Has to be the most beautifully restored Si on the planet! Meticulous, organized workmanship, a pleasure to watch such craftsmen at work. I’m "red" with envy!
Absolutely amazing restoration! I know all us car geeks are freaking out over the attention to detail and the amount of OEM parts being used. This 100% cures my addiction for fresh OEM goodness builds. I don’t even want to know the amount of funds that went into sourcing these parts but amazing job finding them, and it’s awesome Honda still offers some of them!
To think these were everywhere and just ordinary cars back in the 90’s and now everyone is going crazy for them is nuts. Love to see it though! Miss cruising with my team to the cow palace for import shows or hot import nights. The memories!
Such an awesome restoration!! Most of these parts have been discontinued and cant believe you found all these OEM parts. I have an EM1 myself and love it!
This brings back so many memories of my '99 FBP Civic Si that I bought new back in the day. One of the top 3 cars that I regret ever selling (the other 2 were a 2013 Subaru BRZ and a 2015 Subaru WRX STi, so it is in very good company). If we could only afford to keep them all...Where's that time machine? I can't wait to see it finished. I'm sure that you won't be able to wipe the smile off of Mike's face for a very long time! Excellent job guys as always!
Replaced my GSR exhaust tip finisher with one just like those, made a huge difference in the rear end look of the car, since my old one was all dented for like 20 years.
Another great Saturday. Many props to AHC garage team for the fabulous restoration episode. It really brings a smile to my face seeing the car I grew in. Back in my Toyota dealership days mid 2000’s we did a lot of PS hose campaigns and i must admit that Toyotas hose clamps came with a retainer that help the hose clamp expanded so it makes putting the clamp on hose and precisely in the exact position much easier. All in all, i l cannot wait to see the car complete.
masters of the craft, top notch and man what a one of a kind refresh. I was so surprised to see the new cruise control and the airbox parts! Wow just great!
Hi AHC, i just notice the dust seal B in shift linkage on 7:58 is installed from bottom. I also check the parts list for reference before posting this comment. Thanks. Anyway, what a build!! Your EM1 are far better than the a factory one and the attention to detail 👌🏼👌🏼 Congratulations guys!!
This is probably one of the nicest restored civics on the internet. I'm in the process of fixing up a Milano red 00 civic Si as well, unfortunately I'm doing it on my own without sponsors etc. so I'm not as picky about replacing every nut and bolt if it's in good shape. But I have gone through and sandblasted/powder coated the k brace, sway bars/strut bar, rear trailing arms etc. and have replaced every bushing and all the suspension components are brand new (aside from the factory struts which were good yet). I decided to go for more power with mine though and had the B16A2 sleeved by Darton along with a fresh rebuild using forged internals and added a Garrett GT3076R.
Loved the series! just one thing I noticed while watching was the installation of the shifter into the bushing....its installed upside down @7:57. Otherwise, absolutely stunning job! Some of those parts are impossible to find! Keep up the good work!
Absolutely beautiful work, lovely unit. It'd be cool to build the motor and do a small cam upgrade, but only the internals so it would still look 100% stock, but have a little bit more power, higher compression, and just run it on 93 fuel. Would be an extra few ponies but keep the OEM look.
the things I would do to have my milano em1 go thru this treatment is just unspeakable, I am just gonna keep plucking away little by little with what i can afford. pretty sure im gonna start zinc coating myself so that way I can reuse all the original stuff and save a pretty penny
Good night. I want to know if the rear wheels of the civic from 96 to 2000 can be aligned; since they told me that they do not align, but I see that there is an adjustment screw on the compensating arm.
Great restoration! It's too bad 90s Celicas can't be restored like how this Civic is restored with all of its original parts because Toyota doesn't make some of its parts anymore.
Beautiful work and car🚗. Help me find a driver side seatbelt for my 01 Integra gsr coupe. I’m original owner and it’s discontinued. BTW I’d like to send my car to you guys from NY to work on
Not sure if it came like that from factory, but that exhaust tip looks way off. This is why I'm glad mine isn't an Si, I can just modify things I don't like and not feel guilty about it.
Nice build. But i thought OEM parts are mostly discontinued. Unless these guys have underground sources. I mean a brand new denso AC compressor? Come on, man I want in on this.
You can NOT build a 25 year old car like this, by hand, with this amount of care without having a borderline obsession with this era, well done boys.
Has to be the most beautifully restored Si on the planet! Meticulous, organized workmanship, a pleasure to watch such craftsmen at work. I’m "red" with envy!
Thanks so much for the kind words. Means a lot to us!
Honda should buy it from you and put it in a museum ! it is a masterpiece !
Thank you!!
Some of these brand new OEM parts are insane. That's incredible attention to detail.
Thanks very much!!
It's mikes car he can find anything!
Great attention to detail, this execution is what i went for when i was putting together my 91 ef sedan. Just finished after 3yrs.
Thanks for tuning in, much appreciate it
I also bought my axles from Marty, such a great guy and awesome customer service.
Mikey's face when shifting for the first time says it all. Congrats!
Great catch!!
I think I have watched this video about ten times already because my memory is so bad I forget what I watch sometimes😂. Such an amazing build!!
Thanks for the replay!! 🍻🍻
Guys you have outdone yourself on this EM1 restoration. One beautiful car and piece of Honda history.
Thank you. We will sure enjoy this build once it's all done.

