@@jimmyobrien7693 Originally they were supposed to have Dolores herself on set! She loved their take on this song, and the plan was that she'd be performing together with Bad Wolves in this video, but could not, due to her untimely death. So what we're hearing here is only part of what was imagined. Also, donating the proceeds to her children is a big thing to a band which is just setting off. As with any business, money is tight at that time.
As an avid lover of the original this song is just as powerful to me. It’s like Bad Wolves’ version of this song is talking TO Delores, letting her know that the world is still the same today as it was when she sung this song for the first time, and that they’re angry about it on her behalf. Every single note and vocal of this song was made with passion, love, and a resounding respect for Delores and her career. Listening to both versions of this song and the message they share is truly something special and I recommend everyone at LEAST give it a listen.

I'm from Warrington. Zombie was originally written as a response to the IRA bombing on Bridge Street. To this day there is a memorial to the two sweet boys who died that day. All true Warringtonians feel a strong connection to this song. You have done us all proud, so thank you.
yet pretty much everyone chooses the og song over this one I literally thought I was losing my mind when I could not find this song anywhere, the og song just started taking over and at the time i did not know that was the og song and was like "wtf is this shitty cover? wheres the good one?" years later i finally find this vid and realize it was the cover all along XD, still thou this is the superior version.
They found out she was dead and recorded mere hours later and said, "we are gonna keep our composure and rock this fucking track." And they delivered and gave all the money to her family. This alone makes them legendary. You can hear the pain in his voice
Hands down, the best tribute anyone could ever do for her. As someone who grew up with listening to her music, I want to say thank you. I know musicians don’t always get credit where it’s due, but you guys nailed this and it shows your love for the art and your tribute to a great artist.
have a think about it, she died on the way to do the recording with them, so anything less than would've just smeared their image, and belittled hers they did really well
Wow! Just come across this version while working a night shift. Blew me away, as did the amazing Cranberries with the original. One of the great frustrations in life (and I've lived 71 years of it!) is that there is so much great music I'll never get to hear. Never to old to learn about new stuff. Awesome, awesome, awesome!
My mother loved the original, it was one of the first bands we agreed on liking. She passed about 2 weeks before I heard this. I still tear up when I hear it and it's been 7 years. ...you wanna talk zombies in my head... Hug your parents folks. I wish I could hug my mom.
I remember being 14, finally having my own room, free to sleep with the TV on whatever channel I wanted. Usually MTV, mid 90's still showed great music after Beavis & Butthead. I'd nod off to sleep, occasionally being woken by certain notes, certain songs. As soon as Zombie began playing, never fail every time, my mind would wake up instantly. I'd have to wake up & watch it. It fascinated me, & until just this moment, first hearing this song, I felt that fascination again. I have since listened to this version countless times in the past few days. For the first time in a long time, I'm 30 years younger, singing & beating in time with those drums, screaming to the top of my lungs. Thank you for this. I never got to know Delores, but I think she highly approves.
@@tedj1030 Maybe because that's their style of music. I think maybe you should listen to the original. She is filled with anger and outrage as she sang her song. Additionally, Delores was going to sing on this version (until her untimely passing), should be a clue that she was pleased with their version.
I am 74 and I have heard this song on video shorts when used with any military action. Much respect for stepping up and doing the right thing. There is hope for humanity yet.
Absolutely astonishing that we're still here with children caught in the crosshairs of political, and religious unrest. Depressing to think we as a species can't seem to learn, except new ways to kill each other. Few thousand years before The Troubles began, and still today a bit over a hundred years since 1916 we have children dying in Israel/Gaza.
It's sad they didn't get to record with her. It's honorable they did it anyway for her. They're also really talented and made the song their own. You did her proud.
Was Delores scheduled to tour with them like the following day with them but she passed away before the next day? I read something bout her being very excited to do another recording
Yes ill always continue listening Bad Wolves only when Tommy Vext was in the band. Nobody is perfect they had their differences but all in all God bless both said 🙏🏼
