i have a playlist of the whole build on here.
Ive had dreams of doing this to an 05, but also doing away with the auto which i havent seen done yet with these conversions
yeah the owner wanted an auto, ive known him for years, he does not get along good with manual transmissions, i have yet to see one he cant break, LOL
@@chevyfarmersgarage1955 lmao one he can’t break
How much would you charge me to do this to my SS? I’m local in iowa
I want a 2007 SS body/frame and full drivetrain and suspension from a 2010 and up Camaro 2SS… would be a monster
Gm gm would have made the monte and impala rwd . Or at least the ss package. The 9th gen ss was one of my favs as a teen only to get one and be disappointed to find out that they all fwd and the transmission weak and can't handle to much hp. The the 96 impala was nice and I was disappointed to see how the monte and imp fell off compared to the remake of the charger and challenger.
The 86 monte ss was nice until the 90s, and impala was nice up until the 8th- 9th gen. The 8th and 9th impala look great but I want to be able to move quick without frame cutting, welding and basically re-engineering the car.
But I to want to salute you with that monster monte. That is great work you did and if chevy was smart they would contact you and get you in the engineering room asap.
thanks, when GM went to basically all fwd cars i lost interest in them. at least chrysler didnt abandon rwd, but they were the company that mostly went to all fwd before the others back in the 80's with all those k cars and minivans running around. gm and ford seen chrysler was selling the heck out of them and followed right along with their versions, forever changing cars in the USA...
What’s a est amount to perform this conversion
Awesome job man I wish you could make me one 👍🏾👍🏾
thanks for watching
could this be done for around 20k?
if you did it yourself.
What do you think it weighs?
just a guess would be 3200 lbs. would like to weigh it though
Is this possible in the 07 ss?
yes
why rwd swap
😮how much was the owners bill???
How can I make my 2008 ss impala all wheel drive? 🤔
Put the body on a Tahoe frame
Is there a kit for it’
no
Great job bro 💪🏾
thanks
Nice 💯
I want to try to convert mine but I don’t got much experience it makes me sad
LOL, we all have to start somewhere. this kind of major conversion is prob not where you want to start. it would take alot of time and money to complete.
U got enough roads
plenty but not alot of close ones i can raise hell on for too long, LOL
how much would you charge to help me make my intrepid an intrepid "hellcat" lol? (hellcrate motor with awd conversion. with some chassis reinforcement so the power doesn't twist the unibody construction up like a pretzel)
How much you want for it?
not for sale
Hi how will this cost to do my monte?
i get this question alot, not 100% sure that the front end is the way to go, i have other ideas in mind on how to do it differenty so the steering geometry is correct, so i will not quote a price. thanks for watching, i appreciate it
How would u charge to do my 07 MC

Good ole Iowans
somewhere between 2 rivers
wanna build a regal next lol
still not done with the monte 100%. takes alot of $ and time
😍😍😍😍😍
thanks for watching
Yeah I think Chevy messed up they should have made the money Carlo with a V8 rear wheel drive setup and the first place maybe you can sell your idea to Chevy
that would be cool if i could sell the idea to them, but knowing big business they prob would sue me for modifying one of their vehicles, LOL
@@chevyfarmersgarage1955 never thought of that.well fuk them.you have a cool ride and makes me want to do something around fwd into rwd.thank you.
@@gmangasco6700 thanks man, there's alot of them out there to convert. GM biggest downfall was dropping rwd cars as cheap transportation that gearheads could have fun with
How much do u charge for this
Do you have any ideas on how to fix the steering geometry??
most likely a different spindle that is factory front steer. have not dug that far into the problem yet.
@@chevyfarmersgarage1955 okay you’ll have to update us when you figure it out... and what did you do for a driveshaft?? Did you have one made ? Or where you able to use one out of something?
@@superknuckles884 will do. used a crown vic driveshaft, just remember depending on what trans and where the engine is mounted would change the driveshaft length
@@chevyfarmersgarage1955 okay that’s something good to remember... thanks for the advice and keep up the good work love the build
Update???
Sweeet!
💯💪🏾
thanks man
@@chevyfarmersgarage1955 great job I sure wish these LS4's came rear wheel drive. Love what your doing bro. 💯💪🏾
@@skyisthalimit83 GM made a big mistake not making more rwd cars, &

Yesssss sweet music 🎶
I heard a 750 carb makes those work...
going to try the 600 and a 750 on it at the drag strip
@@chevyfarmersgarage1955 I have a blue 07 Monte Carlo SS 5.3 deleted cats... I wish I could get mines rear wheel drive. 🤦
FWD would have been successful if they were a success. Turn the 3.29 gears to 2.92, 15hp/25lbtq increase, reliable transmission. Would have been a much more successful car commercially
fwd v8 worst part is the trans are known for going out, if you beat on them, drive it easy they last, but what funs a v8 if you dont beat on it, LOL
Put the ss body on it plz😭😭😭
plans are to do that
