- Welcome to a special episode of Dinner Party Tonight, shot in the beautiful East Quogue, New York!! Take a tour around the vegetable garden and get ready to create an amazing summer supper that can brighten even the rainiest days! Kick things off with le grande aioli, a spectacular appetizer platter filled with perfectly cooked lobster, shrimp, hard-boiled eggs, pickled vegetables, and radish crudité fresh from the garden. When I was 12 my wisdom tooth buds were surgically removed during summer vacation. My cheeks were hugely swollen and I could barely move my jaw for weeks. It was pretty much jello, milk and scrambled eggs for at least 3 weeks. Then one night my mom made pot roast and mashed potatoes. I was near tears saying it smelled so good and I couldn't eat any. Then Mom took a small salad bowl, plopped in a mound of mashed with a little butter, shredded some pot roast and poured a little gravy over it all.
I ate THREE BOWLS and have never been happier at the dinner table. And a tender pot roast is my ultimate comfort food. I hope you will consider it for a glorious mid-winter meal with a hearty veggie and a spectacular desert.
I want a friend like her, she will cook for you and she will make you laugh

I made the Pavlova tonight and it was A HUGE HIT!!! We all LOVED IT!!!!! It was so decadent, elegant, light, rich, delicate and delightful. I did the cherries too and used almond extract in the whipped cream and so delish!! Yummmm. It was the dessert to an amazing Coq A Vin. Thank you for getting me excited about cooking again. Your show is entertaining with FABUlous dishes and done in an unpretentious and yet confident way. Everything I’ve made thus far has turned out beautifully.

Hi Leonard! Randy, so much to say here...simply superb meal. I will be making a similar Le Grand aioli; such a nice departure from charcuterie or antipasto. Thanks for the idea. The first time I enjoyed pavlova was at a friend’s home in London. She was in culinary school at the time and I was a bit intimidated to attempt it myself but have successfully mastered making it. Thanks for bringing back that lovely memory. And the Josh Cellars wine...I just bought a couple of bottles last week. What are your thoughts on their wines? I recently had a "Le Grand Aioli" party here at my new apartment in Huntington Beach, CA. I would like to share a picture with you, but I am not sure how to do that. My Grand Aioli was really Grand. I was a little surprise you didn't make Aioli. I have watched lots of people making Aioli before I went and made my own.Sorry I just couldn't figure out how to get my picture from my Android phone into my Mac computer. Bummer!

I’ve watched so many videos on pavlova and they all say use room temperature egg whites but you say the opposite. I don’t know who is right? I’ve made pavlova 2 times already with room temperature eggs whites and it came out perfect but now I wonder if I should try with cold eggs?
