For fact number 17, you could use a fighting-steel-fairy trio. This was the type combination I gave to my first fakemon starter trio. It was fire fairy, water fighting and grass steel. Now, I need to think of a way to fix the fire fairy starter.
Chikorita's main color changing from yellow to green is really interesting and explains why it looks different in older games/artwork. I also didn't know it was the most popular starter in the anime!
Replacement types also work for Rock > Fire > Steel and Poison > Grass > Ground, but they both include types that are apart of the original starter trio, so this is less likely. Rock > Fire > Steel, is also even less likely because the Steel and Rock type starters would resist a lot of early game normal type moves that the Fire starter wouldn’t.

@@zememerr2329 Yeah, the "AAAAALMOST" factor is kinda like Gen 6, except in that one they fortified the pre-existing loop. The theme of the Alolan starters imo probably fall more in line as rpg roles part two rather than circus, with Incineroar being a berserker, Decidueye an archer, and Primarina a cleric/bard
Heres a fact : The kalos Starters final forms are the two triangles being Grass - Water - Fire And Fightin - Dark - Pychic Chesnaut = Grass/Fighting Greninja = Water/Dark Delphox = Fire/Pychic NOTE: Idk if anyone already knew this but I thought it was pretty cool
Hey, TheAuraGuardian! There’s also another alternative trio of the classic water/fire/grass starter typings. That type trio would be fighting/steel/fairy. An interesting set for sure.
Fighting doesn’t resist steel, so that doesn’t work. All of them also need to be resistant to the type they’re strong against, which is why water-fire-grass works so well.
Greninja was also the first Pokémon to get two Holowears in Pokémon Unite, and is only one of three to have more than one (the others being Pikachu and Snorlax). Charizard hasn't even gotten one yet, so it seems like they are favouring Greninja
Other starter fact: players weren't able to nickname their pokémon 'Sobble' prior to the 8th generation. This is because s.o.b apparently stood for 'son of bitch'. I found this as one of the worst decisions ever made by game freak.
According to beta information, Cydnaquil was orginally planned to be a steel type. This is explains why "Metal Claw" seemed weird that only scizor got it, As it has pincers NOT claws, crabhammer existed, metal pincer move would have been easy to do. I think it might have been planned for the steel type version of cyndaquil, something that has claws but the move was thrown onto scizor as it was already complete.
Most of the prontagonists from Pokémon Adventures choose the "Tank" starters (As in, their best attribute when fully evolved is their HP). The exceptions are Gold, who uses a Cyndaquil (a "speed-type", and the Johto Tank, Croconaw, belonging to Silver instead) and Blake, who has the more balanced Samurott.
The Alola starters are all very good, especially Incineroar and Primarina. I’m glad they did something different with them, they’re all unique in their own way. Decidueye could’ve been given a better HA, though.
Things like Red's Poli and Brock's Onix and Jame's Growlithe are one of the many reasons I differentiate between Starter Pokemon and First Pokemon. First Pokemon are the first Pokemon a character has, Starter Pokemon are specifically the fire, water, and grass type Pokemon given out by Professors for whatever reason they do so.
10:33 actually I believe that it was mentioned by the staff that all the gen 1 starters were based off of terrarium pets. The genetic and dinosaur themes are a coincidence.
Speaking of Pokemon manga. I like that almost every main character expect for three characters had a pokemon that is not a starter as they first pokemon.
10:50 you forgot they also follow/based off of three empires with popularity in Japan. Oshowatt line being the Japanese empire The Snivy line being the French empire.(look at the promanient yellow symbols) I don't know why Japan was fascinated by that particular empire. Another fact: beta cyndaquil has the same colour as shiny quilava in the coliseum
charizard and typlosion are doing the exact same pose
The theme of the Alolan starters imo probably fall more in line as rpg roles part two rather than circus, with Incineroar being a berserker, Decidueye an archer, and Primarina a cleric/bard
11:06 Reminds we of the last time I heard about themes people thought that gen 8 starters where going to be sports theme
When he said swampert had 535 stat total, I was laughing because infernape has 534 stat total
Auras videos are absolutely amazing but we need videos like this weekly
Heres a fact :
The kalos Starters final forms are the two triangles being Grass - Water - Fire And Fightin - Dark - Pychic
Chesnaut = Grass/Fighting
Greninja = Water/Dark
Delphox = Fire/Pychic
NOTE:
Idk if anyone already knew this but I thought it was pretty cool
Kalos
Everyone knew this.....
@@reptilesceptile1035 Like I said Idk if people already knew this I just thought it was cool
gen 9 follows a carnival trio (magician, mariachi and dancer)
9:19 Kinda like the rest of Alola
Pokemon fact: When I first evolved Chespin I was immediately reminded of Bin Laden
I'm so ready for the new Pokemon games I feel empty without catching Pokemons
Hey, TheAuraGuardian! There’s also another alternative trio of the classic
water/fire/grass starter typings. That type trio would be fighting/steel/fairy. An interesting set for sure.
Fighting doesn't resist Steel though.
Fighting doesn’t resist steel, so that doesn’t work. All of them also need to be resistant to the type they’re strong against, which is why water-fire-grass works so well.
Fairy-Steel-Fighting also works and in my opinion, are the most intriguing starter types
1:05 I'm Spanish, and the fact that you just happened to focus on that language killed me
I remember the Gen 2 and Gen 1 starters' similarities because of Pokemon Challenge and him bashing on Typhlosion lol
But the guy who gave stats and abilities to Piplup and Oshawatt was probably not good
:(
Mya favorite part of the video was hearing the different themes each trio follows!
Most of the prontagonists from Pokémon Adventures choose the "Tank" starters (As in, their best attribute when fully evolved is their HP). The exceptions are Gold, who uses a Cyndaquil (a "speed-type", and the Johto Tank, Croconaw, belonging to Silver instead) and Blake, who has the more balanced Samurott.
> the Johto Tank, Croconaw
Meganium sitting in a corner crying.
wait ,who's the tank of gen 7? Primarina?
The thing about starter themes was so cool!! I never knew that!!!
The Alola starters are all very good, especially Incineroar and Primarina. I’m glad they did something different with them, they’re all unique in their own way. Decidueye could’ve been given a better HA, though.
I dunno why but I love when you show your own thumbnail in the same video
I mean the whole Fighting, Psychic, Dark thing did happen in X and Y.
Fire Psychic
Grass Fighting
Water Dark
Most important note I got from this, Blaziken became Latias. And my life is complete
I like how the first 3 facts are just bullying bulbasaur
Things like Red's Poli and Brock's Onix and Jame's Growlithe are one of the many reasons I differentiate between Starter Pokemon and First Pokemon. First Pokemon are the first Pokemon a character has, Starter Pokemon are specifically the fire, water, and grass type Pokemon given out by Professors for whatever reason they do so.
Awww, if only the Latias and Blaziken hybrid that was originally Blaziken’s beta form could be a thing.

