@@MacaroniHairZenitsu16 That could actually work
Wow, that’s more than a billion lions could handle.
And then just get Toxic'd and set-up on. 🙄 I mean, yes I know this isn't a Competitive channel but
There’s a reason Rowlett, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil were the chosen mons to be starters. Each of their names hold a feudal Japanese reference in which Legends of Arceus was built around- feudal Japan. Not to discount the lack of love chikorita and todadile got but there were reasons.
At least they could've made Chikorita and Totodile accessible somewhere, since it sucks that both of those starters are just locked away from people for like 3 regions already. And the games that had them prominently are like almost 15 years old (the only other thing they even got in those years was being a gimmick reward for qr codes in gen 7). I love all 3 Johto starters and it sucks that only one was avalible in new games (not counting BDSP, since they are remakes - and they cut the whole dex after gen4, but I'm glad they are usable there). I get it that other starters are also absent most of the time (which also sucks, since pre Switch era games tried to make all previous starters somewhat relevant/accessible, even if they were post game or hidden content).
@@dozzy9984 all the past-gen starters are returning in the Indigo Disk DLC!
For what it's worth, Ariados was gifted a signature move in Gen 7 that would actually be a pretty solid move if given to a pokemon with better stats.
yeah cause ariados has god awful stats, especially with how slow it is cause it doesn't have a single niche
Glad someone else remembered! I loved using my Toxic Thread Ariados in the Battle Tree, even though it wasn't very good
Yeah still could benefit from an evolution. Would be cool if it had a regional form that mimicked Durant since theoretically part of Ariados’s design inspiration was an Ant-Mimic Jumping Spider.
I loved my Ariados, whom I named "Sheeeeeeeesh". He got me a 50-streak in Doubles at the Battle Tree. I ran a bulky biased set with Toxic Thread, Sucker Punch, Baton Pass, and Fell Stinger.

It's worth mentioning Unown did get a buff in Legends Arceus by changing how Hidden Power worked. Now it's not just one type, but it picks a type the opponent is weak to. That's a pretty giant buff, considering that's Unown's only move.

19:54 rewatching this after the Gen 9 DLC announcement officially revealed Paradox Suicune as Walking Wake
Edit: Paradox Raikou and Entei for Indigo Disk as Raging Bolt and Gouging Fire, respectively
Yeah from the future I can confirm they got paradoxes
I really wish they would bring back the “baby Pokémon in the wild have 3 perfect IVs” thing. It really gave an incentive to catch and raise them.
I mean, while that is nice in a way, a huge issue right now is that baby pokemon cannot breed, but are the result of breeding regardless of incense.
Due to baby pokemon being much more common and a lot easier to catch, I kinda get the IV thing, but on the other hand, hypertraining kinda replaced that.
In which gen it worked?
@@ldmtag Gen 6. To be precise, any wild Pokemon in the "Undiscovered/No Eggs" group would be guaranteed tp have at least 3 perfect IVs. This was presumebly done to make getting competitive-ready Legendaries less painful, but a side effect of this made Baby Pokemon (which can't breed either) be affected by this too.
Personally, I've had an idea of Octillary evolving into a giant pirate ship that's also a giant squid, with canons under its suckers. I gave it the water/steel typing, and named it Kalarmada.
Oh my god, that name is absolute perfection. I'd love to see this officially
Honestly, Dhelmise would be much more suited to have a pirate ship evolution
I think it would fit better as Water/Steel
K A L A R M A D A BABY!
DO NOT GIVE A POKÉMON WITH MOODY AN EVO
The only upside I can think of for baby forms is they let some Pokemon be encountered earlier than they normally would and give the satisfaction of getting one more evolution as you play.
It's neat to, for example, get a Pichu at the start of SuMo and work with it to get it to Pikachu instead of just getting a Pikachu right off.
Azurill is another one like that, and I remember catching one early on in my Pokemon Y game to use as my Water type in a playthrough.
Better example might be something like Smoochum, since Jinx is almost always caught super late but Smoochum could be placed in the wild early, or Igglybuff, which you can get super early in SV, but Jigglypuff normally is an early/mid encounter instead of a route 1 encounter.
It's not a lot, but it's one purpose for baby forms, I guess!
Today I learned robbery and burglary are different, with burglary being much safer.
Lugia and Luigi sound like they could be two box art legendaries.

