One of the most forgettable Pokémon for me is Hoopa. I watched a whole movie about it twice, and still managed to forget what it was.

I disagree. Hoopa is one of the most memorable legendaries ever. He was the first ever legendary to have so many other legendaries featured in his movie. Like, had you seen a large scale Pokemon battle in which that many legends duked it out and fought like that? Him pulling out multiple legendaries, and then pitting them against each other, like a large scale war, was pretty cool.

I wouldnt call it the most forgettable pokemon, but a forgettable legendary. If you asked me to name every legendary, ill prolly forget about Hoopa

Elgyem and beheeyem were so forgettable for me that when I played sword and shield and encountered elgyem I thought he was a new pokemon. He stayed on my team for the whole game because I actually find him quite cute 🥰
I only remember Beheeyem because of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and that one episode where they controlled Meowth. I didn’t even know Elgyem existed until I replayed Pokémon Black.

Honestly Maractus is quite memorable to me due to its cries in the games, also, I do remember Sigilyph due to its appearance, so personally I would put that sand hippo on the list instead, or maybe that vulture or even Relicanth
Hippowdon is very viable competitively so it's pretty memorable, also Mandibuzz is sort of Iconic.

I remember it because I (think) it was how I discovered the ability Water Absorb. I had a Water type and decided it would be fine to get some extra EXP, even if the move wasnt effective. I used a water type move and it popped up with 'Maractus's Water Absorb'.

I actually don't find Maractus forgettable.

The only reason I remember Corsola's existence is because when I was 8 my dad bought the Latios and Latias Pokemon anime movie for me to watch and I saw it in there and didn't recognize it, so I googled it and now forever remember it.
I used Swanna in 2 gen 5 playthroughs, and as a mixed attacker that can learn SURF And FLY it was pretty useful, ALSO with the keen eye ability holding a shadow tag it can keep away anoying encounters while grinding hidden grottos or something.
Ducklett is so forgettable that when I saw one in Pokémon X I thought it was from gen 6.
I keep thinking Ducklette and Swanna are Gen 7s...
I thought that Stantler was from generation 5...
I actually really like Swanna. Don’t know why, I just do. I like to use it on rain teams so it can use Hurricane
To be honest, Beeheyem learning TM51 is probally a reference to Area 51, so it probally wasn't forgotten, it was just a silly easter egg.

Huh. Maractus was actually memorable to me because it was the first grass type I caught in a nuzlocke playthrough. It was a rather sturdy Pokemon for me, able to tank quite a few hits being a pure grass type. I did not know it only had a 10% encounter rate!

They probably left steel wing on the Elgyem line because it was tm 51, in reference to Area 51 because Elgyem and Beheeyem are aliens.

Basculin and Standler now are more memorable in the "new" hisui region, gaining new evolutions

Femke Feenstra If you thought Elesa was bad with those Emolga, well sorry, Dryden is worse than that because most of the ice types were not that great. So I had to find an Axew and then grind it up to match the rest of my team. It took forever for it to not be horrible, even then it kept being murdered by Ghetsis’s Hydreigon

I'll always have a soft spot for Stantler because when I was little my friend and I played Pokemon together and she gave me a shiny Stantler. She passed away in a car crash the week after that. It's always sad to see people trash the Pokemon. Especially since the main reason for it is stats. But no one I know even cares about stats or abilities.
The game is supposed to be about picking Pokemon you like and have a connection with. Not because it's good.

I think Stantler is gnarly. It gets Hypnosis and Intimidate, but also I think those antler eyes are cool and mysterious. You know, everyone has favourites and least favourites. My favourite starter is Meganium. Idiotic, right?? But when something happens, like that tragedy you mentioned, it's easy to find love in simple things you hadn't noticed. You made me love Stantler even more. I'll use it on one of my next playthroughs. It's nickname will be your username. I'll love it and cherish it as much as it deserves

Its interesting looking back on this video. Luckily Stantler got Wyrdeer, basculin got basculegion, Corsola got Regional evolution in form of Cursola, farfetch'd now finally has evolved form sirfetch'd (though I prefer Madame more). & theres more to come in future, pkmn like lumineon & maractus could also get new evolution & that'd be dope.

