What’s ironic is that The Cranberries band made a harsh claim that they hate Bad Wolves version of this song with a fire burning passion hotter than hellfire. But nevertheless I love this version of the song
@@inkaautio1731 It's about the troubles in Northern Ireland and about the attitude of Ireland towards England and vice versa. Hence the reference to 1916 (the Irish uprising in Dublin).

There's always that one song you can't make through without crying... for me it's this. So much emotion behind it, and it means a lot to me on a personal level too.
LOVE this! Heart broken that Dolores O'Riordan passed before being able to add her vision to this as that is why she was in London when she was found. I read that proceeds from sales of this version will go to support her three children who are 20, 16 and 12. She often spoke in interviews of how she never realized what love was until she became a Mother. She struggled so much in her life. Thanks to Bad Wolves for remembering her this way. My heart goes out to all her loved ones but especially her children.
This is an amazing cover, it's been added to my list of greatest covers of all time. So powerful, it's crazy to see how much emotion this guy is able to put into this song. They way they changed up a few of the lyrics to make it more modern "It's the same old thing in 2018, in your head in your head theyre still fighting" --and then "With their Tanks and their bombs and their guns and their drones.." I'd like to think Dolores would be incredibly proud of this amazing cover. May she forever Rest In Peace, what a legend she was and is.

Miss Strange what meaning. What exactly is he saying about what issue? The original is very clearly about The Troubles and how both sides pretend they're fighting for the very people dying in crossfire. This version is about nothing.
What is the message? They have changed the lyrics and that changes the message. In the original an Irish person says an Irish civil war where both sides claim to be fighting for the Irish people does not represent her or the people she knows. It questions why both sides say they are fighting for her when she's caught in the crossfire of both sides. It says "since 1916" because the war had been going on longer than the lives of anyone involved in it has been alive and makes the conflict seem endless. This one says "in 2018" which just says kinda vaguely that there is some sort of vague conflict in some vague location. The message is lost entirely when you remove any specifics. Do you think the Purge movies have some great message too? No, they don't and neither does this trash. It's no longer a protest song, now it's just a song hoping to honor a band they liked.
Douglas Paulson So the original song is directed more towards a specific conflict while this one isn't directed towards any conflict specifically. It's talking about war on larger scale. Being vague on what conflict they are talking about is the whole point in my opinion. I bet a lot of people during the Crimean war or the Syrian civil war feel/ felt the same way she did. Also I haven't seen the purge movies so I can't say anything about that.
Very doubtful the profits go to her kids.. sounds like a ploy to get people to buy it up and they squander the money.. besides, the family is already rich!
Haley Stewart i didnt really like it, i mean...just dont change such a great songs lyrics, but Delores said she loved it..so may she rest in the afterlife rocking out!
I like it due to the events in current times, you're right, don't fix things that aren't broken but I think this is a beautiful exception. I'm sure she is.
I love it too. It doesn’t hold a candle to the original. But it’s still great. Even the music video is wonderfully done. Imagine if they had gotten the chance to record with her. It’d be even more amazing. The day of....its so heartbreaking.

This is only as amazing as it is because you can feel the emotion he's having while he sings it, this is personal to him and he's going all in because can feel and resonate with every word. I do not know who sings this, but you can feel it. He deals with this, he almost sounds like he's about to break down and that's exactly the kind of emotion a song like this needs. Thank you.
FastZebra Zoom I like the modern spin they added to it, changes it up a little bit. Like when he says "it's the same old thing in 2018, in your head in your head they're STILL fighting". Then breaks off into the part you had typed above, it's amazing how this song still has so much impact and truth even to this day. Such a powerful song, may Dolores rest in peace

She was actually set to record vocals with them on this song the day that she passed away. I heard Bad Wolves discussing it on Sirius XM Octane earlier today.
How extremely sad that we never got to hear the version of this with Dolores signing. I can see why she was taken back with this version, it's incredible and gives the song a different dynamic. Heartbroken 💔
...and yet I think they did a great job of making it feel the same with all of the differences to the original. I with you, I wish we could have heard what lovely Dolores wanted to do on it.
Dolores’s children, family, fans and the world will benefit with her memory living on in such great tribute song and many more to come as her legacy lives on through the ages as new generations discover her talent through time. RIP Dolores - Irish Pride.
This, without a doubt, is 100,000 times better than the original. Much more Emotion. Dramatic suspense. Distraught was captured. The point of this piece of art was much more grasped than what was originally intended. As someone that served, you all, want to post your opinion stating your case, you cannot. You haven’t been there. You haven’t seen the only people you’ve been affiliated with become corrupted from all of the bad in the world you can’t see other than a post noting a death of an American soldier. You see nothing. You see, at least; The bare minimum.. you see on social media. Fox, ABC, Facebook, yahoo alerts. You all know nothing.. Most will never be able to grasp what goes on. They know of it. Not what it is. Bad Wolves, made this relevant again with their efforts. Much love.
💖They do such an awesome job!! Not sure which one I like better! The Cranberries lead singer had a beautiful voice, and the music is great but both could also be said about Bad Wolves💕 I love it!!💋
Josh Metheney In the original they said "Since 1916" and in this cover they say "In 2018" making it a limited timeframe, while the original was ongoing.
TheBlackKnight1o1 I guess I heard 1908. But should also note that the original lyric was specific to Ireland, the NRA, and British military, which limits it even further.
When the singer mentioned 2018, only then I realized the power of this cover. Even though it’s just a cover, its message of war and devastation continues to be true no matter the attempts to end it.
JAIR MAURICIO PEREZ ARBOLEDA Zombie was never intended to be "Dark" it is quite simply the Truth!! War, and sensless killing is part of the "Human" condition, nothing more; nothing less!

