Other thing to note is that if you are a manufacturer, then you need t have non-branded items to show product quality and features. These are not knock offs and fakes, just sample products. If you have your own design, then they will make it for you. Essentially Chinese factories make all kinds of products, to them there is no real/fake, as they are asked to make orders from the genuine brands, help other factories fill larger orders, and also asked by western companies to make "similar to this one" type products as a matter of routine.
A pair of jeans is a genuine pair of jeans. The brand adds a label and patterned stitch, but the material and factory, the thread, the process, machinery and staff involved is the same. Sometimes the factory will get paid more per unit to make non- high street brands (like supermarket clothing/toys) than the "geniune" one.

funny how India , Vietnam , Mexico and others ARE competing and taking business away from China. The west is divorcing itself from Chinese industry because of CCP policies and their continuing push to alienate themselves from the rest of the world. Reality is far from the rosy picture you paint. I can tell that the shills are out in force in this video just based on a lot of the comments saying the same exact thing. "NO ONE CAN COMPETE!" Chinese economy is in the toilet. Shenzhen is empty. Factories are closing at alarming rates, yet "NO ONE CAN COMPETE!". Its just empty rhetoric from desperate shills. I feel really bad and angry for the people of China who just want to run their business, but the CCP has pulled the rug out from under them and created an environment where China is becoming more and more isolated from the rest of the world. If the CCP would get out of the way, China would become an amazing place. If you want to see how Chinese people and industry can be successful, look at Taiwan.

Over capacity or serving the consumers?? Indeed, consumers world wide have never been happier with cheap and most affordable products from anywhere. China Manufacturers set sights on world markets and rely on volume for profits. It is no exaggeration to say that if you can survive competition within China, you will succeed in any market. From the indicative pricing it is evident even developing countries with lower labour wages have great difficulty to beat China.
