You seem to forget that the rifle spear's transfrom mode has the longest range attack out of any weapon in bloodborne besides the beast cutter, cause that transformed charge attack is a bitch to deal with when you are on the recieving end of it
Saw Spear is underrated in my professional opinion. I've only (almost) played through the game once and it was my main weapon after I upgraded it past the axe. It's versatile. It has serrated damage in both forms, which is useful against beasts, as well as thrusting damage to use against kin of cosmos. It's pretty fast in the folded form as well. I thought it was pretty good and I fully upgraded it without any regrets.
Yes, I mainly parry using the piercing rifle. Yes, my first playthrough was using the rifle spear before finding the burial blade. And yes... I do actually do 300 damage per shot pretty steadily, can time parries like nobody's business, have slain more Micolash's than I care to admit with it, and have watched health bars melt with bone marrow ash. And don't tell Rusty... But the burst damage with the rifle spear is crazy if you know how to build it...
The torch serves to provide light that is much brighter than the lantern and the ability to scare beasts can be nice. Not that the extra light is ever really _worth it,_ but I find it very tedious to play in the dark somehow, so I usually keep it as my second off hand weapon and pull it out at times in darker areas where I don't need the help of a gun
I both love and genuinely HATE the Kirkhammer. I love the concept of slashing an enemy like a Brit and then pounding them into mashed potatoes afterwards. The only problem...it did less than 150 damage in its TRANSFORMED mode, with the basic sword doing less than 40. I spent like, 10000 Blood Echos on something that is both slower and weaker than my other weapon, the Hunter Axe. It's a waste of space and money if your Strength is under 20 and I love the concept, but hate the weapon. Edit: I had like 18 or 19 Strength.
I'm a year late, but I'd like to point out that, if you specializes for the wheel, the dang thing slaps. If you ever watch those videos that pit npcs against eachother, Alfred is usually one of the last to fall. I don't think beating him up before he has his conehead phase really counts.
I like how the tonitrus got a 20 second segment, dude's never played str/arc clearly. Who couldn't love that morningstar wannabe that someone stuck in an outlet.
Rifle Spear is actually a pretty solid weapon, especially for a more tactical Hunter who likes staying at a safe range. Standard R1 is good to quickly poke at an opponent you've drawn out, Trick R1s have frontal sweeps, Trick R2 has ridiculous range foe gap closing. Only bad thing I experienced was getting way too comfy with the 2HR2 charge's range, which cost me a lot of hits on things when i switched weapons
I never use the Cleaver because its second form is complete garbage. I almost always use the Spear because its second form moveset doesn't SUCK. Come at me, bro.

I feel like people are too harsh on Alfred, he's got some redeeming qualities. For starters he's handsome, and... well, he's... handsome.
He's definitely not bad looking, so there's another thing in his favor.
Anyone else come back after he realised the saw spear video
2019:*says the saw-spear is underwhelming*
2021:*makes video solely about how good the saw-spear is*
you missing out on the amygdalan arm. gives you free hits after an R2! and its an arm.... of an amygdala. so badass
I feel like I’m one of 10 people that like the Tonitrus, it’s one of my favorite weapons LOL
Dude upgrading it makes it so op especially with the charge lol I love it man
Just about finished my Arcane build, and I've been using a fire upgraded saw spear and a bolt tonitrus. Rusty and I would not get along.
Yeah this guy doesnt know jack shit about this game
@@stanley2323 this guy gets it
I actually liked the Tonitrus it my be bad in PvP but most enemies are week to bolt damage especially kin and great ones so I really liked it but its your opinion
after I one-shotted the executioner I KNEW it was one of my main weapons
just wish the durability wasn't so damn low.
What if they are month to bolt damage?

No he hasn't. Do you want a fucking slap?

