I love to see the T5's and T5-R's's in nice contition! Good job preserving them!
And they also corner Very well, dont know what happened with p2 but they dont like turning at all, maybe because Rear suspension helping these p80/p1. Also first gen s40/v40 is probably the Best cornering Volvo from these Times.
@@BugThorn Likely. Found a tuned P2 FWD, and she corners like crazy - even before I found the proper tires, and used somewhat worn ones she had. Even on mild ice :)

As a fellow gen 1 s40, I'd say that's not all his fault. No cool down by next corner probably had a bad caliper

@@oliverxvi4373 I agree. For under 500 use (minus tax and shipping) you can get powerstop cheese graters and upgraded pads. Why anyone wouldn't at that price is beyond me

Or do you mean one of those T8 versions? That would be a turbo, a supercharger and an electric help. The dealerships love them too. Clever system but not very sturdy to abuse.
I never in my life though that I would see a S80 Harlequin! But I'm not surprised that it wears NL plates. 😆

Have 2 Volvos. An XC 60 T6 Recharge and a 2005 18i S40. Obviously different cars but both drive great. Volvo for life.

Having driven one myself for the best part of 15 years, I have to say I am pretty surprised how well the old 940s are doing. Certainly not the fastest but mostly doing a fine clear line without any stability issues. 👌

Nope, it is not the Ferrari / Prancing Horse badge. It's a Prancing Moose badge / sticker, for Volvo.

Been a massive Volvo fan all my life and this video makes me extremely happy. It's hard to choose a favourite here.

I would love to see what a 240 Turbo would do on stock springs and really good 205/65R15 tires. No matter how hard I pushed my 89 DL automstic, on Michelin Defender H rated tires. I could never get any squeals out if them. The car would lean, take a set, and then just go. The only reason it came off the road is rot after 400,000 miles and 34 Ontario, Canada winters.
Everytime i see a 3 series in these videos it makes me anxious, smh...