Yo. I heard this song at my sister's place years ago and had it somewhat in my head a few days ago, unable to remember the name or band until the day before yesterday when my best friend's girlfriend came across it randomly. It's so fkn good...
Updating the lyrics to include the relevant year and a reference to drone warfare... absolutely brilliant idea. Chills the whole way through. Her death affected me more than any other celebrity death. I didn't even know much about her, but was just devastated that the voice of this song was no longer with us, because the song (and performance) is so important and transcendent and pure.
This is a tribute not a cover, it has the spirit of Dolores in every note and verse, I have no idea how many times have had this on repeat but it resonates like the original. RIP Dolores, you will live on in our memories and hearts the true Queen of Rock.
dood poop That has to be one of the most absurd conspiracies I've probably ever heard. If she was killed because she's was anti government then why didn't she get whacked when she originally released this song over 20 years ago? The band members being US government operatives? I had the opportunity to meet and hang out with a couple of them when they were still with previous bands. Very down to earth dudes. Definitely not gov't agents. If I were you I would check out the condition of your tinfoil hat. Sounds like it has a few holes in it.
dood poop Umm...yeah sure. I think you still have some holes in your tinfoil hat. Feel free to call me a zombie, sheeple or whatever you want to if it makes you feel better about yourself. I'm more capable of thinking and paying attention to what's going in the world with a open mind myself without somebody from tinfoil hat society of the internet trying to distort my views for the sake of pushing their hate/fear mongering views and agendas onto everyone else . It's amazing how you folks still expect others to take your delusions seriously.
dood poop and anyway, Dolores went on record saying that the song is about Irelands struggle for independence. It has nothing to do with our government
From what i understand, she was. She heard it before she died when they asked permission to do the cover and she thought it was so good she wanted to participate in it herself and sing on the track along side tommy but she died before they could bring that to fruition which is why they donated all the proceeds to her children.
The decision to release the song in her honour, the quality of the song, dude even the way he looks like he doesn't want her to leave from the glass at 4:09, every little thing about this is incredible.
The metal scene continues to be the most wholesome, positive music scene on the planet. I'm so glad I could help her children, at least in this small part.
I agree 100% I love all music but today’s music, I can’t get into it, at least the new hip-hop. Metal, hard rock and alternative, today, they’re all killing it. It is indeed the most positive & wholesome genre and always has been!
As well as the general audience of metal and rock. We’re seen as some hardcore guys for our music tastes but god damn, if shit goes down it’s almost always handled with extreme care, and there’s not as much beef going on between people.
I'm not crying.....you are! Actually.....yeah, I am too. Cranberries were one of my fav bands. What an amazing version of this song....so touching and well done.
@@TriggerVR657 did we ask what? The children? I mean their mother had a net worth of 25 million so assuming any real portion of that was for her kids, I feel that the money from this song would have been better spent donated to a charity.
blackfalcon1324 but we didn’t exactly have a choice did we? Shut the hell up and accept that they didn’t keep the fucking money, they gave it to her children, who were without a mother, what the hell you want from them? @@Donklebergg and based on her untimely passing and that she was supposed to be there recording with them on that same day, i can only imagine how difficult it was for them to make the decision to go through with this recording and without a doubt, this had to have been the most difficult song they've ever performed! the sadness from such a great and untimely loss is present and their rendition of the song is an awesome tribute to her. even though Dolores wasn't there with them, she was there..... in their hearts.
The fact that they changed the song for the year adds more emotion to the song, using the original people covered in gold was perfect as well. Rip Delores
I dunno, it gives me a Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow "We're so 2008, you're so 2000 and late" vibes. Like it's instantly dated and jarring to hear. The BEP in their case now perform the line as "We're so 3008" to much hilarity... idk how these guys will salvage the line in their own shows