I know you counted getting the fairy type as special treatment for azumarill, but its also worth mentioning the fact that it was given the ability huge power in gen 3 when abilities were introduced. That plus the physical/special split in gen 4 made azumarill so strong. It's just been getting better and better over the years

I can actually see Sunflora's potential to evolve. I'd like to imagine Sunflora's evolution being a Grass/Fire type because it's a "sun" flower. Kinda like if Volcarona was a flower.
I highly doubt Sunflora will ever get an evolution, concidering it's a stone evo, and so far they have all been final evos.
I don't know how stone evos would be able to evolve further unless GameFreak introduces a new fancy hyper-stone evolution method or such.
But if such a method were to be created in, say, gen 10, Delcatty DESPERATELY needs an evolution as well, being the actual worst stone evo, even worse than Sunflora, at least imo, idk if some genuises have figured out a way to make Delcatty pseudo-OP in some way while Sunflora is still just playing hide and seek in plant pots.
@@Rubywing4 and why not both? There plenty of unexpected evolutions gamefreak did. Like people barely expected bisharp end primape to evolve.
@@Alouette_EXE The thing is, the new unexpected evolutions were on mons that either have no evos or evolved through level-up, not stone evos.
Not sure what you mean by "both", if you mean Delcatty and Sunflora, I mean, I never said either needs an evo more than the other, they both need evos desparately.
I'm just saying, Sunflora has pretty good Sp. Attack but bad everything else, while Delcatty has bad stats across the board, the only good stat being its speed at 90, which is only decent.
@@Rubywing4 well i mean both Delcatty and Sunflora. And it doesn't matter if Sunflora is a stone evo or it has a high special attack. Gamefreak always has different weird mechanics on how to evolved certain pokemon and it is still a fact that Sunflora is a first evolution so it still has a room to evolve.
@@Alouette_EXE I know it has room for an evolution, I'm just doubtful it will get one because stone evos so far have never gained an additional evo beyond pre-evos, which has not helped their case at all.
But hey, who knows? Maybe GameFreak will surprise us with breaking their unspoken rule of stone evos in future gens.
I feel that a Future Paradox Ledian would be pretty cool. It wouldn't improve actual Ledian but aside from a new evolution which would be likely to mess up the designs simplicity, it seems like a good compromise.
2:00 actually the starters they chose are the ones they are because of their inspiration and how it relates to the japanese(?) themes of hisui, a samurai, an archer, and a honeybadger (if that’s what typhlosion is). And they chose a honeybadger bc it has smth to do w a samurai yokai (not fully sure if I got all the details right but you get the point)

Ash-Greninja is available through the Pokémon SM demo so...that was the truly first case of a starter getting a unique form while the others didn't
Yeah, that was weird to say "First time in Pokémon history where one starter got a new form and the others did not"
Greninja in gen 6 got literally everything served to him on a silver platter and Chesnaught and Delphox got shafted about a hundred ways to sunday.
Imo, those two by far are the most shafted starters in history, not getting any new forms, not having any treatment, be it special or not, being both completely and utterly overshadowed by the gen 1 starters getting megas and being shoved down our throats *and* Greninja getting absurd anime exposure, a new form, a busted-ass secret ability (two if you count its other form) and so on and not being obtainable in a *single game* since X/Y, literally. You only can get them in S/M/USUM by trading them in from a game (aka X/Y) and not any way like other starters with island scan or something, you can't get them in gen 8 and gen 9... oh wait, you can. Guess which one. Yup, Greninja.
The Johto starters are a case of generally not getting enough exposure until Typhlosion got some with its Hisuian form, but imo Chesnaught and Delphox are the starters that truly drew the shortest end of the stick when compared to its compatriots. Gen 5 also will have super shafted starters until the gen 5 remakes, to be clear. But even they were playable and obtainable in more games, having a pair of games and their sequels. Delphox and Chesnaught don't even have a third version.
The only thing Chesnaught and Delphox have gotten since X and Y was Braixen being playable in Pokkén Tournament, which hardly counts IMO.