In your head, in your head, they're dyin'
What's in your head, in your head?
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie
What's in your head, in your head?
Zombie, zombie, zombie-ie-ie,

Jokes on you i already know the lyrics
Covers usually annoy me...but not this one. I can imagine why she loved it so much❤
Damn just found these guys GOD HIS VOICE IS AMAZING
Just discovered them today don't feel bad.
discovered today as well
Rest in peace, Dolores
Joel Lee wait who died
Lance Trombly
U seriously do not know 'til now?
:0
The original singer of "Zombie", Dolores O'Riordan passed away
Joel Lee nope I didn’t know that she passed away
Lance Trombly
Yea..
Such a tragedy, too many good / talented people passing away
But..
#SuchIsLife
@Joel Lee I didn't know she passed shit.... do you know when?
Did I just hear "..and their drones" instead of "guns" @0:54 ? Nice touch.
yeah, they wanted to make it more about todays issues since its still very much relevant to 1916
"guns" is still there it's "drums" that was replaced by drones.
They changed the wording slightly as well.
Original -- It's the same old thing since 1916
Cover -- It's the same old theme in 2018
Dawid you did. I have never been in the military. This song is an absolute perfect portary of what is going on in our world.
I've always loved this song when done by the cranberries. But hearing this cover by the bad wolves, gave me chills all over again. Very nicely done!
Stream / Buy 'Zombie' - smarturl.it/zombie_badwolves
Dolores herself once said she liked this version, but hey.. your the undiscoverd king of good taste? right?
Eleven Seven Music we like it
RIP lovely angel Dolores O' Riordan, you're gone too soon... 😢😢😢😢😢
Should have never played a song from rhe.cranberries. your sound sucks.trying to get famous from a real band.
Hey. How about donating the money to suicide or addiction prevention instead of leaving it to kids who are getting a 25 million dollar fortune.
Fucking oppertunists. Do something that's actually meaningful instead of cashing in on someone's death.
It's the same old theme, in 2018, in your head. Amazing
Anxious Collective that's what I thought when I heard it on Sirius XM the other day.
I had to replay that part a couple times to make sure I heard it right
Anxious Collective 1916 - cranberries
Anxious Collective I am the Bad Wolves Zombie. 2018!
I’ve listened to it a few times and that part is fucking awesome
Chills. I cried. I love it so much.
I saw this live yesterday and was blown away. Amazing cover, you could tell the audience was deeply moved by it. Well done :')
Beautiful. I can see why Dolores loved it. It's a beautiful tribute to her now ❤
RIP Dolores. Lovely version.
DanDanMusicManUK are you FUCKING STUPID???? I can't believe Dolores actually agreed to work with these jokes. AND I can't believe she would of actually liked this version. This is a disgrace. This atrocious. In my head (and on the outside) I'm crying myself over how ruined this is. Bad wolves should of NEVER went through with this.
DanDanMusicManUK this is as far from lovely as you can get
Shouldn't you be listening to country music?
countrygirl countrymusiclover alright "country girl" whatever you say 😂😂
Oh yeah, I forgot how mature shitting on people's ideas was, I'll try that one next time! I'm sure you're one of those 16 and preggo kinda people too lmao
AWSOME COVER ! 🙌
Clenjus Dsouza you are right
The only cover that conveys the pain and worry. Loved it❤
Beautiful and strong
I listen to this on repeat when it comes on in Spotify...came here to personally thank you for such an amazing cover
This song is awesome! It's a great tribute to Dolores.
Amazing cover👌🏻She would’ve loved it...
She was going to do the vocals...
It's Ash she does love it :')
Great Job, Guys.
R.I.P Dolores.
Love this. Absolutely love this. And from what I'm reading on the internet so did Dolores. So much so that she was supposed to record vocals for this before her tragic passing. Love you Dolores. RIP.
The day she died actually. Crazy and creepy.
Oh really wow. I heard she passed away while recording at the studio, so that was this song. That is creepy indeed.
A lovely cover/adaptation. I've been listening to the original over and over since hearing the news about Dolores. This was a nice surprise.
The Retaliators Movie: more showings added due to demand. Check out bit.ly/TheRetaliators to find tickets near you!