@@A_Person177 true that
10:33 actually I believe that it was mentioned by the staff that all the gen 1 starters were based off of terrarium pets. The genetic and dinosaur themes are a coincidence.
6:26 YES! SWAMPERT!!
I would un-ironically choose chikorita if the beta gen 2 designs stayed.
Fact 21: Both Torracat and Raboot have a base Stat total of 420 and have the ability Blaze. Nice. 👌
8:10 flaaffy didnt appear in gen 2 at all (so i heard because i havent watched the gen 2 anime yet)
Blastoise also joined the rank of Ubers in Generation 8 in a form of Mega Blastoise due to his access to Shell Smash.
it is damn rare that I actually learn something from a vid like this, but you did it
Speaking of Pokemon manga.
I like that almost every main character expect for three characters had a pokemon that is not a starter as they first pokemon.
Yo! 😄 great video 😁 I really enjoyed this one 🔥🤘🔥
10:50 you forgot they also follow/based off of three empires with popularity in Japan.
Oshowatt line being the Japanese empire
The Snivy line being the French empire.(look at the promanient yellow symbols) I don't know why Japan was fascinated by that particular empire. Probably because the conquered Vietnam for a couple of years.
The Tepig line being an assortment of Chinse dynasties.
However that was still something didn't expect.

I’m so happy I’m not the only one who has thought this, even their z move backgrounds in a way remind me of circus tents
