@@margaretgerrard3726 it shrank a bit, but its not noticeable, it still fit the plate I use. And I air dry it or hang dry it most of the time. If I use the dryer, set it on low heat then air dry it. Then press it with a clothes iron. To reduce the shrinkage, you can prewash the fabric before cutting it.
@@kristibianchi4765 I use Wrap n Zap, and I also use the generic brand I got from Amazon, which doesn't have a brand name or label, so I am not sure if it is 100% cotton or 90% of it. The Wrap n Zap is thick, but it is precisely for the sewing project to use in a microwave, as it says 100% cotton for sure. If it is too thick, use one side with the batting and one without it. Another option is to sew the batting 0.25" from the edge first, then trim the batting edge so the batting would be smaller than the fabric. So when you turn the cozy right side out, it is not too thick when topstitching
@@CraftyForHomei will def try that.. If I may ask, what tension setting do you have your machine on? I have a singer 4432. Tension at 4 and its hard going over the darts when top stitching final piece. That is when my needles break so im curious if my machine is not set up correctly.. Thank you for helping me!! Im trying my best but feeling defeated

What size square do I need to cut for a 10" plate?
You can use the same 2 pcs of 13" square fabrics and 2 pcs of 13" square batting.
Since you use cotton fabric and cotton batting. When you wash and dry in dryer is there any shrinkage?
