I interpret it as being about depression/suicide with him being a soldier meaning she thought their relationship would be the thing to save her but that wasn't enough and him having to let her go because there was nothing else he could do. I came 2nd in TOADM's Facebook t-shirt design competition, but after 2 months I didn't get the prize, so I sent them an e-mail and they said could I make it to the next show. I was going to that one anyway. During the show I managed to get a guitar pick with their name on it. My analysis is that he fell in love with a drug addict. He thought he could save her. She thought he could save her. He couldnt. She was beyond saving. She died. He had to come to terms with her death and that it wasn't his fault........But I can also see supernatural in it. Destiel forever!!