I used a maractus during my black randomized nuzlocke, so its pretty fresh in my mind. Without this playthrough i wouldnt guess it a million years.

Every time I see mention of sir-fetched I think to myself “I should have used that on my team, because it uses a sword and I’m playing Sword and shield” I still used Agislash on my team but stil
So, my experience with these are different, I used Chingling in my Pearl playthrough (and then ditched Chimecho when my Eevee evolved into Espeon). I remember Phione because it's iconic for being the result of breeding the only breedable legendary. I played gen 2 to death so I remember Stantler pretty darn well, Finneon and Lumineon i forgot that they were from generation 4 even though I remembered them otherwise.
The rest are from gen 5 which I didn't play, so technically I can't forget them, I never knew them to begin with, but several of those are found in Kalos which I did play, Ducklett was found pretty early, and Sigilyph was found at the same place that you could find Eevee outside the second gym (I may not have remembered that unless I was looking for Eevee's to catch). Heatmor and Durant was found outside the cave Zygarde was in, Basculin is everywhere when i play Pokemon Go now (admittedly when this video was uploaded, it wasn't released, heck not even sun and moon was released yet).
And finally Elgyem and Maractus (which I even right after watching this video misremembered as Maracnea...) were not in Kalos or Hoenn except being hidden pokemon or found on a mirage island (one which i probably never visited), I also didn't play Sun and moon, so when I found Elgyem in Shield I actually thought it was a brand new pokemon.
I always remember Cryogonal because it creeps me out for some reason, as well as Ducklett since I used it inmy Gen5 team because it knew Surf and Fly both

It's fascinating that there's such widespread consensus about which Pokemon are the most forgettable, compared with the huge range of opinions about people's most/least favorite Pokemon. I recently made a list of all the Pokemon I consider most forgettable, and almost all of my selections are also in other people's "most forgettable Pokemon" lists.
Coming back to this video after wyrdeer and basculiegon were released in arceus… they are rememberable now

Thought I'd agree with all your choices...then you got to number 3! I LOVE Sigilyph! By far the best flying type in Unova for me. It is always first on my selection ideas for my team when I start a new gen 5 playthrough (would love to use Braviary but it is so late game)

I have watched every episode of the anime of gen 5and played all the games as well to death, and I’ve only seen Maractus a couple of times. One was in the optional battle tower and the other time was in an anime episode starring a Maractus. That is it.

Liam Marron Well I was just talking about the fifth generation, If you don’t agree with that then you’re either max 12 years old or just stupid. I love all the other seasons/generations but that one was sooo dissappointing, the pokemons were awful, like AWFUL, and the story was boring.
I feel sorry for sigilyph and heatmor becuase they have pretty cool designs but poor stats and aren't in the game much
Joyit hey at least sigilyth has amazing movepool cosmic power stored power charge beam roost. It is a Pokemon that snowballs very fast when used properly. However heatmor is just terrible.
I know, heatmor also gets pretty good moves, like GIGA DRAIN, which literally covers all of its weaknesses, if i just got better stats, or even an evlution, it would be SO Freaking GOOD
Joyit also swanna has the best support movepool of any flying type. It also has an amazing typing defensive wise it just lacks the bulk to make use of its support moves.
Sigilyph had some play in TCG for its 2 unique abilities but I guess use outside the main game doesn't count
Joyit sigilyth gets some use because of its decent bulk cosmic power stores power a decent recovery in roost and whatever other move you want ( iI perfer charge beam)
I remember Finneon because every time I would encounter one in Gen VII, I would always mimic its cry. It sounded like "beepbeepbeepbeep!" so I always said "Oh it's a beep-beep!" So Finneon is my beep-beep Pokemon. :)

I used it in BW since it also has psychic along with flying unlike say the pidove line. Pretty good pokemon for my team.
I was surprised too, Sigilyph is one of the very few things that I remember about Black & White, I even remember where you catch it even though I forgot basically every other places in the game. Whether you like it or not, I find its design pretty memorable.

The only reason i remember swanna and ducklett is because they are the BEST for hms in unova. Dive, fly, surf, and cut cover everything but waterfall, which doesn't even get much use anyways

I use it. It's very good, I needed a psychic and a flying type, so Sigilyph was so freacking good for me, 'cause it's the 2 types.
