Dry ice cleaning came out great
It sure did
As the owner of the very first PCS60 sold to a retail customer in 2019, I was also shocked to learn that ICS Ice Cleaning Systems invented particle control in 2014, 5 years before Cold Jet! I was so surprised, that I invested $5k with a patent attorney to research both companies to see how their respective patents differ or are similar. Turns out, the Cold Jet patent is for the visual pattern on the crushing rollers, not particle control in general like I thought. ICS in Slovakia did not file for a patent in the US, once a product is marketed and sold for 1 year in the public domain, it cannot be protected with a patent. So Cold Jet was legally free to use the crushing roller design. A couple points to understand, dry ice blasting was first used in the early 1940s! Alpheus designed the modern 2 hose systems in the early 1980s. I used to sell Cold Jet PCS60 machines in 2019, since learning that ICS pioneered the particle control technology, we switched to being the exclusive distributor for their products in the US and Canada. Our new IC 410S is half the cost at $26k, is not limited at 145 psi like the PCS60, (actually goes up to 232 psi!) has less electronics to fail, is easily serviced with common tools, and the replacement parts are typically 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of Cold Jet items. Doing this to my 1996 b18c1 , right now the head is at the machine shop. Definitely would like to have all those oem parts to put it back together . If I lived in Florida I would bring my ef there and have you guys work on it.