@@_ekyaJ It robs the song of its original context. The original line "since 1916" refers to the Easter Rising/Rebellion of 1916, from which footage is shown in the Cranberries' music video, and how the violence in Ireland has continued up until the writing of the song in 1993 in response to the Warrington bombings. The original wasn't written in 1916 -- it had a specific reason to call back to that date and say "it's been the same ever since." So changing the lyrics to say "in 2018" subverts the purpose of the line as soon as the year changes. Exact same problem the BEP ran into with their lyric choice.
It's been a long time since a song touched me like this. I was already aware of and loved the original with the Cranberries but this Tribute was so emotional and respectful and beautiful. All artists involved have so much love for the human race and it shows. Thank you for this. Thank you.
I am 61 and while I will die an old rocker, I decided to search "Rock Today" and this song was on top of the list. I was working and raising kids when the Cranberries had their day and recently found them. I rarely hear a cover done in a way that brings out the same feeling and message of the original artists; this one did it all right. I actually have a damn tear in my eye, someone smack me. No time for crying, it's time to rise up and stop the red vs. blue fighting and get back to rocking one America against corruption and greed.
amen to that mate, I myself am not very old however I have covered this song for a friends mom that passed away and they wanted me to cover. I am the bass guitarist and vocals. I have come to understand the corruption of the world through my highly political household and it is time for men and women adult and child to grab a pick and unite. we stand strong together!
To acquire the rights to a song is one thing, but to be hand selected by the original artist is another. Dolores heard the music and concluded that it was real..to the point where she herself wanted to be part of it. I don’t see how it can get any more legit.
@@therages10 i’ll have to disagree cause im a strong believer experience shapes people and they become “bad” where your train of thought suggests you think people are born evil.
@@Ben-nx7yy I dont remember to say someone people born evil or good. You can't just let bad people take everything that is yours. And don't fight for it. Or will you say to the bandits: Please don't take my things, don't kill my family, don't invade my lands. Instead, listen to this cranberries song.
The reference to the cranberries music video of Dolores covered in that golden sheen. You start to put the pieces together. As she stands behind the glass, on the other side. It is absolutely beautiful, and I love the respect they paid to the song, and how they donated everything they made to her kids. ❤
The day she passed away, Dolores actually announced she'd be singing the cover with Bad Wolves. They decided to release it without her, changed the lyrics a little and made into a tribute to her. It shows how strong her influence in the music community was. She will be missed.
When you watch the original and then this cover with tears in your eyes, you know they did a fantastic job and it is a beautiful tribute to the original artists and their message...
I just learned of this cover and it's just as effective a the original. Watching the music videos of the original and then this cover feels like having your gut punched and then your heart ripped out. "I'm moved." doesn't even begin to cover it. I'm in shambles.
Him trying to reach her "representation" trough the glass, she leaving her mark and then covering the whole glass with only the date she left this world is just...
It's not just a tribute, it's her legacy, as said in the start of the video she was set to reprise her vocals, but died a day before she was set to reprise them. She gave Bad Wolves this song, she gave them her will, and her blessing to carry on the legacy that the Cranberries started, them turning around and saying we are dedicating this song to her, is just them realizing that they weren't just 'the right ones at the right time' but handpicked by her, no other bad was good enough in her eyes.
Usually I find it hard to ”accept” changes for songs I have deep feelings for the original. Covers or new versions from the artists themselves, doesn’t matter. But this is just mesmerising! This caught my ear the very first moment I heard it in radio. This music video just adds even more depth to the song. Amazeballs!
There is only one problem with this to me and that is the changing of the date. I like this cover, they would have done it justice if it wasn't for that one fault.
@@trevortomei2793 actually its because of the fact that wars are still going on (in 2018 at least), maybe its also a nod to her death but i think the theme of the video and the starting screen are more for that
This is incredible imagery. Dolores is separated and is on the "other side", and each reaching out to each other to communicate with a similar message (the song). By the end of the video, the barrier becomes opaque, and she leaves for good, leaving behind her message - which will live on after her. Totally brilliant video - and the gold paint was used perfectly to symbolize Dolores.