It was a refere-- never mind. Just go back to your Siegbrew, someone else will get that joke.
@@The_Chef2511 i get it
The rifle spear has good dps not sure what you ran into
Rusty better apologize to the logarius wheel gang before we come to his house and steal his car wheels
I personally like the rifle spear
The fact that people still make this and still watch this is amasing.
Well done
It seems that you are trying to bring forth the rage of Daddy Lenny.
If you think the tonitrus is bad I can't think of anything other than you've never used it with an arcane build. It kicks ass.
*FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE*
Shit moveset and durability. The damage doesn't excuse it's sins
2:34 "THATS RIGHT FUCKER MOTHERS ITS THE LOGARIUS WHEEL AGAIN"
The greatest weapon ever conceived, known to man, depending on this thumbnail...a wheel...lol
Also attempt number 8 Rusty play Dante's Inferno please
Man invented the wheel and on the next day they began beating one another to death with it
Reasons I use the Kirkhammer instead of the Holy Blade:
1. I don't have the DLC.
Nah that's respectable literally same
The torch has a special perk it makes the beast cower in fear of the fire in old yarnam but other then that it just illuminates the dark.
You either love the spear or the cleaver. People rarely rank them the same
Interesting, I love the tonitrus, it's a great boss killer even on mid range arcane builds. It helped me make mince meat out of rom and the one reborn
I love the extra light in such a dark game I use the hunters torch all the time
@@mikehurt3290 Yeah, I always find it nice to have bright lighting
Happy Hogswatch you mad lad, thanks for bringing a chuckle to me mug
I honestly found the Amygdala’s Arm to be a very fun weapon
Yeah where's the arm love
He didn't even talk about the weapon just the guantlet you run past and ignore to get it
@@jaydeejay4166 Gauntlet isn't even hard. Just blue elixir and backstab the chain gun guy, and the rest of the cave is super easy.
@@cordyceps182 other than the chain gun guy who might be cheeseable, I don't know
It isn't that hard
Dude great video
I both love and genuinely HATE the Kirkhammer. I love the concept of slashing an enemy like a Brit and then pounding them into mashed potatoes afterwards. The only problem...it did less than 150 damage in its TRANSFORMED mode, with the basic sword doing less than 40. I spent like, 10000 Blood Echos on something that is both slower and weaker than my other weapon, the Hunter Axe. It's a waste of space and money if your Strength is under 20 and I love the concept, but hate the weapon.
Edit: I had like 18 or 19 Strength.
Coppa came through when Rusty started talking about the rifle spear
I'm a year late, but I'd like to point out that, if you specializes for the wheel, the dang thing slaps. If you ever watch those videos that pit npcs against eachother, Alfred is usually one of the last to fall. I don't think beating him up before he has his conehead phase really counts.
Well the queen can't die and she just is in a permanent state of being a blob of meat and blood
And you can also revive her, making Alfred's efforts completely meaningless.
I always found the spear better than the cleaver
i like how your latest BB vid is “the underrated SAW SPEAR.”
He has seen the light! better late than never🤷♂️
I like how the tonitrus got a 20 second segment, dude's never played str/arc clearly. Who couldn't love that morningstar wannabe that someone stuck in an outlet.

*hears Static shock reference
Ah. I see you are a man of culture.
I thought that was a SS reference! I was giddy about that one!
Honestly I love the Tonitrus! A lot of the most annoying enemies in the game are weak to bolt including the Snatchers
He really gonna say Tonitrus is trash when it can melt everything especially when fightings Kins and enemies weak to bolt.
To be fair, almost anything can melt everything on the right build.
Speed Lee's "Arcane guide" disagrees with your placement of the Saw Spear, Rusty 😏
he also said that every weapon can be use in an Arcane built... well almost
WE DO NOT DISRESPECT ALFRED IN THIS HOUSE
Somebody never used an arcane build
I've seen this guy's Bloodborne videos a million times and they never stop being funny. A playthrough played by him would be hilarious for sure.
Hoonters still hoonting I see.... good.
I never use the Cleaver because its second form is complete garbage. I almost always use the Spear because its second form moveset doesn't SUCK. Come at me, bro.
I always thought the Tonitrus was insanely good...
HOMIE. the fist of gratia and torch are meant to be used to stun people before using your primary weapon. The are very good for dex bloodtinge builds that use a gun weaponcombo primary and for other weird weapons.
Fun fact : the Tonitrus is my favorite weapon in the entire game
I do not blame you!
Slap some shock gems on it and you could taze anything to death
I saw a couple comments trying to figure out the name of the song at the beginning. It’s Cravings “Sooner Than You Know.” You’re welcome.
6:02 bro was that a Static Shock reference?
The torch can be very useful when you're surrounded by certain beasts. They literally won't attack you if you have it equipped.
what a christmas gift, yay
Yoooo i used the torch the whole game my first play through because I couldn't be bothered to learn how to use the guns
This weapon is reVOLTing
Fire saw spear was literally more of a crutch than Ludwig's holy blade for me
this is not " top 10 ok weapons " , it's " watching rusty screaming to the worse weapons of bloodborne while having an lift music in background "
except none of them are that bad
@@bigmac8309 well some of them are actually so bad as he say if you just don't have any build on that
Fun Fact:
The Hunter's Torch is a separate weapon from the Torch, and it's actually pretty alright
The standard torch can't be upgraded, and has no scaling
The Hunter's torch has arcane scaling, and can be upgraded like other weapons. It can't, however, get gems
I am so here for medium rankings, medium is a thriving pit for great goodness.
"If this weapons was a vehicle it would be a volkswagen"

Sooner Than You Know from Carvings.