I've had a very cool idea for a Shuckle evolution. Give it like a multi layer stack of rotating shells that it can shoot juice out of. Keep the defense and maybe bump the attacks just a very tiny bit. After taking a certain amount or type of damage the shells break, like Eiscue, and after that slash the defense but shoot up the attacks and speed. Boom, new Shuckle.
1:10 actually, the first time a starter got a new form without the other two getting anything was Greninja gaining the Ash forms, while Delphox and Chesnaught getting nothing
And besides that, Samurott and Decidueye got something but the other gen 5 and gen 7 starters got nothing, so people who know what legends Arkoos is but not Ash-Greninja would also complain about that.
@@shadowdragonemperor4250I'm guessing you mean "anime original".
Which sure, it did show up first in the anime, but it's not an anime exclusive thing since you can get Greninja with battle bond in games through events, it has it's own base stat total of 640 which is massive compared to it's regular base stat total of 530 and it has been used in Online competitive play, meaning it's usable and ultimately has the edge over it's other fellow starters because of that.
@@hensleydodson5733All Alola starters got their signature Z-Moves in Gen 7, but Rowlet is the only one to get another later gen love in Gen 8 in the form of Hisuian Decidueye
I know they already had the dialga/Celebi time travel stuff in the mystery dungeon series but it just makes so much sense to tie them into scarlet and violet DLC with time travel being such a focal point of the games. Dialga is already featured in Legends Arceus and could be a great way to tie that in and Celebi could be used as a way to explain bringing the paradox Pokemon to the present
It's certainly interesting to think about, but I disagree with it making sense. Dialga is from hisui/sinnoh, which is based on Hokkaido in Japan. Celebi is also from a region based on a place in Japan. Scarlet and Violet take place in what is very Spanish/Portuguese. The looks and feels of Dialga and Celebi don't fit neatly with the region. The time travel machine fits much better, both in the story and as design. A product of a professor becoming obsessed with learning more about this strange place and it's past/future, which has become out of control and sucking more and more pokemon from other times into the present.
And aside from that, it would be really weird to have a legendary Pokemon from a different region play a main role in games that take place in a completely different region on the other side of the world. Legends Arceus and the mystery dungeon had legendaries play a role in the story where their home region is (near), so that was much less jarring
As a person who loved Misdreavus, you could imagine my excitement seeing Flutter Mane in Area Zero having never heard of it before playing the game.
Also, Flutter Mane is a Ghost/Fairy type. Meaning that after all these years, Mimikyu is no longer alone.

