One of the most valuable comments I have seen in years... hahahah
Thanks for the videos makes it easier for all of us
Ooo9ok
Honestly Dave does a pretty good job recording. Doesn’t bother me whether he is recording or if he’s getting recorded. All good 👍
Ya it doesn't bother me ... but a gimbal wouldn't hurt hahaha
Same
But i would prefer less after affects.
Dave is the bees knees 👊 yeah 🤙👍✌️
I really hope he keeps these units and sells his communist equipment from SANY 🙏👍
I liked how it was in the video, don't want it too overdone.
I honestly thought this was a great video. The quality doesn't matter that much to me when it comes to videos like this. It's the content and the excitement that keep me watching. Great job Dave I'd like to see more of these
So if you don't say honestly than you are not telling the truth? Asking for a friend :).

I am amazed that these trucks don't get stuck or flip over close to sides then noticed one truck fully loaded only slides out about a half load@@joanlgraves3709
Been a heavy duty truck/equipment mechanic for 38 years and working with a crew like that would be fun/relaxing/rewarding. Common sense, patients and a lets see approach usually pays off. Nothing like bringing life back (TLC) into a written off heartbroken machine. EDIT: Subbed.
Did you mean patience?
Its 2024 though
I know sometimes a rig cannot be saved, but it's so awesome to see an old machine like that dozer fire up and move. She may be long beyond her prime but she's one tough old girl and deserves to keep going for as long as she can~
I think it's nice to have the whole crew involved and you wouldn't have to worry about camera angles while you're trying to get a job done. You all work great together and it's always fun to see you all interact.
A big thank you to your wives, partners and families for being so accepting of your adventures x
Loved the pure joy on Dave’s face when they got it going. ‘If you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life.’
He looks like a little boy with that smile-grin....having fun💪👍
The saying goes: if you love what you do in life, you never work a day in your life
One thing I love about this channel, is on the multi part stuff, they really try to put them ALL out as quickly as possible. So many channels.... GOOD channels, drag them out into weekly episodes!

@@gogonog its really Dave lol
I’m just an old Gal that doesn’t know much about the work you do, but I’m hooked on how you bring these of ancient hunks of iron back to life. I admire and respect the depth of knowledge you and your crew have for restoring life to these machines. My last job was working as a commercial painter for a ship manufacturer, producing fishing boats, US Coast Guard ships, and such items as port hole windows, doors, etc. for high end private yachts. Occasionally a specialized crew would be called out for ‘touch ups’ or repairs on the yachts and took us around the world, which was a true adventure in itself. That job at least gave me the expertise to paint private cars, boats, or ???. Lots of fun for sure! Keep at it guys, as I’m a fascinated follower!
I love that instinct Dave has in knowing when to give that dozer just a taste of throttle at the right time. Mad respect.
I thought the same
He got the touch

@@bryanluntz1603 I don't know if he's counting the seconds, listening for something specific in the engine, but there's definitely some calculation going on. You can see it on his face.

These are my favorite videos that come from you, Dave. As a mechanic, I love seeing your work on old equipment and seeing you getting them running again. Love it, keep up the good work.
For all the great things you do for others, seeing you happy with your team working on a project is wonderful!
I love when all the guys are around and the epic camera angles but having Dave do solo blogs is rad too. I will watch anything on the channel.

