A quick stopover to explore Morocco before we set sail in an squally upwind battle to the Canary Islands. We experience the beautiful and chaotic Medina of Marrakech, destroy a bunch of at least 50 bananas and were welcomed by some feisty dolphins on arrival in Las Palmas.
A couple from Australia and Norway who set sails from Norway on a Beneteau Oceanis 40 in late 2018 to explore the world by sailboat. (Yup, another sailing couple doing the standard route and documenting it on film.)

Great video. I really enjoyed it and look forward to more.
Cheers mate, much appreciated 🤙🏼
Bra jobba! Det var veldig interessant med god stemning. Gleder meg til neste gang.
Tusen takk Jayne🙏🏻
Flott episode
Tusen takk Reodor 🤙🏼
Another excellent video. A question: I note that you did not put your port and starboard solar panels out. How come?
Thankyou mate. 🙏 We departed Agadir late in the afternoon and it was super bumpy so with the panels down it helps stop the spray.
Curious about your HydroVane. You didn't use it between Morocco and the Canaries. Was there a problem with it?
Hi Ian
We were beating upwind between 30-40 apparent and on our boat shape and large cockpit and spray hood the Vane gets shadowed and does not maintain course well. With the pounding this becomes worse. Once the wind reaches about 70 apparent the Vane is good to go.
That’ll be bruised bananas then......
Smashed and squished all over the deck. Almost nothing left.
I was wondering if there was an inside joke about the bananas
A little yeah, just at what a silly idea it was to leave them hanging on quite a bumpy upwind passage. Lesson learnt
I don't blame you for leaving Morocco that they didn't look like a very good place to visit
What was "bumping" the boat at 9:09.0? Dolphins?
Yeah was dolphins bumping the Hydrovane rudder it’s was really funny to watch.
Great video! Great feeling
Cheers Mate 🤘🏼
Great presentation, nice effect, calm, chilled keep em coming 👍

I can't wait to see the mermaid in the next episode!

Cheers mate, appreciated 🤙🏼
Lovely!!

Another great video guys. Can I ask who you got to do the arch for the solar panels and are you happy with it?
Thankyou Frank. We are really happy with the arch although it’s very basic. We have had a lot of questions about it so we will post the info on our website with a bunch of photos ASAP if that helps.
@@SailingBeaver That would be great - thanks guys
great to see you grow, keep it up
Cheers, we will🙏🏻
