Riley thomasson not necessarily, if you try releasing a pokemon with an hm you'll find they will comeback and the game says they cameback because they were worried about you. this means a pokemon doesn't automatically just forget you for being released. If wally wanted to he could just tell his gallade to just wait and get into the new pokeball.
One thing I've always vividly remembered during my first ever play through of Leaf Green as a kid was that Diglett had a total of 2 evolution stages. Diglett > Dugduo > Dugtrio. I dont know WHERE the hell that memory came from, but I have a vivid memory of me caring a Dugduo(despite it not existing). It's something that I still laugh about and just assume it was me being a kid and being dumb but, it is so vivid that it FEELS like it was real.

If you look at the beta version of the legendary beasts, they resemble these dog silhouettes in a way. I like to think that their beta version were the actual ones.
Regarding the legendary dogs: Sometimes when we’re viewing a flashback, we see it from the storyteller’s POV (whether they actually witnessed it or not) and since they didn’t know what the legendary dogs used to be, that could be why they just appeared as shadowy, dog-like creatures.
That would explain why you only see two cores in the anime because the other 3 were in their 10% forms when they perished and were revived as the legendary beasts

About the Pokeballs, If you were REALLY close with your Pokemon, like Wally would be with his Gallade, and you say, wanted a cooler pokeball, or one that's more comfortable for the pokemon (Think about putting your starter into a luxary ball, always wanted to do that) Wouldn't it be possible to talk to your pokemon, release it, and recatch it with whatever pokeball it wanted to be in? If it's that close to you, and trusted you, I feel like this could be entirely possible. Obviously there's no mechanic for this in the games, but in the pokemon world itself? I think it could explain why Wally switched Pokeballs. maybe he just thought an Ultra ball looked cooler. (Also if They made that something you COULD do in game I would be SOOOOO happy)

Wally could have had multiple Ralts. Why would that be hard to believe? You know how many dupes everyone gets in their copies? Also.. Meowth coins are just solid gold coins. So you can trade that for actual money anywhere you go since gold is worth money everywhere.

I feel like it's the same Gallade, Wally isn't the type of person to just throw away that ralts he loved dearly for a better one I mean even in the final battle still over half of his team is the exact same team even after all his strategy and adjustments. I think he just ended up with gallade in the ultraball some how. Maybe it was another universe, maybe ultraballs better pokeballs work better because they're more spacious and comfortable so maybe he switched it's pokeball later on. Like maybe going by anime logic you can try to release a pokemon but it has to choose whether or not to go, there are also pokemon that never go in the ball or escape at random. Maybe he basically released Gallade from the Pokeball to give it a cozy spacious upgrade and re-caught it in the ultra ball so it wouldn't be as uncomfortable it makes me think of how eggs will take up random pokeballs in the games now, they don't just auto default into pokeballs but rather the last one you used. Maybe it's like that he just decided to switch it up for whatever reason and keep gallade in an ultra ball maybe for organization or comfort, or the alternate universe theory works too where he got a better pokeball to catch it with way back when to help out a little, maybe a universe where he doesn't get help catching it so he got better supplies and succeeded as a trainer quicker which is why he's like 12 but considered as one of the many master class trainers. RBE take place in a universe where the concept of mega evolution don't exists, like red and blue, gold and silver up to black 2 and white 2. S/M take place in the same universe as X/Y and ORAS, because mega evolution is possible. SW/SH take place in another different universe where the concept of dynamax/gigantamax is possible.