I enjoy the rawness and realness of this vlog style. Cool to see Daves real personality without too many ads
I love the raw footage
My dad has a 89 case 455 and when you got that dozer started it made me smile so big. He has been gone almost 2 years now and the case hasn't been started in probably a good 10 years. I definitely miss that sound!
Your editors are fantastic, I’ve never had editors make me laugh from how they edit videos but your editor/editors are hilarious, I appreciate their sense of humor that they subtlety insert into as many videos as they can, definitely adds value to already action packed and entertaining content, shout-out to the heavy D editors, you/you guys rock
They usually have restrictions
Jesus Dave, you are one of a kind
"So were just gonna edit this out real quick. Alright you're good to go hans." Haha yeah that shits funny
I dunno, I think zoomers who can't understand basic, human facial expressions, and think it's unreasonable that other people expect that they should, are more terrifying than funny. Like a portent of a coming apocalypse.
They’re literally just the same zoomer meme cuts that everyone on yt overuses… it’s like having attention deficit disorder for 30 minutes. And they’re getting more & more indulgent with it. I don’t need an irrelevant meme cut every 30 seconds. Plus the editors always ruin the suspense of whether or not the job will be a success. It’s fucking annoying.
I think it was cool seeing Dave out there by himself without all of the crew. And as a fellow editor, I love the shots where you are editing the video, cool cut.
Love seeing these machines coming back to life after so long, great job.
Commented not long ago and reported both comments on mine. Don’t know if anyone else can do the same.
I love watching these videos so let’s clean up the spam! Also, I am from a family of mechanics and I knew the one was going to run. I yelled “hydrolocks’” about a minute later you showed it worked!!! Love it!
Nothing like the sweet sound of a long-dormant engine catching & rumbling back into life! Looking forward to Big Iron - Episode 2 👍
Absolutely impeccable timing!! Just sat down to eat and my favorite content creator posts!! Hell yea guys
No better combination 🤌
Hard work sure pays off!! Keep on being awesome boys!!
I do like the solo's with Dave! Watching the cogs, and his sense of humour is bloody brilliant. Love to you all on the crew from Australia
Loved watching Dave do the scouting before the recovery as a Vlog. Gives us some more insight into the "everyday" workings of Sparks Motor Co. / Recovery / Search / Wild Antics.
It doesn't really matter what you guys are doing, it's always entertaining. I love watching a bunch of guys that have a great friendship like you all do, the love shows through and it's always a good time!
Honestly love Dave's solo blog. It's more personal, and relatable he's still the same big kid as most of us dudes, just doing what we would do.
I love your content, I'm autistic and love machinery, the bigger the better, finding your channel has brought me endless hours of stimulation and you seem like a really good guy! Love from the UK 🇬🇧
I enjoy all aspects of your filming. It's nice that it changes from the groups to just you at various times. It feels like we see a different side of you on your own, which I love. And the group obviously adds great banter. Love watching .. from Ireland! Thanks
You Irish guys are awesome! Dirft Games and crew are here in Vegas for SEMA!👍
Dave you are a huge inspiration to me. Thanks for everything you do, and I admire how well you treat your crew. at least on camera. lol.
I’m so jealous of Big D’s crew they get to have all the got damn fun !!!!!!!!!!!!
That landscape is just crazy beautiful ❤ especially with those fall colours!
FABULOUS LANDSCAPE
Really neat to see someone who really loves their job.
I love your sense of humor and the clips from tv and movies that pop up. Thanks
Between the editing and you Dave and all the guys that work with you. You all show exactly what it’s like to work hard but have fun while doing it.
That Big Dozer with the big cab would be sweet to resto modded. It would be cool to integrate modern controls and comfort to a massive cab like that. A/C, heated and cooled seats, a mini fridge, wifi, etc.
Thatd only cost a cool million or two… 😂
@@jeepnutscotty nah. he owns a shop. labor is already payroll.
@@dustyc324 your comment only proves you have absolutely zero idea of what's involved or the cost of components... 1-2mill would be parts alone, zero labour. Go price a compatable electric over hydraulic blade controller, let alone the electronic trans, or the ACERT Engine, custom wiring looms ECU's, custom fabrication etc
That would be cool to see the cab be all fixed up. But the controls for that machine are all mechanical linkage directly to the brakes and drive clutches so sadly you cant make them modern. But they are a blast to drive and gives you respect for the guys that drove them for 10 hours plus a day. they are rough to operate.
Keep it just the way it is. Just fix the issues it has back to factory condition and itll work for much longer than most new machines
This dude can do it all.
I’m not sure man. With all those mountains he’s been around I’ve still yet to see the man yodel…
Thats what she said lol
Actually, he has dudes do it for him. All Dave does is pay the bills, narrates, and drives the equipment.
He hasn't a clue about anything related to Caterpillars or anything related to heavy equipment....even basic stuff. Spending an evening going over an operation and maintenance manual would be a big help. While typing this I cringe at the stuff this guy is saying on the computer
@@sidcostello7532 💯 he’s got one thing that’s propelled his success. He’s a smooth talker.
In my opinion he’s a liar, thief and megalomaniac. Scamming his followers with crap Nikola stock, his run ins with government regarding emissions and employment practices and dangerously competitive behavior (anytime he’s invited to an event he crashes into people and ruins events)
He’s got lots of answers and excuses for everything that’s happens. It’s usually someone else…. Although I’ve always found you continue to hear the same thing from multiple sources it starts to have some truth.
This is great ,can't wait ,I'm big machine lover n was cheering that dozer on with you ...use TO do lots my own mechanical work ....ssoo, loving this video n will watch whole series ....I'm 80 y.o. lady now but would still love to be able to help you with those beauties ...TY for making my "how ever long these videos will run ....+ Doing re-runs" ty !!! I love what you guys do! It's honestly a highlight of my day watching you guys get shit done, and work as a team! It reminds me of my workplace! Keep up the great work! Cheers from MN
YES! This is my favourite kind of content from you guys! I'm looking forward to the rest of this series 👍
I like Dave's solo recordings and the editing with funny clips, but not in excess otherwise they just get annoying. I wonder if Alan will end up taking one of these excavators home? 😂
I knew I wasn’t the only one that thought some of the clips were too much and I like memes just as much as anyone else 😂
@@Nightkids7777 I love making memes! But when the clips are too close together or repetitive and focusing on silly noises, it's really distracting from the content and it feels forced.
The guys are funny on their own, especially Diesel Dave but even that has been edited out lately for these clips.
I enjoyed the old episodes with the gang fixing or breaking things, epic drone shots, quality music and all round good times 😊
I totally agree with your comments about the childish inserts on the video here too and that in itself almost kills the whole video too
I love the normal videos with the cinematic videography and editing, but I also love this style and what the editors have done with it. Always cool to be along for the ride and immersed in the adventures!!

