I have a V70 2.5T that is chipped to 252hp and 410nm with a sports exhaust 🤤, like when I want to drive slow and safe the deep rumble is quite relaxing 😌. Or I need to accelerate one gear down and hear that turbo spool and the engine sing 🤤🤤🤤 especially at 3000-4500 I giggle because of the sound and respectable performance for a 20 year old car 😊
thats always been the problem woth volvo. They coulsnt design a sporty handling car to save their life even if their engines were amazing. They were so focused on safety that they had no idea how to make it well. Ford done it tho. Taking their 2.5T 5 cylinder into mk2 Focus RS.
@@Kacpa2 The Volvo v50 R design runs the Ford Focus RS suspension setup. Ford owned Volvo from 2011 so the V50 is around 80% Ford Focus platform. The R design version is practically a Focus RS. Everything on the running gear is stamped FoMoCo. The handling is excellent for a midrange estate car. The V60 saloon which is not a Ford creation held a record at the Nurburg ring for best handling stock production saloon car. The Volvo V70 estate T5 was the winning car in the British touring car championships for several years in a row through the 1990's.
@@ljt3084 850 could be entertaining a bit mlre just because of 90s tech standards, speed isnt corelated to fun. There are tons of fast suvs in which you feel nothing, nor the steering, nor the speed. Audis steering feel is videogame steering wheel level with no feedback for instance
@@Kacpa2 the old 850/ v70/c70 handle really well they have a passive rear axle for better turn in and the development of the P1 platform that the focus RS used, was led by volvo. You have to drive these cars and see just how good a suspension change can make them