And the whole time it seemed she was drawing something -saying what is in her now zombie head. -but in the end all you see is her date of passing and then just a smear, because nobody will ever know what’s in her head now..... I also get a sense of completion when she finished her wall. She was complete and full.
If u watch the original by "The Cranberries" this is a great remake b-cuz Dee was gold in that one as well. However with the new & the orig so similar it's hard 2 believe something/someone higher up was behind ALL aspects of this vid.
This isn't a song, this is an emotion. An emotion that makes you feel sad, yet happy. An emotion that makes you remember really anything good that happened in your life. This is an emotion that makes you feel like a person with the build of a god. This song is an emotion.
The emotion you feel from this song, is the subject matter itself. War and oppression, imposed by the british armed forces, who invaded and to this day, occupy the Island of Ireland.
@@MagentaFaux Unfortunately there is usually a reason to not like music for instance it causes unwanted emotions at least that happens to me it also can bring unwanted memories
Song was done so she heard it I wonder if there a version of them practicing with her or a demo prob not cuz with today’s tech I’m sure they would have used her vocals from a demo
i love this song esp when my wife is singing it she sounds just like miss joplan we have been trying to get her to audition for america's got talent but shes to shy
singer for disturbed stopped his show cause of a girl up in the balcony texting on her phone, unbelievable, he called her right out. her grandmother was dying or something...I said huum hundreds of fans had there cell phones, yet he called this one girl out!? pretty stupid
If there ever was any chance of the song not feeling authentic, that was dashed when they got the terrible news and put their own pained hearts into it.
This makes me cry so badly, it's like this song is personal. They did this song so much justice and I'm sure she is watching from heaven singing along and rocking out in heaven.
An absolutely disgusting version of this song! Takes away all the meaning of it when you replace key lyrics, this was about problems between northern Ireland and Southern Ireland and violence that erupted over the course of 50+ years, replacing 1916 with 2018 & bombs with drones is frankly ridiculous! This version should be condemned with its horrible sound and tactless meaning!
@@mac8669 I know all too well of that war. And yes the original version will always be #1 but that song no matter how it is sang, it tell the horror of that war and if you think about it, the war that is happening even now. Alot of people are too blind and too close minded to see that this song was a way of screaming out about the senseless killings of our young and our people. So it is your opinion that this version is disgusting but to me who is mixed with Irish and more and from america. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone is entitled to disagree with your opinion, but we all should learn to agree to disagree.
Sadly most covers don't care about doing justice to the original and remembering the original artist. This is the epitome of a good honorable cover of a song. Loved the original and I can't stop listening to this cover. Thank you! This is amazing!
I don't think that a band makes a cover off a song that they dont like. Most off them takes a song they love from an artist they respect and do it whit their own twist. Making a rap in to metall or a ballad in to a rap song, it all begins whit showing respect.
thats pretty close minded tbh. there are many great rap and hiphop artists which got big talent and are lyrcially on top of the whole music industry. just because their beats get produced if they don't do it themselfes doesn't mean they are bad musicans. sining is a part of music, so is being able to rap. sure, there is trash arround, but you find trash everywhere and not just in one music genre. if you want one example...in germany there is a "rap battle" with certain rules from redbull called soundclash, in one of the challenges the artist has to take over the song from the other artist (they get the songs before the event and have to think on how they gonna do it) and reinterpret it with a different style. you don't have to understand what they sing, but look how powerful the second singer takes over (arround 1:30 if you want to skip a bit ahead and not listen to the whole thing): ruclips.net/video/Nj7StdrXwL8/видео.html sure, one of them has already ages on experience on stage, but yeah...its not black and white and many of them have talented musicans as a band which also produce their beats and stuff. ultimatly a single guy in the band doesn't do all the work himself...so why blame rap musicans for it if others produce their stuff. usually their thing is to rap means...singer of the band...and usually also the songwriter. like in any other band too.
