There is a tiny gap on the bottom compared to the originals. I just swapped mine. But, it's not too noticeable and I much prefer the look of the 06-07 lights now.
Glad the information was helpful. I made a part 2 to that video heres the link-ruclips.net/video/onDYCj_EfHI/видео.html. Also I have a 3800/ls4 playlist that go in detail to help with installation and parts worth upgrading to for making your monte carlo more enjoyable.
@@gaspoweredgarage yeah, maybe but you know you need to disclose paid advertisements and I didn't have to dig at a junk yard and with a 3.8 Buick engine with close o 300,000 miles, brakes are the least of my concerns in life.
That video doesn't have any paid advertising. I always include junkyards as cheapest option then eBay more expensive option then next is summit racing or jegs /local parts stores as top option. Some states junkyards are gold mines of cheap slightly used upgrades others aren't. Glad your happy with the brakes you went with but the gxp brake give you shorter braking distance and produces less heat while braking plus there bigger which is why I recommend them for wbody cars.
Sounds like a good daily. If you get it keep up on the maintenance items like lower intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, fuel filter, fuel pump (if original). Should get another 100,000 if cared for.
Cool video. I'm going to start looking out for those Gran Prix Specials at our Pic-a-Part yards here. I'm trying to figure out how to get my side skirts off so I can carbon fiber them. For headlights, I went with the black-housing lights and LED's when I got the car. I like the look, but they're already clouding up after only a year. As for wheels, I wish I could to down to a 15-inch rim. I like the classic muscle car look with white-letter tires. You can't get RWL tires for most 16 or bigger rims, but I got tire stickers for my Riken Raptors, and it really sets it off. That's another cool mod for people who like white-letters.
Glad you enjoyed the video. More wbody content coming soon. Grand prix parts can be had from ebay or Facebook market place if your local salvage yard is low on grand prixs.
Found a dark green 02 ss. So tempted to buy but I can’t choose between it or a black one. I feel like the dark green is so unique and clean I would love to do this on it if I buy it.
Normally I prefer black cars but if I had to choose I would rather have a unique color like green or brown or a low production color nowadays to stand out.
The silver monte carlo in the thumbnail is a 2006 monte carlo ss (ls4) thats been bagged, it has brembo brakes, aftermarket hood/ custom front splitter, big wheels. If you look up Brandon abtosway on either istagram,Facebook or tiktok he can tell you more about it and you see all his pictures of the monte carlo.
