    1 1/2 C. All Purpose Flour (190g)
    1 Tbsp Baking Powder (14g) [You can use 1/2 Tbsp if you experienced a bitter taste with your BP before]
    1/2 tsp salt (2g)
    3/4 C. Granulated Sugar (150g)
    1 C. Buttermilk (250ml)
    1/2 C. Vegetable Oil (125ml)
    1 tsp Vanilla (4g)

      @@husainayusufmaitama7331 sure... I'm not using buttermilk but sour cream.... And i use oil just few tablespoons and the results amazingly moist

    I did it and it was AMAZING!!! MY FAVOURITE EGGLESS CAKE RECIPE !
    i did 50/50 of butter and oil and did with milk instead of buttermilk BUT STILL it was delicious

    I made this yesterday and finished it with my friend, and made it again today ( it’s in the oven ) and it’s smelling great! My mom bought me cupcake frosting, cupcake liners, and a cupcake tin! We don’t have the exact measurements but it still works great! A problem I have is that the cake gets really crumby when I make the batter because it’s just oil and buttermilk, but instead I would also pop in 3/4 of a cup of milk to make it moist and delicious, but overall this recipe is amazing!

    Just tried your recipe an hour ago. The cake is moist and soft.Thank you for this, i have been looking for egg-less recipe for long. I have substituted salt with baking soda(because most of my cakes i use both baking soda and baking powder)

    De-licious!!! Even without vanilla. I used butter instead of oil and homemade almond milk. 👌🏾🤤 nice and fluffy. Be sure not to over mix. I made cup cakes.

    1 and 1/2 cup - All Purpose Flour

      What do you mean by buttermilk, you mixte your milk and butter together, so what are the portion for each before you mix them together? Please how long does it takes in the oven and what should be the oven temperature? Thank you

      @@angeliquelimoan7476 no, you just add lemon juice to milk and it will turn into buttermilk. She has a video where she shows how to make it. It's super easy and quick !

    The outcome of this cake took me by surprise. It was sooo good. I was blown away by the fact that I didn’t have to alternate between liquid and dry ingredients or whip anything until fluffy and still the cake came out nice and soft. Thanks for sharing. I did add one egg. I wonder how this recipe would do with volume 🤔

      Hello! you can use milk, sour cream, yogurt, and you can make buttermilk at home by combining milk and lemon juice. I have a video on my channel for that :)

    Looks delicious and perfect sponge.😋 What is the substitute of baking powder that I can use? I don't have baking powder but I have baking soda.

      Thank you! You can use baking soda it’s a great substitute. I sometimes experience a bit of a brownish colour with vanilla cakes when using baking soda so if you have cream of tartar add that too! Otherwise you’re good to go!

      I wouldn’t use it for cakes, it gives more of a bread texture! But feel free to do so if you want to 😊

      You can use sour cream instead of buttermilk and if you want to use a combination of oil and butter that would be the same amount in total (I would recommend 50/50 of each) ☺️❤️

      I'm not really sure I understand your question but what I can tell you is that with this cake you can use any filling you like. For example, buttercream is a great option and you can fill curd, jam, or any type of filling or sauce you like between the layers. I hope I was able to answer your question!       Did you use 1 tablespoon baking powder or just half a tablesppon please? Pm description it said it could have a bitter taste, which I have had with an old recipe.

    Hi there, i've request😆
    Please make mocha cake using
    1. cocoa powder & instant coffee powder
    2. Or dark chocolate chocolate couverture & instant coffee powder
    & please dont use yogurt or similar thing & please dont use condensed milk, please use mix of milk(liquid) & water or maybe only water if possible
    So the list of the ingredients will be
    - Flour
    - Cocoa powder (or dark chocolate chocolate couverture )
    - Instant coffe powder
    - Baking powder / soda / both
    - Sugar
    - Milk (or only water)
    - Water
    - vinegar
    - oil
    Note: i kinda know what the ingredients that might be need for mocha cake but i dont know how many grams it will be need. I also dont know the science behind cake. So, im confused about making mocha cake

      Hi! You can use regular milk but buttermilk gives the cake more moisture. You can make buttermilk at home using 2 simple ingredients! I have a video on my channel 🥰

      @@ButtercutBakery hi dear I have query why we need to keep the batter to rest for 30 mins in freeze. .won't the baking powder n baking soda added to batter looses it's powering agents by making the cake hard and dense. ..???? Instead of soft

      I do not let this recipe rest, i rest my vanilla cake with eggs to rest. The reason I do it is to allow air bubbles to cone to the surface, I’ve noticed with time that rested batters made better cakes. This is totally optional though!

    I made it too, but I was a bit worried because it looked like bread dough when I put in oven. Is it because my milk/ buttermilk was cold. Not room temperature. But it came out fine.😆 I thank you for your recipe.

    In this recipe if I add 1.25 cup of maida and 0.25 cup of coco powder instead of maida, will it make a good chocolate cake ??

      I honestly never used maida in my cakes so I cannot really tell but substituting 1/4 cup of flour to cacao powder always works for me ☺️

    If I choose to use Butter, do i just let it sit to room temperature and then add it in? Or would you suggest creaming it with the sugar and then adding the flour and butter milk and then baking? I always find eggless cake recipes are very hit and miss. I baked one this weekend and it was horrendous but the last time i used the same recipe and it was amazing. I think initially ill try the oil based recipe as seems a bit more reliable from what you say.

      Hi! I would personally cream the butter with the sugar but I do advise you to try a recipe with oil instead of butter. Butter based cakes have a dense texture compared with oil based cakes and since eggless cakes miss the moisture and fluffiness eggs provide, I prefer using oil! Let me know how it goes🥰

    First thanks for sharing..definitely going to try your recipe, have noticed you said store in an airtight container. why do I need to do that, just curious? Can I wrap in plastic wrap? I don't hAve an airtight container. And what is the holding time on it .want to bake and keep in the refrigerator for 3days before icing the cake is that too much storage time. Asking because I don't know was looking at the timing because it would be more than one cake with different colors.

      Hi! You can definitely wrap it in plastic wrap, I said airtight container just because any air will make a cake dry! If the cake will not be completely consumed after you decorate it I would suggest to wrap it in plastic wrap and aluminum (or ziplock bag) and store it in the freezer. Take it out a few hours before decorating, let it come to room temperature, and it’ll be as good as new! Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions ❤️

    Hi Thank You so much, I need to make an egg free cake for my sons birthday and this looks easy!!! I need to make a 12cm high 15cm wide cake so I think I will need 6 layers.. would you recommend the same quantity of ingredients you use for each layer? Also do you have a nice egg free butter cream recipe to share? Maybe some tips on how to color butter cream?

      Hi! I'm so glad you liked this recipe. For the measurements you mentioned I would definitely double the recipe! I believe that this recipe would make 2 to 3 6" layers...

    Please make a change of 1tbs baking powder to 1tsp baking powder as it resulted is bitter and it was too soft that resulted in bread breaking into crumbs.

      No, its not. It's literally 4 teaspoons lemon juice mixed with one cup milk. There's a video in the description that shows how to make it.

    Do you think this cake batter could carry fruits like blueberries? Or would I have to reduce the milk to make it a bit more stiff? I've baked so many soggy bottoms in my days.

      I believe the consistency of the cake could carry blueberries 🥰 I would suggest to always toss your blueberries in a bowl of flour (like dust them with flour so they are fully covered) and then incorporate them to the cake ☺️ Tell me how it goes!