I remember the first time I heard about the mystery of what the dog trio were before Ho-oh revived them and I was really shocked because I had always assumed that it was implied or at least obvious that it was the three stone evolutions of Eevee. I mean they share the same types and Eevee and it evolutions are pretty dog or cat like respectively kinda like Entei, Suicune and Raikou

My theory for the Gen4 items being in Gen7 is that they WERE planning to make Gen4 remakes on the 3DS - that WAS the pattern to date - but the 3DS can still play the Gen4 games natively, and they aged somewhat gracefully. Not as much would be accomplished by remaking Gen4 under the Gen7 engine. So they tossed the idea and chose to delay the Gen4 remakes until Gen8 and the move to the Switch full time.
Seeing that They didn’t do generation 1 remakes in generation 2 this is most likely true. Fire Red and Leaf Green could have been made to have all Pokémon accessible in generation 3 (You couldn’t just transfer from Red, Blue or Yellow). Heart Gold and Soul Silver could have been made to make all Johto Pokémon accessible in generation 4 (The DS couldn’t Play Game Boy Colour games). Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire could have been made to make Hoenn Pokémon available in generation 6 (and all others). Yeah you can transfer Pokémon from generation 3 to generation 6 but that’s really tedious. And Let’s Go Pikachu And Let’s Go Eevee could have been made to start off Pokémon on the switch with A mix of Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon Go? I don’t know!

In-game that is what it has been limited to in-world... that is just an impossibility of it not happening. Pokeball can be damaged and would, therefore, need to be replaced in the case they are. They would clearly have a system in place that would transfer a pokemon from one Pokeball to another due to that factor. As for customizing pokeballs not being a thing, or then the capsule system we were given in-game for contests. I can name a few. A diamond encrusted Pokeball. A green color pokeball (It was specifically a Pokeball that was colored green instead of red not a different type of ball). The four pokeballs in the first episode of the anime. Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle all had their names engraved on their pokeballs. In addition, they were no longer in those balls and had gone with their new trainer. Meaning Oak somehow moved them from one Pokeball to another. Pikachu's Pokeball was engraved with a lightning bolt. Team Rockets custom pokeballs (black with a red R), Anne and Oakley's custom 'kiss' pokeballs. Last, but not least is a pokeball that had the button on the top/ was painted in a way that made it look that way.

The answer to second question is in Pokémon Gold Beta, in at nearly the end of the pokédex you can find the beta version of Entei Raikou and Suicune, they look identical to the animal dying in the Generation episode. To question number six, in Sun Moon anime we see a dugtrio separating and getting together while using try-attack, from three different angles, so Dugtrio can separate and it becomes, a single Dugtrio in three different places, weird. Question eight the a big part of the program in new game is made starting from the previous game, remove all the old key items would not make sense since the order can change and they might need something to stay in the newer games. it's been like this for ages.

The unnamed creatures from the Beast story are meant to be unknown. Even if Generations is canon, the shadows we see are not meant to be factual, they intentionally made them not have distinctive features. But the actual point I want to make is that this, like a lot of other theories (including the tired gen1-eeveelution one), is missing one crucial part of the story. In the process of revival, Ho-oh specifically empowered the unnamed dead PKMN with the three elements of the events that occured (lightning strike, fire, rain). This alone makes it absurd to me to suggest that the PKMN already were focused on an element beforehand. This makes a good case for them being EEVEEs, while crushing the idea of them having been eeveelutions. I mean, Eevee is literally susceptible to sources of elemental powers, heck, especially to exactly these 3 elements (since none of the other eeveelutions evolve by straight out evolutionary stones). But yeah, pretty sure Gamefreak will never actually reveal if there is an actual answer, if there even ever was an intended one.

