(7:47)(#20) that was actually a translation error, in the original Japanese versions, you would trade a kadabra to that guy. however when the game was translated to English, the tradeable pokemon was changed to a raichu, the devs forgot to alter the dialogue, therefor creating this now infamous translation error
It would be interesting if after a thunder stone you would need to traid raichu to get gorochu, meaning the line would be: Pichu >(high friendship)> pikachu >(thunder stone)> raichu >(trade)> gorochu Maybe also add the round beta pichu from 1997 demo as the first in the line and evolve it by level. 9:10 Actually, Seviper WOULD be the best choice, since it can learn Flamethrower. Swellow can also learn a fire move, Heat Wave, but not in gen 3, and it certainly wouldn't be as effective since it has a way lower special attack stat than Seviper.
@@azurneon No. cause Forretress is Bug/STEEL. Steel resists Flying so no. meanwhile Seviper can learn Flamethrower which is a strong special fire move. Heat Wave is a bit weaker (i think) and overall isnt as good. So Seviper is better than Swellow in this situation.
Funny, I thought the #1 spot would be “gotta catch em all” since unless you have a copy of each game in a given generation, you CANT catch em all... 😏😏😏
At least in Sword and Shield they have been removed from the Pokedex as well, so even if you can't have all Pokemon in existence you at least can fill the Pokedex of that region. No, I don’t have a switch and likely never will be able to afford one. I wouldn’t buy a whole system for just 1 game. Think about the immense library of games for all the handheld systems that were incredible and surprisingly affordable at their respective times. The Brick Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBA, (& the SP) the DS and the 3DS. There are many games on those systems (not just Pokémon) that made them awesome. I have yet to see a game launch for the switch (or ANY modern console for that matter) that really impresses me like all those older games did. Sigh... they just don’t make em like they use to... oh gosh I do sound old!

Whiscash eats it.
and in the same anime May uses a poke ball on a munchlax and Munchlax ate the pokeball but still was caught. But when the man used a master ball on a whiscash the whiscash ate the ball and nothing happened XD
TBF, When Munchlax ate the pokeball, he was munching on it, probably prompting the capture.
However, Whiscash just swallow it in one go, not giving any time for the masterball to react.

(7:47)(#20) that was actually a translation error, in the original Japanese versions, you would trade a kadabra to that guy. however when the game was translated to English, the tradeable pokemon was changed to a raichu, the devs forgot to alter the dialogue, therefor creating this now infamous translation error
Wait...you can give a Alakazam To an NPC in Gen 1?
It would be interesting if after a thunder stone you would need to traid raichu to get gorochu, meaning the line would be:
Pichu >(high friendship)> pikachu >(thunder stone)> raichu >(trade)> gorochu
Maybe also add the round beta pichu from 1997 demo as the first in the line and evolve it by level.
For simplicity I'll call the round one chupi:
Chupi >(level 7)> pichu >(high friendship)> pikachu >(thunder stone)> raichu >(trade)> gorochu

The TV show and movies have also lied several times; mistaking pokemon and their typing, mistaking one pokemon for another, and so on
Lyra in HGSS always ringing you up to tell you that yet again her Marill has evolved into Azumarill when CLEARLY it is STILL A MARILL!!!
I always imagined that the Cinnabar Quiz was more of a technicality in the sense that Butterfree is part of the evolutionary chain. Although it's worded weird enough I still have to think about it.

To be fair! Exploud is actually a decent choice as it’s a fully evolved Pokémon against a baby. It doesn’t matter how much of a type advantage Tyrogue has, it won’t survive a boomburst from an Exploud
The Feraligatr I traded you evolved!
Into a Lapras
!!! Your lapras wants ro evolve into mudkip!
You know this was always a weird thing in original games, but then it never was shaped as the pokemon you were using till the newer games. I mean it was a blob in some games but the lapras one was cool
9:10 Actually, Seviper WOULD be the best choice, since it can learn Flamethrower. Swellow can also learn a fire move, Heat Wave, but not in gen 3, and it certainly wouldn't be as effective since it has a way lower special attack stat than Seviper.
Well maybe but it’s a TM move for seviper and I don’t think there are tms in anime
@@sassas1487 I remeber in black and white anime herdier was using shadow ball and herdier can't learn shadow ball by itself
Swellow is a Flying Type, so technically, moves aside, it would have an advantage against Forretress from the get-go
@@azurneon I don't think so
Forretress is bug/steel type so swellow doesn't have much advantage
@@azurneon No. cause Forretress is Bug/STEEL. Steel resists Flying so no. meanwhile Seviper can learn Flamethrower which is a strong special fire move. Heat Wave is a bit weaker (i think) and overall isnt as good. So Seviper is better than Swellow in this situation.

Funny, I thought the #1 spot would be “gotta catch em all” since unless you have a copy of each game in a given generation, you CANT catch em all... 😏😏😏
Or, you know, nobody can in swoosh.
At least in Sword and Shield they have been removed from the Pokedex as well, so even if you can't have all Pokemon in existence you at least can fill the Pokedex of that region. As far as I remember in Ruby and Sapphire though all Pokemon still had slots in the Pokedex however until the remake of the 1st gen games you couldn't get those in either game and also couldn't transfer them from the old games.
@@Grey_Warden_Invasion i can't believe Pokemon are still doing the 2 version crap 1 must sell better than the other one and they are on cartridges so cost more money than a cd. can't believe they don't have multiple saves and difficulty settings yet either.
Gen 3 and Gen 2 both proved how bunk gotta catch em all was. :3
But hey lets ignore facts and hate on Gen 8 because that's still the popular thing to do right? ~w~
Yakupup I never said I hate gen 8. I’m mostly disappointed Pokémon is leaving the handheld systems that gave it life and accessibility to all.
I knew it. It would say teddiursa as I was cracking up laughing. Well to be fair Ash is the narrator. The guy who in the same region thought it was a good idea to electrocute both of his Pokemon to win a gym battle
The guy who used a tepig against a roggenrola.
The guy who uses thunderbolt on ground types.
The guy who released a super greninja and a would-be naganadel