Yeah but New Pokemon Snap isn't a mainline game and it isn't that popular
To play devil’s advocate for baby forms: they DO allow trainers to get Pokémon previously overlooked or previously rare a lot earlier(such as sudowoodo and snorlax…..though munchlax’s debut was anything but common)
While the baby forms are DEFINETY not upgrades, they make up for it by making trainers discover Pokémon a lot sooner
I love them because they're cute too. I mean who wouldn't want pichu to not exist????
Baby pokemon are the best. They learn odd moves for their typing and have strong status effects. I wish we had MORE baby Pokemon. Igglybuff is my favorite Pokemon of all time.
This. The whole point of them is to get a leg in early on those super strong later game Pokémon. Now admittingly some of them are probably not all that useful in that regard- Igglybuff and Jigglypuff are generally found around the same location at comparable levels. The same can be said if Azuril and Marill or Pichu and Pikachu. But there’s still the primary benefit you mentioned. Most babies have access to moves that the older forms do not have.
Besides they’re honestly kind of cool. Elekid and Magby are surprisingly strong for their size. Riolu, too, is much stronger than some people give it credit for. Smoochum is also similarly strong. A fair few of the babies are kept locked off from too many stronger moves by having a limited TM pool, but not all of them.
Elekid and Magby evolving at 30 instead of friendship was actually genius cause in Gen 1 Electabuzz and Magmar couldn't be lower. These are the only 2 babies I wanna use cause they actually work like more traditional party members
@@BearWith_You They’re also surprisingly strong and have a huge variety of moves. I’d argue they’re as good or better than first form starters. Munchlax is in a similar vein, being pretty bulky and capable of hitting hard even without evolving.
Firstly, I'd like to mention Mantine DID get special treatment in Gen 7 with the Mantine Surf minigame…
And trust me, Crobat was definitely the center of my attention when I was trying to complete the Arkoos Pokédex…!
Had to catch the stupid guaranteed Alpha one cuz the Golbat I was trying to evolve refused to be my best friend!
Remoraid got special treatment in Gen 4 by making it a requirement to evolve Mantyke
You can also use Shadow Lugia in Pokémon Go, which is also weirdly connected to the mainline for trading. It's specially important because it was probably the inspiration for the concept of all shadow Pokémon in Pokémon Go. Shadow Lugia could be seen as an upgrade to Lugia from a DPS perspective too. They should just make it canon as the alternative form in the mainline games since it has appeared in two pretty prominent spinoffs.
I actually think an evo for Octillery could work really well. If you give it the same treatment as Dracopult where it can use Remoraids like guns it can pull out. Make it an armory of sorts, have it evolve into a squid even. So more tentacles, Remoraids stored in its body, and then it would come full circle with the whole "gun fish" motif.
Glocktopus.

I would love to see Noctowl get the Dark typing. As a kid I remember hoothoot being so exciting because it was the first pokemon you could encounter that only spawned at night, something that wasn't present in the first games. I just thought that was so neat, so I think a Dark typing would be a nice nod to that.
That’s such a good point!
A cool idea I could see is pulling a Lycanroc and having its evolution have forms with unique attributes based on time of day, though in this case typings. One is Dark/Flying, One Psychic/Flying, and maybe one Ghost/Flying. Yes two of those overlap with Oricorio which also has alternate forms but I think you can something different with Noctowl. Also I dunno I just think the concept of a "day owl" Pokemon kinda amusing in a way given its an inverse of basic animal biology.
I can't really see Noctowl as a Dark type. It looks a bit scary, sure, but it doesn't strike me as "malicious" or "one that doesn't fight fair."
Oh you meant that it's a nocturnal Pokemon? Yeah, no, that's not what the Dark type is about.

A teeny-tiny thing Meganium got recently, is that it's the mascot Pokémon of New Pokémon Snap and was one of those special Illumina Pokémon ...but I guess that's not much. Anyways, super fun video! I hope you make more of these for future generations! :)
I think he means in the main line generation games
It's not even the mascot (that would be Xerneas), it's just kinda like a midboss.
@@RGC_animation Being a box legendary doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the mascot. In advertising, and even on the box itself, Meganium is treated as the main showcase for the Illumina phenomenon, treating all the others, Xerneas included, as spoilers. So yeah, mascot.

Came down looking for this comment. I agree. True, it's not a new variant or mega, but it's still something. And yes, Snap wasn't made by Game Freak, so technically they did forget, but someone remembered. I think it deserves at least an honorable mention.

I know the let's go games have past, but a Jotho DLC would be awesome!
I mean they could make a new game, but with a DLC you could do the same tipe of reset like Ash has in at the start of the DLC. Where you ceep Pikachu/Eevee and but their level gets reset.
And if you would like you could transfer your old Pokémon from Kanto to Jotho. And depending when in the game you transfer it, it changes it's level accordingly.
I know nobody wants to read this but there's more...
Wobbuffet could be an extra Pokémon for team rocket in the DLC, becouse now he is known as one of their Pokémon. So I think that could work.