This is a wonderful cover. Just imagine how it would have been with Dolores singing with this one. I don’t think I’d be able to handle it! 🙌🏼❤️
I agree.
She was actually set to record vocals with them on this song the day that she passed away. I heard Bad Wolves discussing it on Sirius XM Octane earlier today.
Peaches
Peaches Yeah I know what you mean.
This is absolutely beautiful
All I can say is it's awesome
This is one of the best cover I think I've ever heard. Amazing job!!
Check out the new music video by Bad Wolves - 'Sacred Kiss': bit.ly/SacredKiss
Best cover I've ever heard! Cant stop listening to it! KEEP IT UP!!
Omg .Ok i cry thank. Wouaah it's wonderful
There's so much emotion in this cover and it's so amazing
I just can't stop listening this
gave me chills. RIP Delores..
Aqua Henry it's r.i.p. not rip
yes you are correct it stands for rest in peace what's your point grammar Nazi?
The Cranberries lead singer had a beautiful voice, and the music is great but both could also be said about Bad Wolves💕 I love it!!💋
she was meant to sing this one
Great cover, it's cool that they updated it to be more modern but it kinda dates it in a way.
TheBlackKnight1o1 No more than the 1908 reference in the original.
Josh Metheney In the original they said "Since 1916" and in this cover they say "In 2018" making it a limited timeframe, while the original was ongoing.
TheBlackKnight1o1 I guess I heard 1908. But should also note that the original lyric was specific to Ireland, the NRA, and British military, which limits it even further.
also says drones
It dates it, but also points out that it's been a quarter century since she sang about it, and still nothing has changed.
I never thought I'd like a Cranberries cover.... 🏆bravo 👏👏👏
Honestly the greatest cover i've ever heard.. i can't help but get emotional
In my opinion disturbed sound if silence cover is better but this is so good as well
I think you did very great on this song and dolores would be honored to hear it!! Much love from germany
Vithia She already heard it, she was scheduled to put her voice on this version the day she died.
Amazing job guys!!
Shame she never got to appear in this cover with you guys, because it's awesome!
I love this song!!! A friend introduced me to to it. I’m totally feeling these vibes!!
When the singer mentioned 2018, only then I realized the power of this cover. Even though it’s just a cover, its message of war and devastation continues to be true no matter the attempts to end it.
Nailed it...
I love this new version of classic song Zombie, is dark!!!
JAIR MAURICIO PEREZ ARBOLEDA ya
JAIR MAURICIO PEREZ ARBOLEDA Zombie was never intended to be "Dark" it is quite simply the Truth!! War, and sensless killing is part of the "Human" condition, nothing more; nothing less!
It's about the quiet mental struggle of war veterans. It is about real shit and god bless her for writing this song.
Rip Dolores 😢💔
This cover is you in a form of a perfect song ❤️
Great now i feel like crying on Valentines Day.
oh shit!
I love this one
Phantom-Rex「ɴιɢнтcore」 this is cool I like it
Are those guys new, it sounds cool.
Yes they are a new band
time to make nightcore version xD
On her last voicemail, Dolores said she liked this cover
Awesome song ever mannn. Because it's pure groove metal.
Look up the definition of groove metal
Why does everything have to be a sub genre
imeatingursnack plz because metal is such a vast genre. You can't compare this song to something that's black metal or drone metal for example. Where as most other genres tend to have a similar style
This song reminds me of the demons I fight in my mind everyday!! Overcoming is the key. Try as you might and hopefully you will win!!!!
love the inclusion of "drones", makes it all the more relevant today
Yaxley it makes it a remake and not a cover you can't just change that shit
It's still very much a cover. Modernizing a couple of lines doesn't break that.
T Alexander yes it does
Great! Drones is like a little renuing .. such a good band, great tributute!
...The 2018 part also makes it more relevant today.
Will go down as the greatest cover song of all time.
ONE of the greatest covers. Let's not forget Sound of Silence, either.
Or House of the Rising Sun by 5FDP
Oh Oh or gone away 5fdp version
Hurt Johnny Cash
@Evangelos Killer mike bait
Gentlemen, absolutely beautiful! It's a breathtaking tribute to Dolores, The Cranberries and her family! I couldn't stop listening to her version then... still, and now your rendition! RIP Dolores!
Beautiful cover
