    --- About Shanghai ---
Shanghai, one of the most populous and influential cities in China and the world, is a hub of culture, commerce, and finance. Here are some interesting facts about Shanghai:
Economic Powerhouse: Shanghai is known as the financial center of China. It's home to the Shanghai Stock Exchange, one of the world's largest by market capitalization.
Blend of East and West: The city is famous for its unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures, evident in its architecture, food, and lifestyle. The Bund, a famous waterfront area, showcases colonial-era buildings alongside modern skyscrapers.
Record-Breaking Skyline: Shanghai boasts some of the world's tallest skyscrapers, including the Shanghai Tower, which is the second tallest building in the world as of my last update in April 2023.
Rich History: Shanghai has a rich history, from its origins as a small fishing village to its status as a major world city. It was a key city during the opium wars and later became a treaty port.
Cultural Hub: The city is a melting pot of different cultures and hosts numerous cultural events, including the Shanghai International Film Festival and Shanghai Fashion Week.
Innovative Transportation: Shanghai has one of the fastest trains in the world, the Shanghai Maglev Train, which uses magnetic levitation to move without touching the ground.
Culinary Delights: Shanghai's cuisine is renowned, especially for dishes like Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings) and Shengjianbao (pan-fried buns).
Green Spaces: Despite its urbanization, Shanghai has beautiful green spaces, such as the Yu Garden, an exquisite example of Ming Dynasty garden design.
Tourist Attractions: Popular tourist attractions include the Oriental Pearl Tower, the historic district of Xintiandi, and the Nanjing Road shopping district.
Population Diversity: Shanghai is not only a magnet for people from all over China but also has a significant expatriate population, contributing to its diverse and international character.

As well 'blow' into the air the dust, grit, sand and other particulates into the surrouunding area... which takes time to settle down and then disperses into a wider area.... I still admire the 'older' experienced past street cleaners skillfully using the 'adjustable' spread angle of the sapulili 'broom' (made of centre leaf stems of coconut trees (I think). They can really clear a wide road/side road with minimal/efficient use of physical strength/energy 🙏@@dy-no-mitedragon7759

Thanks for sharing this vibrant video of old Shanghai streets. Streets in China are filled with such quiet, peaceful, and comfortable life vibes, without drugs, homelessness, rats, zero-cost shopping scams, and the proliferation of firearms. There's no littering or public defecation, and these democratic values are truly admirable.

For those followers who live in one of those western countries, one of the most common questions would be: where is the homeless people? Short answer is there is none. This might be a bit hard to understand for you fellas, but China is a what you call "communist country" or "socialist country" as it calls itself, it means China is not as "free" as you are in your country, including you don't have the freedom to be a homeless. If you camp or sleep on the street like you do in Los Angeles, social workers and police will come to rescue and put you into one of those temp centers and call your families. They even manage to give you a job.

@0:58, many people ignorant of the history of the Foreign Quarters in China, especially in Shanghai call these neighborhoods with Western European architect quaint, beautiful, and exquisite. Those who have read the history of the Foreign Quarters know of an uglier dimension hidden within these buildings. Foreign Quarters such as as the Bund were sectors inhabited by the Western White Europeans, the Chinese were banned except as laborers. Within these sectors the Western White Europeans established a sovereign governance with its own police, army, laws, court, business, and politicians. Essentially, Apartheid in China. While the America passed the Chinese Exclusion Act in 1898, the Western White Europeans enacted and enforced Apartheid laws against the Chinese in China.

To the Chinese, concessions in China are a constant humiliating reminder how weak and backward China was.

Let me tell you a story you never heard of. Once upon a time my Shanghai girlfriend boost what French mansion her great grandfather used to own but it was confiscated by the Communists. Little did she know my Beijing girlfriend knew nothing about that because she never needed to pay attention to some girls from Shanghai. What’s more, I tried to talk to their sons in California and London to return to their moms while my next girlfriends send their kids to Australia and Belgium.

@@songbai2322perhaps, these Hollywood writers are hired by Genocide Joe. Many of them were on strike months ago so they are probably in dire need of work.