My theory on grass pokemon... is that it's different depending on the pokemon. I imagine some are: - meat, just with some plant-based powers, and/or growths/camouflage (Snivy, Pansage, Lilleep, etc...) - meat, but with *seperate* plants, either growing from it's body, or otherwise held by the 'mon. (Venusaur, Torterra, Sawsbuck, Comfey, Flabebe etc...) - meat plant hybrid. Has mixed traits of both plant and animal. (Exeggutor, Tropius, Shiftry, etc...) - plant. The whole creature is an animated plant (Oddish, Sunflora, Carnivine, Dhelmise, Bellsprout, etc..) ------- Though these are just headcanons; take em with a grain of salt!
I was going to say I think that Dhelmise is just a ghost type that posesses a seaweed covered anchor and thus it utilizes the plants as weapons as oposed to it's "body" giving it grass typing (I think it could be in with pokemon with additional plants) I agree to the plant+ animal hybrids though I feel like Venasaur's line probably fits there where as lileep might be a sentient plant or a hybrid (as it may be based off a type of ancient sea creature I've been watching Birdkeepertoby's pokemon origina videos a lot) but I agree I think all the animal based ones are either plant animal hybrids or animals utilizing the power of plants and the ones based souly on plants are probably just sentient plants I think it's a clever enough headcannon

But since it IS a ghost, it could be possessing the anchor part too, making it a hybrid? But regardless there's no meat involved so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lileep SHOULD BE a straight-up animal. It's based on sea-lillies, which are animals related to Sea Cucumbers and Starfish n such. But since it's a POKEMON... who knows. A plant which looks like an animal which looks like a plant is very much possible Thank you tho!

One thing I've always vividly remembered during my first ever play through of Leaf Green as a kid was that Diglett had a total of 2 evolution stages.
Diglett > Dugduo > Dugtrio.
I dont know WHERE the hell that memory came from, but I have a vivid memory of me caring a Dugduo(despite it not existing).

Regarding the legendary dogs: Sometimes when we’re viewing a flashback, we see it from the storyteller’s POV (whether they actually witnessed it or not) and since they didn’t know what the legendary dogs used to be, that could be why they just appeared as shadowy, dog-like creatures.

About the Pokeballs, If you were REALLY close with your Pokemon, like Wally would be with his Gallade, and you say, wanted a cooler pokeball, or one that's more comfortable for the pokemon (Think about putting your starter into a luxary ball, always wanted to do that) Wouldn't it be possible to talk to your pokemon, release it, and recatch it with whatever pokeball it wanted to be in? If it's that close to you, and trusted you, I feel like this could be entirely possible. Obviously there's no mechanic for this in the games, but in the pokemon world itself? I think it could explain why Wally switched Pokeballs. maybe he just thought an Ultra ball looked cooler. (Also if They made that something you COULD do in game I would be SOOOOO happy)

So maybe this Wally was loaned or gifted Gallade by an experienced trainer which is why it's already in an ultraball and why he hasn't aged much because maybe he didn't have to train as long to hit "master class" in that universe (if we go off the universe thing) but yeah it's kinda like eggs appear in random pokeballs based off of the mother, or off of the last one you used or something now, maybe he just wanted to switch up the pokeball so he released and re-caught it, that seems reasonable to me ash has in theory done that.

I feel like it's the same Gallade, Wally isn't the type of person to just throw away that ralts he loved dearly for a better one I mean even in the final battle still over half of his team is the exact same team even after all his strategy and adjustments. I think he just ended up with gallade in the ultraball some how. Maybe it was another universe, maybe ultraballs better pokeballs work better because they're more spacious and comfortable so maybe he switched it's pokeball later on. Like maybe going by anime logic you can try to release a pokemon but it has to choose whether or not to go, there are also pokemon that never go in the ball or escape at random. Maybe he basically released Gallade from the Pokeball to give it a cozy spacious upgrade and re-caught it in the ultra ball so it wouldn't be as uncomfortable it makes me think of how eggs will take up random pokeballs in the games now, they don't just auto default into pokeballs but rather the last one you used. Maybe it's like that he just decided to switch it up for whatever reason and keep gallade in an ultra ball maybe for organization or comfort, or the alternate universe theory works too where he got a better pokeball to catch it with way back when to help out a little, maybe a universe where he doesn't get help catching it so he got better supplies and succeeded as a trainer quicker which is why he's like 12 but considered as one of the many master class trainers. My theory for the Gen4 items being in Gen7 is that they WERE planning to make Gen4 remakes on the 3DS - that WAS the pattern to date - but the 3DS can still play the Gen4 games natively, and they aged somewhat gracefully.
Not as much would be accomplished by remaking Gen4 under the Gen7 engine.
So they tossed the idea and chose to delay the Gen4 remakes until Gen8 and the move to the Switch full time.
Seeing that They didn’t do generation 1 remakes in generation 2 this is most likely true.
Fire Red and Leaf Green could have been made to have all Pokémon accessible in generation 3 (You couldn’t just transfer from Red, Blue or Yellow).
Heart Gold and Soul Silver could have been made to make all Johto Pokémon accessible in generation 4 (The DS couldn’t Play Game Boy Colour games).
Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire could have been made to make Hoenn Pokémon available in generation 6 (and all others).
Yeah you can transfer Pokémon from generation 3 to generation 6 but that’s really tedious.