This song was about justice, or rather peace. At the time I was young but the IRA was pretty much at war with England. There wasn't the word terrorist being thrown around but it was a scale far beyond what we see today. Vehicles exploding killing a bunch of people was an almost daily occurrence from what i remember and it was regular on the news with the weather and what airports were delaying flights due to weather. There was a day when I was a kid when I remember them talking about two kids who were killed that I remember it like it was yesterday and how it made my mother, a woman who was tough as nails cry. A year later there was this woman who was all over the radio singing this song angry as hell that was telling both sides that it needed to end. She ended a war and made two sides who both had blood on their hands and were too stubborn to admit it bring it to an end. She saved lives and she's a hero. RIP my dear, you changed the world.
The English need to learn they can't just take whatever they want, like so many of their colonies now reject their will, America, Canada, the list goes on...Dolores O'Riordan was a Canadian National Treasure, and her loss is felt with every step that takes us down this dark path...
Love how they portrayed Dolores hand painting through the sheet of glass, as if to symbolize she has moved onto the other side yet her art and spirit still lives on.
I'm 100% positive Dolores approves of this tribute video and the inclusion of the golden girl as a nod to the original video!! What a shame we'll never hear the collaboration of Bad Wolves and Dolores O'Riordan. It would have been AWESOME!!!!
Debra Wilson I’m glad we have a necromantic Oracle among us. Deloris was supposed to be featured in this but she passed prior. So the band with their contracts and pocket books did it anyway. It was NEVER a tribute.
I remember when I first found this there was an intro by the band explaining how Deloris passed suddenly without explanation and how it was supposed to be a collaboration.
There are very few songs that are redone that I like. This one easily ranks in my top 5. Such a beautiful tribute to a woman with a unique and recognizable voice. I loved The Cranberries. "Zombie" was my favorite song by them.
I cried. Dolores's voice has that enchanting quality to let me know it's ok to cry. I'm 62 years old now and I still grieve with the pure unadulterated rage of the 8 year old boy, child, that I once was over the murder of my father (From from Roscrea, Co Tipp) in London (1968) and that 54 years later I have no peace only a dark hatred were my soul should be. I never cry. Until almost 4 years ago when I heard this song by the Cranberries and Dolores's voice. I'm sorry for going on. Didn't think I would write this much! I am a huge fan of Bad Wolves and they really do pound the emotion into their tribute. I'll leave at that.
@@alisonwood4541 Oh my! Thank you so much Alison. Your message has really touched me. I'm a bit emotional, overcome is a better way of putting it, with the fact you reached out to a stranger and asked me if I'm ok, plus the love, gratefully and graciously accepted. Again, I thank you. I was having a tough old day to be up front with you Alison, and now, just before I hit the old hay, I'm feeling ok, thanks to you. I hope you're ok too and your love is reciprocated ❤️💕❤️💕💕
Another one of those moments where a cover makes you stop whatever you're doing and just listen. Just like Disturbeds cover of the Sound of Silence. Great job guys.
For those who didn't know, this song was written as a protest song to the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, England. I think this song is a message to all people about human violent tendencies. We all say we want peace, that we are peaceful, and yet since then to now, peace isn't reflected in our world.
I've learned the hard way that people are just mean and they like to hurt you and feel no remorse, while you go through out life being taken down bit by bit from other despicable people until they've crushed your soul and created a tsunami of madness inside your head. Everyone else thinks you're crazy, which is uncomprehendable because I'm the one who was abused. So now after twenty years of being broken by these assholes, now I have to try to understand and heal from PTSD. I don't think I ever can because you get through some shit and ten more come. Our world we live in is a very cruel and hurtful place 😖
This is possibly the most powerful music video ive ever seen. What a tribute to Dolores ... I get goosebumps every single time i watch this - Especially the beginning part where she gets up from the floor and walks to the window and they touch hands. Wow.
It's not only about the tribute, these boys raised money and gave it to her children when she past. Not only have they make the best tribute but they were looking out for her family. She'd be very proud
dood poop bro she was baldy sick and if you understood what she was singing about in the song then you would understand why they said "it's the same old theme in 2018" back then in 1916 politics and the world was horrible and the politics were horrible and he's saying the world hasn't changed since then
Linkin park has a quote in one of their songs, "When the rich wage war it's the poor who die". Honestly one of my favorite quotes and it rings true so often

