buy a gold mine.....short answer no! the equipment says they werent pulling enough ore out to be worth keeping the mine going.... yes there is or was enough gold there to warrant the equipment and humanities greed says if it could pay they would be working it. if you have the money for a shitload of geo servey it may make a reasonable return on investment but reality is unless you can sell your spoils itll be a money pit. now if it were full of lithium or rare earth minerals its worth it

Would love to see some gold mining content from you and your crew. Getting Fred Dodge involved is solid advice, not only could he give you good info on equipment condition but also how to make it more efficient. He could also give insight into where on the property to mine or where gold should be. Even if you don't go the gold mining route I'll still keep watching your recoveries. One thing tho next time you get under 5+ ton loader arms make sure you have some sort of safety stop. In the vid may have had one on the other side, especially when working with older equipment. Even if it was that awesome telehandler under its bucket just in case. Couldn't believe how beast it was with that smaller crawler. Didn't seem to be too much for it at all. Good content sir keep it up please.

My dad's circular saw (bought in the 80's and used almost daily for 2 decades) still works perfectly. We got one of the first cordless drills Makita released in the 90's & my friends dubbed it "the Mighty Makita" because it was used for everything... from dad's construction jobs to dismantling furniture for friends. The only reason I don't still use it is that they don't make the batteries anymore. You definitely get what you pay for!

If you seriously were to consider the Mine I would give Freddy Dodge to come look at the equipment and samples from the mine to see if it is viable. He can show you how to run it too.

Industrial Gold builds one hell of a compressor! A good friend that has a welding shop bought one after my recomendation since I had been using one in my body shop for over a year without any issues. Anyway, he didn't have it installed for more than a couple of months when he had a water seperator blow apart in the middle of the night. He isn't sure how many hours the compressor ran, but when he opened up the shop that next morning it was full of smoke. He killed the compressor, found the bad seperator and replaced it, then changed the compressor oil. The thing took back off and there was 0 pressure loss. It worked like a new one. John and his guys definitly do it right.

Go mining! The smaller loader may be an International, they were partial to red, so was Austin-Western. Our county road department had 2 Austin- Western road graders that were almost the same shade of red as the little track loader.

I enjoy watching (with envy) your recovery videos. The "Drott" trackloader that you're referring to appears to be an ol' International TD 6 or 9 with pre-60's Harvester red paint. Drott made attachments for International and other manufacturers way back then. Please keep the recovery videos coming.

50-80V AC or DC? No probably not. Also they'd have to have a grounding rod stuck. And electricity takes the path of least resistance so the first pole that touches ground.

I've always been told: "if you are going to use starting fluid on a diesel, ONLY use just a TINY amount, no more and be sure you are turning the motor over when you spray (for the smallest fraction of a second) the intake."...so seeing him just hose that diesel engine with starting fluid kinda shocked me a tad.