A KISS( a 1970's Hard Rock band.... RUclips search for them and see them in action) inspired Furret would work if it's either a CATMAN or THE FOX design. Just give Furret the drummer CATMAN design....Furret already has the whisker design on it already.😂
10:28 Boy were they wrong!
(Legends Z-A)
To be fair, even without an upgrade, Crobat is still a very solid ‘mon on its own. Defense typing, well rounded stats, high speed, and decent move coverage. Add in the fact that you can get it stupidly early in gens ii-iv due to it being a friendship evolution, and zubats generally being early encounters.
Also, I need a Legends: Celebi, and for my boy Feralgatr to get some love.
Fera needs a dark typing to compliment the Sheer Force ability.
It's also great in gen6
If it's legends celebi Feraligatr would just be a wild encounter, like the sinnoh starters in arceus
@@universalbonkstudios2532 Legends Jirachi, then?
20:17 Unless I’ve missed something, this is incorrect. Lugia is Gen 2 and it’s Shadow form is from XD in Gen 3.
That being said, these videos are phenomenal! I particularly like the idea of a Fire/Steel Magcargo to remove it from the colossal shadow of… well, Coalossal.
Yes, XD is gen 3. but you can't use it on command unlike Megas and Gigamaxes
@@SKsuprakirby True, but I was just pointing out that he said Lugia and Shadow Lugia are from the same generation.
I have no idea how I made that error lol
@@MandJTV lol
@@MandJTV Lol it’s all good. Is your video still top notch? Hail yeah!
It's funny that in 19:10 he mentions that Jynx evolution line it's a weird one and proceed to unintentionally give and example of why it need an evolution with the next to pokemon
I know that gen 7 is in the past, but imagine an Unown Z-move that acts like no retreat and an actually good psychic attack
But it can only be used on Unown-Z
Z? Get it?
Honestly Xatu is another one that would work really well as evolving into a ghost type. It already spends its time gazing into the past and future, you could give it like a "While trying to solve the mysteries of the past and future, this pokemon neglected its wellbeing in the present. Now that it's evolved, it's practically become one with the flow of time. Do wrong by it, and you might find yourself fading out of existence as it prevents your parents from ever meeting in the past."
God...
Now that would be neat.