I love seeing the detail of how you and your team bring these glorious old machines back to life! Thanks, and the recording is just fine by me btw
These machines would be perfect for Alan's mountain top and the road.
There's enough machines to even share with Brent at Cerro Gordo and the wizard Allen. Looking forward to more of these videos Dave and the crew.
Hell yah !!!!!!! My thoughts exactly….
Exactly what I came here to say. Brent could definitely use one too. Even if they’re old they’re still better than a shovel

Dave, your smile is infectious and had me beaming along with you.
Watching your love for life, family and adventure truly fills some voids I have in my own life. It’s some of the best content on RUclips
Great video gotta love start ups of old machines, its like doctors giving them life again and the machine starts to get personalities. that's how it's been for me anyways with cars and motorcycles bringing life back to them. Much love and respect guys great episode looking forward to the next ones!
Love the mini series option. Keeps me thirsty for more!
HDS's solo blogs, and the interjections by the editor are hilarious!
Honest man honest days work with a little "outlaw shit getting out of hand" love it
It’s so good to see the entire crew working together again

All these in-game RUclips NPCs are starting to get to me.
Including all the illeagals, good job 👍👍👏👏👏
I have to say - Eric’s editing is seriously so good. Lmfao. The hunter close-ups are god-mode. EXCELLENT CHOICE on the clips. Especially sling blade. Lmfao.
Yes!! Always love a good recovery video🥰
I like the self recording because he shows what he is talking about when he is talking about it. When someone is recording him they won't take the camera off Heavy D when he is talking about something and pointing at it.
I love the team work, you guys are great. Couldn't believe that dozer started after so long, that was awesome! I don't have a problem with Dave filming on his own, the sound wasn't always great but you can't control the wind!
You and the crew are on game! Thanks for your work!

A multi part series........... Yeah, I'm down for that. Especially if you guys are going to be posting every few days. And it looks like it's going to be a good one. And no matter who records it........ As long as they get all the good stuff in there. :)

Nahhhhh that edit at 9:49 was hard 😭 shoutout to the editing team, y’all do a great job.

Yeah, always love a good recovery!
My dads first new dozer was a D7 identical to that one minus the cab and ripper. Was a hard workin machine and helped save our towns during the winter of 1997. Built a plywood and plexiglass cab around the rops with a pipe across the hood from the front of the radiator blowing heat on his feet. The 235 is about 85,000 lbs and the 245 is about 135,000. Both slow but hard workers in their day.
Ummmm. Hell Yes!!! I want to see more of these vlog/editor sections. They’re so funny!
Those CAT 245's are good excavator's. They made them with a front shovel too but those are quite rare to find due to no one really needing a front shovel excavator that small when they were made. Very reliable machines when taken care of and maintained.
Who leaves expensive equipment behind..I believe the truth is not being told
Thought the same shit. But it could be that it was to expensive to carry back
because some people have something break and have to much stuff to do and maybe don’t know how to fix it smh 😂

More solo Dave! Love seeing these old kids being rescued. What's the plan for the Dozer? PLEASE overhaul and make it new!
The solo vlogs are amusing with the editing. So much great editing.
So you learned all about these big machines, one after another. You didn't know anything about them when you first started out buying these big boys? That cab makes you look small!!! I love how all these guys work well together & have fun doing it. Very pretty up there. Be kind to one another. Stay safe. Love to all