If I were you I would check out the condition of your tinfoil hat. Sounds like it has a few holes in it.

It's amazing how you folks still expect others to take your delusions seriously.
dood poop the lyric is not same old team, the official lyric is "It's the same old thing since 1916"
dood poop and anyway, Dolores went on record saying that the song is about Irelands struggle for independence. It has nothing to do with our government

The BEP in their case now perform the line as "We're so 3008" to much hilarity... idk how these guys will salvage the line in their own shows
Amen brother.
@UCEuU39jJ7yoLXsyS0dNfMFA I guess.

yes! amazing how she was gold and she doesn't sings masterpiece both audio both video

@@krishmalhotratalks Trevor is correct about why the change of date.
It's brilliantly portrayed....fabulous
Yup, we all watched the video.
And the whole time it seemed she was drawing something -saying what is in her now zombie head. -but in the end all you see is her date of passing and then just a smear, because nobody will ever know what’s in her head now..... I also get a sense of completion when she finished her wall. She was complete and full.
She even writes the date of her death in the paint.
If u watch the original by "The Cranberries" this is a great remake b-cuz Dee was gold in that one as well. However with the new & the orig so similar it's hard 2 believe something/someone higher up was behind ALL aspects of this vid.

My thoughts exactly its a great cover and an amazing tribute.
I don't think that a band makes a cover off a song that they dont like.
Most off them takes a song they love from an artist they respect and do it whit their own twist. Making a rap in to metall or a ballad in to a rap song, it all begins whit showing respect.
thats pretty close minded tbh. there are many great rap and hiphop artists which got big talent and are lyrcially on top of the whole music industry. just because their beats get produced if they don't do it themselfes doesn't mean they are bad musicans. sining is a part of music, so is being able to rap.
sure, there is trash arround, but you find trash everywhere and not just in one music genre.
if you want one example...in germany there is a "rap battle" with certain rules from redbull called soundclash, in one of the challenges the artist has to take over the song from the other artist (they get the songs before the event and have to think on how they gonna do it) and reinterpret it with a different style. you don't have to understand what they sing, but look how powerful the second singer takes over (arround 1:30 if you want to skip a bit ahead and not listen to the whole thing): ruclips.net/video/Nj7StdrXwL8/видео.html
sure, one of them has already ages on experience on stage, but yeah...its not black and white and many of them have talented musicans as a band which also produce their beats and stuff. ultimatly a single guy in the band doesn't do all the work himself...so why blame rap musicans for it if others produce their stuff. usually their thing is to rap means...singer of the band...and usually also the songwriter. like in any other band too.
Another you that’s beautiful
Beautifully said
That’s amazing
Beautiful tribute! Wow!
R.I.P Dolores... This cover is the best way to honour her and her music!
I agree, it’s really incredible.
They even kept the golden woman. What a honor! I will never forget this cover✌️
Yes
Dude, yes. Same thought.
To all the haters: STFU
I'm 100% positive Dolores approves of this tribute video and the inclusion of the golden girl as a nod to the original video!!
What a shame we'll never hear the collaboration of Bad Wolves and Dolores O'Riordan. It would have been AWESOME!!!!
Debra Wilson here’s an idea of what it could have sounded like if it did happen, and if she was still alive. ruclips.net/video/ypMa7WHB3rQ/видео.html
I absolutely agree..
Wtf
This song still gives me goosebumps and tears in my eyes to this day! Thank you Bad Wolfes for this tribute

You have to ask GOD for peace. That's what I'm working on because it will keep you from truly living.

Knocked out but you never gave up 🔥 That's very few are capable of. You are among the Elites of the Elites my friend 🐐
Another one of those moments where a cover makes you stop whatever you're doing and just listen. Just like Disturbeds cover of the Sound of Silence. Great job guys.
Celox Letum great, now I have to go listen to that 😄

Both song you in those feels honie
Exactly!!!
For those who didn't know, this song was written as a protest song to the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, England. I think this song is a message to all people about human violent tendencies. We all say we want peace, that we are peaceful, and yet since then to now, peace isn't reflected in our world.
you're damn right bro.. when will we can live in a house with all races or religion without any bad perception.. hope the day will come

@@ahmadfakiruldin5358 :-/ impossible but all good. We can try to at least be better
Tendencies... Is it tendencies??? Idk lol
Every war can be described with these words. A masterpiece
Great cover, great original song. A great vocalist left the world, but a great band is keeping the memory of her for all of us. Thanks guys..

This is giving me goosebumps after the 10th rewatch. Kudos
One of the greatest Covers I can remember. Powerful and meaningful.
Agreed
Stijn me too i cried
This is possibly the most powerful music video ive ever seen. What a tribute to Dolores ... I get goosebumps every single time i watch this - Especially the beginning part where she gets up from the floor and walks to the window and they touch hands. Wow.
Same here... I just cried it's too much to take in this song.
i think the woman is supposed to represent Dolores and the window the wall between our world and the other world.
ETERNAL MEMORY TO YOU DOLORES O " RIORDAN
@@WillBedard definitely represents Delores, the video for the original song has Delores as the gold lady
It's not only about the tribute, these boys raised money and gave it to her children when she past. Not only have they make the best tribute but they were looking out for her family. She'd be very proud
I can feel their emotion about her and her music in this song. Holy shit

Nathan McClure ?!
Nathan McClure I know. my heart hurts so bad. so many memories are brought back with The Cranberries music.
Tear jerking indeed
dood poop bro she was baldy sick and if you understood what she was singing about in the song then you would understand why they said "it's the same old theme in 2018" back then in 1916 politics and the world was horrible and the politics were horrible and he's saying the world hasn't changed since then
one of saddest things is how this song is still relevant so many years later. i hope that wherever dolores is, she is resting well ❤️
Updated lyrics really spot on with drones

Children die in wars of power everyday. That's the point. That's the problem. Beautiful song. Beautiful cover. Let us never forget the message.
Linkin park has a quote in one of their songs, "When the rich wage war it's the poor who die". Honestly one of my favorite quotes and it rings true so often