I'd love an evolution for Sudowoodo that has decorated itself with leaves and vines and is now a Rock/Grass type since it has incorporated enough plants to actually count as a plant. Kinda like how Bulbasaur and Paras have things growing from them and therefore gain the Grass typing.
The lore behind the creation of lugia is enough for me. I absolutely love lugia and once I found out the story behind it I'll never complain about lugia never getting extra attention
I really want to see "every Hoenn Pokémon GameFreak forgot".
Tropius and Castform are waiting :)
I wanted to see "Every Pokemon that can't be obtained on the Switch" discussing every Gen 5-7 Pokemon that are not in any Switch games as of making that video
Idea for a Unown upgrade: A new ability called Power of the Unown. Gives Unown a 1 stage boost to all its stats equal to the number of Unown in the party (I.e. +1 to all if there’s 1 Unown and +6 if the whole team is Unown).
that would actually be nice. It would go down a stage per Unown defeated. So it won't be as broken as Houndstone with Last respects haha
What about something similar to Wishi Washi.
Maybe give unknown a proper move then just hidden power bam it’s already better
Idea: A new Pokémon called "Unomenon", who acts as sort of an overlord for the Unown. Sort of like Carbink/Diancie.
@@bluebaron6811 1. It will never happen since the unknown are as powerful as arceus. Assuming they are his hands that arceus’s pokedex says. 2. There is no overload for diancie/carbink and they are not releated at all that we know of. 3. Unknown only knows hidden power and they need actual moves not base stats etc.
13:00 I've actually thought about an evolution (kind of) for Unown. It would be based on having multiple Unown combine to become a word or a full on sentence. This would make sense with how they are often seen swirling around in rings together. This would just be that essentially with the Unown being attached to each other to create a full ring which could spell out a word or sentence. I know it would be a pain to figure that out code-wise and keeping it kid friendly, but I see the potential. Plus, they could get cool punny names like Onword and Sentrance or Sentaur. I love a good pun!
Verbundance?
Fun fact Shadow Lugia is designed by James Turner also when purifying in XD it gets Psycho Boost which is Deoxys signature move
I'd say that Sudowoodo has had some special treatment from how it was highlighted in the Scarlet and Violet trailers as Brassius' ace, and a showcase for Terrastalizing
It terrastalised yes but that’s not unique to it
He’s considering special treatment as something that changes in later gens
Now we need an evolution called "Couldowoodo."
You know "Shoulda woulda, coulda woulda"
I think Skarmory didn't get a new evolution is because it would make Skarmory hold the eviolite, which boost the defense and special defense by 50% but only works if the pokémon can still evolve. Add the fact that it's only weak to fire and electric and its high physical defense and you get a Toxapex 2.0.
Eviolite Skarmory vs Skarmory evolution would basically be Chansey vs Blissey 2.0 if all they did was just make the Skarm evolution have better defenses or w/e. I think they should go a route that sets the evolution apart to give a reason to use one over the other. Think Porygon2 vs Porygon-Z. Maybe give it a lot more offensive pressure, change the type even. I remember one time I saw someone make a Fakemon evolution of Skarmory that was, of all types, Steel/Dragon.
That can be a Rhydon vs Rhyperior 2.0 because you can give Skarmory eviolite and make it insanity bulk, but he has to hold the eviolite while it's Evo can hold other items
And it already was a top tier competitive mon in every generation before Corviknight outclassed it.
5:55 yes mikey but poision/flying is best defensive type and it gets stab cross poision roost and acrobatics so its good and receiving a mega in s/v dlc would be very cool
I've always theorized that gholdengo was supposed to be sudowoodos evolution but corporate said nah we like gholdengo but not sudowoodoo we'll make it a game mechanic
For what its worth, Forretress got a visual upgrade in Scarlet and Violet. It looks metallic with its shiny looking awesome as heck.
At least forretress is in the game. There’s a few gen 2 mons that aren’t.
Yeah, and then it makes me pull my hair out, after it explodes because the only Pokemon I own with damp, is a Swampert trapped in gen 8.
It also got access to body press.
You can continue the series "___ type: then versus now"(or something like this i don't remember). I think fire type can be pretty interesting, because it's type chart changed twice(with steel type addition and fairy type addition) and things like Charizard and his attention (megas, gigantamaxes etc.) And fire/fighting starters trend could be worth mentioning.
Plus those Pokémon are so hospitable, warm hearted, and beautiful too!
Please make more of these, they are so fun!
16:58 we already have GMAX Blastoise as a naval supercraft turtle/tortoise. Having an aircraft carrier turtle would be a bit redundant and likely get overshadowed by GMAX Blastoise if it happened too soon
Wouldn’t Avalugg count as a sort of aircraft carrier turtle, though?
@@michaelnelson1127I guess the thing can swim and has a giant landing pad