In-game that is what it has been limited to in-world... that is just an impossibility of it not happening. Pokeball can be damaged and would, therefore, need to be replaced in the case they are. They would clearly have a system in place that would transfer a pokemon from one Pokeball to another due to that factor. As for customizing pokeballs not being a thing, or then the capsule system we were given in-game for contests.
I can name a few. A diamond encrusted Pokeball. A green color pokeball (It was specifically a Pokeball that was colored green instead of red not a different type of ball). The four pokeballs in the first episode of the anime. Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle all had their names engraved on their pokeballs. In addition, they were no longer in those balls and had gone with their new trainer. Meaning Oak somehow moved them from one Pokeball to another. The unnamed creatures from the Beast story are meant to be unknown. Even if Generations is canon, the shadows we see are not meant to be factual, they intentionally made them not have distinctive features.
But the actual point I want to make is that this, like a lot of other theories (including the tired gen1-eeveelution one), is missing one crucial part of the story. In the process of revival, Ho-oh specifically empowered the unnamed dead PKMN with the three elements of the events that occured (lightning strike, fire, rain). This alone makes it absurd to me to suggest that the PKMN already were focused on an element beforehand.
This makes a good case for them being EEVEEs, while crushing the idea of them having been eeveelutions.
I mean, Eevee is literally susceptible to sources of elemental powers, heck, especially to exactly these 3 elements (since none of the other eeveelutions evolve by straight out evolutionary stones).
But yeah, pretty sure Gamefreak will never actually reveal if there is an actual answer, if there even ever was an intended one.

My theory on grass pokemon... is that it's different depending on the pokemon.
I imagine some are:
- meat, just with some plant-based powers, and/or growths/camouflage (Snivy, Pansage, Lilleep, etc...)
- meat, but with *seperate* plants, either growing from it's body, or otherwise held by the 'mon. (Venusaur, Torterra, Sawsbuck, Comfey, Flabebe etc...)
- meat plant hybrid. Has mixed traits of both plant and animal. (Exeggutor, Tropius, Shiftry, etc...)
- plant. The whole creature is an animated plant (Oddish, Sunflora, Carnivine, Dhelmise, Bellsprout, etc..)

I was going to say I think that Dhelmise is just a ghost type that posesses a seaweed covered anchor and thus it utilizes the plants as weapons as oposed to it's "body" giving it grass typing (I think it could be in with pokemon with additional plants) I agree to the plant+ animal hybrids though I feel like Venasaur's line probably fits there where as lileep might be a sentient plant or a hybrid (as it may be based off a type of ancient sea creature I've been watching Birdkeepertoby's pokemon origina videos a lot) but I agree I think all the animal based ones are either plant animal hybrids or animals utilizing the power of plants and the ones based souly on plants are probably just sentient plants I think it's a clever enough headcannon

Lileep SHOULD BE a straight-up animal. It's based on sea-lillies, which are animals related to Sea Cucumbers and Starfish n such. But since it's a POKEMON... who knows. A plant which looks like an animal which looks like a plant is very much possible
