While the previous 2hu arrangement i uploaded was neglected, but finished, this was never properly finished. I had plans to rewrite the 2nd half, but it fell through after IRL responsibilities came up... Only this version of the arrangement remains. I'm not very proud of anything past the 3 minute part, as it feels very disjointed compared to the beginning; The first part is in 4/4, but then it suddenly switches to 6/8 for the climax. I was surprised to find that I had rendered it using the CFX at some point, so i decided to upload the piece in its last known form
I tried making shinmy's theme, a theme that felt epic and tense, to something more mellow yet passionate. The first half is quite decent, but the 2nd half simply falls apart due to the time signature switch, making everything lopsided in the grand scheme of things. The return of the main theme is also very hard to play; it's incredibly taxing for the Left Hand. However, It was a stepping stone for me when it comes to arrangement and treating themes to be different in terms of character

Here are my amatuer analysis! (woo I never studied anything about musical theory lmao feel free to correct me hahahaha)
- The most noticable thing is that the inital hype/energy is absent, like the percussion from the original is now in favour of the chords (I think they're broken chords?). I think you accomplished what you set out to do (epic and tense,-> mellow yet passionate) very well. Imo it gives me a feeling of melancholy - up until the 3 min mark.
- I liked the leitmotif (I think it's a leitmotif?) there at around 4:27. Took me a second to realize it was a reference to Reverse Ideology.
- Oh yeah and uh - idk if I'm being a bit silly by saying this, but I don't think the second half was so much as bad, as it was perhaps not linked up well, if that makes any sense. The contrast felt like it was playing right after the dialog, and I liked the dynamic change. I suppose it's 'cause I cannot hear any key change (slight tone-deafness) but you get the gist.
- I'm not familiar with Elegies, but I thought it was a form of literature. Welp, gotta go find out I suppose.

Nice writeup! If you mean the LH part, then that's just arpeggios, which is technically a form of a broken chord
The title is a nod to an actual classical piece, Rachmaninoff's Elegie, Op.3/1 (which is under the same set as the infamous C# minor prelude). Compared to rach's piece tho, this is absolutely nothing LMAO

Thank you! I can send the score to you if you want. It lacks any sort of instructions/markings + the notation is quite messy, which is why I didn't publish it...
