Then came along brushless motors and controllers, then lithium batteries and the game changed forever, no one was really interested in the messy, high maintenance, nitro powered stuff anymore.

Yea, I still love a naturally aspirated gas engine sound and all that, but the torque you instantly have from an electric motor is just insane. ATM I'm converting a Honda Trail 70 into electric with a 10kw electric motor. Eventually someday I want to build a 4 wheel independent emotor sand rail or something like it like maybe a dune buggy or something like this UTV here. I've been addicted to electric motors since yrs back when I put a 1400w hub motor on a mountain bike and got it to 44mph in a few seconds. I was hooked. And a bit scared also. That crazy torque takes a bit getting used to. But that's when it's the most fun, right?

I’ve been saying for years that electric Rzr’s are the future. How cool would a silent Rzr be on the Moab slick rock country? Magical! With the slow speeds I bet 60-100 mile range would be no problem, which would be all the trails you could ride in a day.
Lower gear = slower speeds = same or more motor RPM as when you're wheelin' the open terrain. So rock crawlin' would prob be even less mileage. But crawlin', you could prob pack in a few more batteries. Don't forget the genny! Now if they could make ultra clean, ultra efficient generators....this could really mean something for all sides of the climate debate (especially the ones who like to have fun).
@@DJtheDad For electric cars the major part of what costs energy is the winddrag. On dirt trails electric cars can get crazy extra range. They are way more efficient if you keep below 20 miles/h. Love how he said it looks better then factory lol
Don’t respond to him it’s a scam I almost fell for it there’s no verification mark
@@dominicdevita8178 every time I comment I always get a reply from one of the scammers -_- I don’t know why Dave’s channel is so horrible for it, other then his it only happens once on whistlingdiesels.
@@BradleyBeeksAdventures yeah it sucks when you get so exited then you realize it’s fake
@@dominicdevita8178 yea true, wish people would triple check before falling for the scams! Some people just like taking from hard working people wile they sit on their ass and do nothing -_-
Now imagine this, two motors, no batteries and limitless energy for it. If Tesla was alive today, you better believe this is what he would be creating.
Oh geez... another infinite perpetual energy dreamer.
Naw... its transmitting energy through towers. We have on here near me
At 308 Dale Acres Rd, Milford, TX 76670
Would be an awesome weight reduction
yeah ummm, we dodged a bullet with Tesla and his wireless electricity tech he was trying to develop. Free Leukemia for all !!
@@stevewinwood3674 lmao it's already been done
It’s like riding a horse on steroids! No noise, you and the speed!!! Awesome!
Good seeing the muscle in the video. Been a minute since he’s been on. That Rzr is insane and looks like a blast to drive. Full size RC car.
Use the front axles as alternater for a little more charge. This is endless for new tech
I agree with that should be a way to Regen power even in small amounts to get to charging station
You'd need a front motor or a transfer case connecting to the rear motor since the motor is the alternator you speak of
Needs to have a way to free spool some how so you can coast if you want to, it's like operating a cat dozer if let off you stop.
The electric motor is already an alternator so need of extra hardware, it just needs an additional motor to be awd
@@rowdybroomstick6394 you can use a knob to dial in regen. Anything is controllable since it's electronic
$1400 for a battery back up ! That’s crazy
The Prius technology really helps in recharging the batteries I guess they aren’t as lame as everyone says!😅
There is nothing lame in a Prius lol!!!! People have even already started to use Prius electric hardware for EV conversions not just the batteries but chargers/inverters……
@@carholic-sz3qv ive had a Prius for 6 years lol
Nah, Prius motors still suck lol
@@mattweger437They barley have a motor and have been named one of the most reliable cars year after year so I wouldn’t necessarily say they suck!😂
Definitely can't wait for the next video keep me posted guys love the show...
You should have put the yok steering wheel in there. Awesome work awesome video
Just imagine plaid motors and battery's in that😳 😂
Death machine
0-60 in -.9sec 😜 it would need a longer frame so it wouldnt wheelie all the time... But just imagine how fast it would be 🤯.
Which batteries and electric motors!? Those things are even heavier and won’t add any additional range on the thing lol….
Why would you care about range so much? Better to rip it hard and let the machine rest and recharge while you do too. Nobody dunes all day long.
Why would you care about range so much? Better to rip it hard and let the machine rest and recharge while you do too. Nobody dunes all day long.
They would be pretty cool but I’d still always choose gas over electric any day 😂
Only 20 miles per charge. So when you’re out for the weekend do you need a diesel powered generator to charge your electric Polaris??? 😂🤣😅
Could you image how loud and annoying camp would be if EVERYONE was running a big generator allllll night
same one powering the motor coach will work.
@@TheMiraldi bury them.

Wow that thing is fast lots of torque can't wait to see what all they do with this in the future love the clean look though...
Saw Diesel Dave in Roosevelt today, very majestic
Time to run it against the one RichRebuilds just built.
The fact that a $400k boat doesn't have usb ports 😂🤣😂 $1400 battery pack 🤦♂️
Um....the power supply was for the Navy boat they used to recover the Pavati...As you might remember their usb's were under 90 ft of water and less than useful.
it was an old boat
sweeeeeeet, love it, love that it's silent
EV is good
Pretty sweet electric RS1! I've seen photos of it on the net but it was nice to see it put through its paces and racing it against a gas RS1 was hilarious. I could seriously get used to the power and quietness
Wow would love to see you guys do a project with the Electric Garage
Nice job editing the video much better👍🏻
Can’t wait till they start manufacturing electric off-road toys having all that power
I was in a magnum pro charged LS7 Tatum 2.0 with a $30,00 motor and that thing you built would put up a fight lol all of you are amazing

FIRST TIME I'VE HEARD THE SOUND A PADDLE TIRE MAKES. EPIC.
You need to build a changing kit and batteries on the trailer to charge the buggy and batteries.
I had a VW sand rail years ago, I loved it so much