Thank you. We started sourcing our parts 2 years prior to this project. We are very happy with the result so far
The coolest part of all this besides the car build is coworkers staying late, calibrating with this build because they enjoy it.
Right on!!
Thank you team AHC for a fantastic trip down memory lane.
Our pleasure!
this is the definition of a oem plus build im jealous mike
Thank you!!
To think these were everywhere and just ordinary cars back in the 90’s and now everyone is going crazy for them is nuts. Love to see it though! Miss cruising with my team to the cow palace for import shows or hot import nights. The memories!
I can't believe the attention to detail on this restoration. Simply outstanding!! Can you provide the part number on the AC compressor.
Thank you. Denso 471-1174
Such an awesome restoration!! Most of these parts have been discontinued and cant believe you found all these OEM parts. I have an EM1 myself and love it!
Thanks! 👍
Beware Intensive Care Unit in action! Great work !
Thanks a lot!
Hi..i from malaysia..i fan of u all..great job..
I’m very impressed with this build! Bought my 99 EM1 brand new and I remember wrenching on my car and it was so clean like this!
One reason why we build this :-)
Fabulous work Guys mine is a 95 DX Two door, had it for twelve years now and the second owner! Creat Cars they'll run forever happy 2024!

Good to hear!
Great job!! One of my favorite RUclips car rebuilds.

Feels like Christmas yo! Thanks for sharing this amazing restore build, EM1 is the Honda that made me a fan for life! 👌
Right on!!
Great job guys Mike and crew! It was satisfying seeing this project come to life. She is so clean now 😃
Yes, she's coming together nicely. Thanks for watching
@@ahcgarage Hope to see another S2000 soon ;)

Don't think it's upside down. Thanks for watching
The quality of this build is unique 👌🏽
Beautiful build!! Only thing i would have done differently is beadblasted that half shaft and sprayed it either silver or matte black.
We left it raw sine they are that way from factory but great recommendation.
Every video gets better and better. Blown away by the ability to get all these new oem parts. What’s the part number on the AC compressor?
Thank you! Denso 471-1174
*SATURDAYS ARE FOR THE BOYS*
🎉🎉🎉

Congratulations! Love this series!
Much appreciate it
Love this EM1 restoration! Down to the brand new nuts and bolts!

Thank you!!
Easy and fun!
Just the only thing thats not easy and fun is amount of money to save up to start this build
That's a great point in terms of the cost of this build
Beatiful, outstanding work!
Thank you!!
Awesome! Beautiful guys!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Im surprised you didn't install better exhaust for some extra performance🚗
Nobody wants to see a fart cannon on this beautiful machine.
Maybe later on

Take your time my friend. Took us 3 year to get to this point.
I remember back in 99 in high school I always wanted this si Civic but end up getting 1996 GSR Integra.
The same reason for this build :-)
Nice build!! enjoy seeing this !!
Thank you
SuperClean Honda 👍the power of dreams😁😀
Indeed it is!
Belleza de trabajo. Cada detalle muy bien llevado. Fantástico 💯👍🏼😉
Thank you!!
Can you guys do a total cost of the rebuild?
We kinda lost track haha

I hope you got some discount on the new oem parts. Brand new car now. Insane.

More to come soon
@@ahcgarageI have a 24 teggy and I don't want to ruin the warranty so I live vicariously through you.
Hi Mike ... can you guys do this to my 95 civic cope? how can I get in contact with you?
Mike hoarding all the EM1 parts 😮 was happy to see you guys use Amsoil too. That’s what I’ve been running in all my Hondas since 07
We planned this project over 5 years ago and started putting our part list together from back then
Beautiful work and car🚗. Help me find a driver side seatbelt for my 01 Integra gsr coupe. I’m original owner and it’s discontinued. BTW I’d like to send my car to you guys from NY to work on
Unfortunately new unit isn't available anymore
LOVE IT
Cheers, thanks for watching!!!
Amazing🥹How can got many new parts? The engine is brand new or 2nd hand?
It was completely rebuilt from top to bottom. Check out the link for this entire series:
ruclips.net/p/PLL2M4mvNCP_yBE8g-V6MlkMJ8GVTj2rse
What shifter did yall use? Doesnt look oem
it looked like a "dual bend" shifter from an Integra or maybe Integra Type R
It's the OEM shifter out of the Type R. Rarely available last one I saw they were asking $600. Still in OEM packaging
You are correct. It's from the Integra Type-R :-)
I hope that there is a company would offer oem discontinued honda parts to help people restore popular vintage honda cars.
That's a great point
Not sure if it came like that from factory, but that exhaust tip looks way off. This is why I'm glad mine isn't an Si, I can just modify things I don't like and not feel guilty about it.