I really want regional forms to be available in other regions, like Paldean forms maybe being available in Kalos since they’re based on places so close to each other in real life.
They're regional though.
@@TheJayWay101 Yeah but you gotta figure things like American robins being found in Canada and Mexico, right?
The two Pokémon with Paldean forms already live in Kalos, so that's a bust.
@@pkmntrainermark8881 what do you mean?
Kanto is based on a region of jspan which is a continent away from the spanish peninsula which åaldea is based on
I know smeargle doesn’t really need anything but a concept I’ve thought of is if it had a regional form where instead of it being a painter, it was more digital art based; so it’s tail could be a tablet pen, it could have several colors to represent the color wheel, maybe a paw pattern that resembles an art glove, etc!
I always thought it would be cool if it was like meowth and got multiple regional forms that each represents diffrent art forms
Paradox Smeargle? :o
That's a great idea. Clever indeed 👍🏾
That would be the most unneeded pokemon ever
The editing is on point in this video ❤
a cool idea for a shuckle regional form is changing the insane defense to speed or attack while keeping the other stats bad, like if it had a regional form for attack it could remove the shell and get strong hands or something like that, if it got a regional form that focuses on speed it could have some sort of electronic mechinism to make it move fast like wheels or a jet engine.
I think if it got something similar to aegislash where it swapped its stats it would increase its usefulness
Im not really in favor to give Unown a new form myself, but it came to mind that they could make an "exodia" form. So if you have them all they could fuse together making a really strong, big pokemon with all letters. It would still just know hidden power though, but would have an intense increase in stats. Would also give you some kinda trophy to collect them all.
Call it "Rosetta" named after the Rosetta Stone!
I always thought Unown should have gotten its own exclusive Z-Move based off of Hidden Power that deals super-effective damage to all types regardless of combinations and abilities.
@@cameronnaylor4046 better name is Spellseta
Fun fact: The word for owl in Bahasa Indonesia is "burung hantu" which literally translates to "ghost bird". Mikey's suggestion about Noctowl getting Ghost typing actually makes sense
Decidueye is Ghost type.
This was the video that made me subscribe! Your humor is just 👌😂
Mikeys research and ideas for videos are second to none. ❤
So fun thing, I actually got challenged to design more unowns by a friend and decided to make them another gimmick for my specific region.
My region has a very deep and mostly unexplored cave system that houses some strange stones that have allowed the unown to, over time, gain new typings and abilities. They are based off of the statues effects, and they can only learn moves that cause/can cause said effect. Touching them also has a very likely chance of causing the effect they embody.
I once thought of a goofy idea of more punctuation sign Unown with them having different ability. Unown full stop has Shadow Tag because we write a full stop so that the letters don't scape.
That's interesting.
I know you mentioned the fairy typing, but I think granbull should get more. It’s stats are… fine but they could be better and I personally like granbull and would like more love for it.
Add fighting type to it and boost its stats. Too many new Pokémon getting power boosts while the og Pokémon doesn’t get any love.
What they could do with unknown is to finally use them as we see them in the lore: as a way to "bend reality" by collecting and arranging them to cause something impressive to happen.
*IT'S UNOWN, NOT F*CKING UNKNOWN! FIX IT NOW!*
5:32 Bro turned into grunty boi lol love your videos Mikey.
So excited to see this series continue, glad you waited for SV too!
For Ledian I think if it evolved it’s stats should be something like this:
Ability: Huge Power
HP: 85
Attack: 64
Defense: 75
Special Attack: 56
Special Defense: 115
Speed: 105
Equaling a total base stat total of 500.
WE DON'T USE THE WORD ITS AS A PRONOUN IF THERE'S AN APOSTROPHE IN IT!
i think a really weird thing for unknown that could make it better is an ability that allows it to become stronger when paired with another unknown. maybe when two unknowns are on the field on the same side, both get a x2 stat boost. They will still only know hidden power, but with a bst on par with legendaries, it might hit a little bit harder. if its too broken they can reduce the buff to 1.5, but that reduces the gimmmick a little.
*IT'S UNOWN, NOT UNKNOWN! FIX IT NOW!*
As someone who *loves* the designs for most of the Johto mons but wishes they were more useable, it's been really cool seeing them get more love over the years. Definitely agree with you on most points here. Gen 2 has my favorite starter trio designs overall, and I really hope to see the other two get new forms. Especially one that makes the chikorita line better. That line has really appealing designs that I love dearly, but it's ultimately mediocre compared to other grass starters. Pair it up with something like steel or ground, and its more bulky nature would really shine.
