Being new to sewing, even though I am almost ready to retire, I have found so much help from your videos. I have made microwave cozies and using the wrap n zap liner and cotton fabric are critical but so is using only cotton thread. Before I learned to sew, I bought one of these at a craft fair. She did not use cotton liner or thread because it caught on fire in my microwave! Thank you fir y I urge informative videos!

You pick the loveliest music and understand how to adjust the volume levels properly! Nice touch to let the music continue, just baaaarely audible behind your narration. (So many tut channels use that obnoxious boppy ukulele nonsense, WAY too loud, and you can hardly hear them talk sometimes; or they do that abrupt off & on between speaking, which is very jarring to listen to.) Very clear instructions also. I don't use a microwave, but I NEEEED some of these since I eat at my computer whilst watching videos. Hot food + glass plate = too hot for my lap LOL! 😊
When I watch a video is when I want to have a relax moment, and yes I understand what you mean, loud and annoying music and sometime without talking that will turn me off too.. When I decided to do a tutorial, I need to talk if not then don't do it

I’m going to try your pattern for the plate cozy. I have a pattern that I have done I but yours has deeper sides than mine. I’d have to make mine bigger to accommodate my particular plates, but that will be easy enough to figure the size. Thank you for this video! The snow came here starting this past Friday and it hasn’t gone away this time. 😢 I hate the snow too. So glad I came across this plate cozy bowl tutorial. One question- why did you not trim off excess from darts. Most other videos do cut it for bulk purpose.
I like to leave them so when I hold the place the thickness won't sleek away

Vivian, thank you for the plate cozy design. In most cozy patterns, it calls for 2 layers of batting. Did you use a double layer or just one piece of batting? I’m tempted to try using only one for my bowl cozies.
I only use 1 piece of batting Linda and that’s good enough. Sorry for the delayed response to your message
