Another offshore passage for us in the South Pacific, but this time to a very remote atoll in French Polynesia. We set off from Fatu Hiva on a 400 mile passage heading SW for our long awaited visit to the Tuamotu Islands. Enjoy!

@@allmomomosthomebus3895 I also agree with the same, I keep coming back to this channel because you do get a sense of being at sea with the great cinema photography and the sound is just about right to hear the lapping of the waves on the boat - great and relaxing to have on in the background while working. Nicole's cooking always makes me hungry :-)

You guys make it look so easy. Great stuff. I think it would great if you did a short video outlining how you run your boom preventer, poles guys, etc on a boat with just 2 winches aft. It looks easy because you've prepared the boat right.

Yep, every 75 yr old teenager dream. Sailing up to a Pacific Islands atoll. Coral sands, coconut palms, dusky maidens, well maybe 1, and fish in the lagoon, aaah heaven on earth, nirvana, paradise. Aaah yes. Happily ever after. Lucky you, this is reality for you guys. For now. A good read is "An Island to Oneself." By fellow kiwi. Tom Neale. Spent about 3 years on Anchorage Island, part of uninhabited Suvvarow Atoll. He was about 50.? Amazon should still have the book. Good thing about the atolls, is regular rain showers, etc. And fish in the lagoon. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Don't be in a hurry to leave, and do yourselves a favour, switch the camera off, and live life as real Island life.....enjoy each others company, for however long you have there. thanks for this new episode and happy birthday Nicole ! Quick question that has nothing to do with this episode : is the noise from the SilentWind generator a problem inside the aft cabine ? Are there vibrations ?
Cheers mate. Not really vibration but you can here the noise when at anchor. If it’s very windy and we don’t need the charge we will switch off for the evening. At sea there is so much noise anyway. 🤙

Very remote Lars. In fact so remote that the word Tuamotus itself means just that in Polynesian… Remote! Anyone trying to zoom in and locate it on google earth could tell ya that but. Silly duffa. 🏝

Hey, yes the videos are a quite abit behind but our instagrams are up to date. We sold Beaver and headed back to Norway to continue cruising in the norther regions (on another boat). We are currently playing catch-up with our Pacific videos. Fair winds! 🤙
