Whilst sailing our way north towards Guadeloupe we share a typical few days island hopping in the Caribbean and everything thats involved along the way including squalls, acceleration zones, bumpy channel crossings, and of course some epic anchorages along the way. The islands themselves are pretty steep and the sailing between them can be a little wild at times but always provides an exciting day on the water.
A couple from Australia and Norway who set sails from Norway on a Beneteau Oceanis 40 in late 2018 to explore the world by sailboat. (Yup, another sailing couple doing the standard route and documenting it on film.)

I love how much ambient sound of water, wind, and boat interacting you include. Super soothing!

Good video of area in the Caribbean that is overlooked by cruisers. Look forward to following you as you sail west.

Will do cheers guys. 🤙
Happy to see you two!! Cheers 😊 ⛵️
🤙⛵️
Great to see you guys made it to NZ without incident. You even managed to avoid the four days of 50kn and 10 mtr swells we had a month or so ago. Looks like you now have time to put up some vids. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey. Should be a great summer here once us Aucklanders are finally allowed to take our boats out of Auckland. I am a fan of the staysail rig btw. Being able to roll up the genoa and still get good power from the staysail is great when the breeze gets up. Hope you get to explore the Hauraki gulf over summer. Cheers.
Thanks, yes we also love that option of a smaller sail to easily furl out and keep the boat balanced. Thanks for the welcome we are glad to be back here safely in a good weather window and hope to make to Auckland over summer. See you on the water, Fair winds 🤙
Great video, loved the soundtrack choices. Smooth an easy to watch. Keep it up!

FYI, Guadeloupe and Martinique are the same country, France Outremer departements....
Yes correct you are, the French Caribbean is funny like that. International travel within the same country. 🇫🇷
