I've been making this recipe for my birthday for the past few years, and it's my absolute favorite! I brought it to Easter dinner last year and everyone loved it. The only thing I ever have trouble with is the white chocolate swirl on top - make sure you get good quality white chocolate so it melts evenly!
This guy explains so well, i haven’t found any one better than him elaborating each and every significant detail beautifully, really appreciate and admire your content keep up the good work ✌🏻
Made this for Father’s Day and everyone absolutely loved it! It’s so decadent, rich and delicious. Even “not cheesecake people” really enjoyed it. Will definitely make again. 🥰
Love this recipe I substituted the chocolate Oreos for a limited edition flavor churro flavored Oreos and omg it came out delicious I added cinnamon chips on the decor at the end 😊
Made this today. Here are my thoughts: “Oreo” cookie packages (US) are 1 lb 2.12 oz. I simply used what was in the package (John uses a few more cookies than what is in a package.). Crust: I used the 1/2c of butter from the original recipe and my pan began to drip out butter while in the oven! In my second attempt, I went with 5 tbs unsalted butter and had no dripping at all. I also bought a package of “Oreo Thins” to make up for the rest of the cookies John uses in the recipe and to decorate the top of the cheesecake. The “Oreo Thins” added a more delicate touch to the top vs. using the regular Oreos. The white chocolate bars are almost $5 a piece in my neck of the woods. One 125g bar was WAY MORE than enough. Just add less cream….I used just shy of 1/4c. The small amount of chocolate used in this recipe: I also reduced to 1 full tbs of melted chocolate to about 1/2 tbs of cream. This was also all you need. My gas stove is from the 1940s, and I allowed the cheesecake to bake about 70 minutes. At 45 -50 minutes, it was not set enough in the middle. The cheesecake turned out super yummy!
Agree on less butter for the crust. When I made it with a whole stick, butter leaked out of the pan AND the crust slipped down the sides of the pan. I remade it with 4 TBSP of butter and it was perfect! This was my daughter’s birthday cake and she’s not a fan of white chocolate, so for the top, I crushed up Oreos instead of using the ganache. My cheesecake had a pretty significant crack in the middle, so I thought the ganache would just sink into the crack and not give me a smooth top, and I was worried that the white chocolate would make the cheesecake overly sweet. The crushed up Oreos were the perfect topping in our opinion!
I just made this and I wish I could send the picture and videos this was oo good aside that cream cheese is expensive here in Ghana (Africa) this cake is totally worth it God bless John ❤️
Beautiful John and Sweet George🩷 what a handsome young man he is John, you and your husband must be so very proud of your young men!! I am so afraid of cheesecake lol but I will give it another go after watching the step by step tutorial you have so eloquently shared. Many thanks for sharing with us, I thoroughly enjoyed watching and listening and always look forward to the next one. Have a wonderful weekend!!! 🩷 Tina 🩷
I did this recipe but made mini cheesecakes with a muffin pan. This way my nephew can freeze them and pull one out when he wants one. It made 2 dozen mini cheesecakes. Because it is being frozen, I did not add the oreo on top. Instead, did the white chocolate, whip cream and a dark chocolate drizzle. I baked them at 320 for 14 minutes. I used gluten free oreos since nephew has issues with gluten.
OMG John! This cheesecake looks so good! And is a winner! I will definitely make this Oreo cheesecake..love your son's expression it is priceless and he is so adorable! I loved and enjoyed your video! Thank you for sharing your recipe. 😊
The 1st oreo cheesecake I ever made was with your recipe. And I must say it was and still is chef's kiss🤭. But my fave will always be your turtle cheesecake. It has so many flavors that my taste buds love🤭💜🇯🇲
You always come up with Diveni recipes from many thanks I'm glad you have a helper bless yo your family appreciate nd value you 🙏 you are the Best 👌 I feel bad I won't come in July I wish you the best

Wow this looks delicious, Oreo cheesecake will be loved by everyone. I noticed you used a whisk attachment to mix up your cream cheese filling and I see people use a paddler attachment usually. May I ask why? Do you get a better result doing so?
Oreo overload! Cheesecake is rich on its own. So much Oreo would overwhelm me. I alway put a cup of water in the oven in to keep it moist and avoid cracking. My recipe requires that after baking is complete, turn oven off and let it cool in a closed oven for one hour. It all works about 85% of the time but sometime it still cracks. I love your cheesecake, just not an Oreo fan.
Then don't make it...? ETA: U could always add a bit less oreo in the batter but careful not to change the structural integrity, or use a different crust. U can always keep scrolling if a recipe isn't your preference or too overwhelming for you. Not everyone needs to know it.
Omg the “papa can I help!” Was so freaking cute!!!!! 🥹
Pure sweetness, these boys!
I was gonna say the exact same thing
I KNOW!!! that was the best!

The cheesecake looks amazing but your sweet little boy stole my heart.❤️
I was just thinking of what dessert to bring to Father’s Day and this video popped up. It must be destiny! 😄
Same here..I was debating Black Forest cheese but…I bet this would be even better with a brownie layer instead of Oreo crust yum
It's the algorithm
The microwave turntable hack is one of the best I've ever heard! Well done!
DITTO! I loved it.
I honestly don't mind cracks in cheesecakes when the flavour is there! They are sublime regardless! Thank you for the video!
