Fantastic video. Spot on with your synopsis of the car. That smile you get when you put your foot down. Even at speeds between 30 and 50mph, it feels incredibly satisfying. That is very true about "people wanting to talk about the car". We had so many people come up to the car, while we were (getting strapped in, which is one of my negatives, the straps are nice, but takes too long to put on and are fiddly), and just standing there with their jaw on the ground. Having people glance at you as you drive past is awesome! Another negative would be burning your leg on the exhaust - although you will probably only do that once. haha). The Caterham is so addictive, low, raw, fast, noisy, basic, and the car colours take your breath away, all rolled into one wonderful package. The fact it didn't even have a radio, was so cool and had basic buttons, although the indicator was ridiculously loud. We just hired a Caterham Seven 360R for the past 4 days. The weather was fantastic and it was the best fun I've ever had in car (and I thought my Tesla took that position but alas). We drove all over Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex and shhhhhh (Brands Hatch track as well). About 400 miles in 4 days. The country lanes were brilliant. I would love to drive up to Wales, the lake district or even Scotland past the lochs. Another negative, but we really are nitpicking here, is the oil sump at the front of the car is in the wrong place. It makes the clearance too damn low. Speed bumps, potholes and bumpy roads can certainly ruin the feeling of freedom if you hit them hard enough. Although when I mentioned this to Caterham, they said in some models you can move the sump backwards to create more clearance. It is certainly a car for the countryside and if I had a second garage I would 110% buy one tomorrow for summer or weekend driving.
Love the films. Thanks. Where were you when you were driving out in the country? Where was that pub with other cars etc? I couldn't make it out on the V.O or from the road signs.
Yeah the camera setup was not Caterham friendly with all the wind noise. Should be more prepared next time, I’ll just need to test it with another Caterham 👀. Hope you enjoyed it regardless

I used to drive to work in mine every day, so respectfully disagree... looking forward to my next one.
Haha fair play! I guess it'll help wake you up in the morning
@@JBB013 I think I sold it with over 40k on the clock... now every day seems to just be waiting until I can get another one lol.
Thank you for the good video! from JAPAN. Seven is a good car. I like '86 BDR.

Thanks! It was Caffeine and Machine, definitely worth a visit if you haven't already
@@JBB013 Thanks very much. It's now on the list!
You need to get a better, more directional mic with better placement.

@@JBB013 Video was fine. Put a lav mic nearer your mouth, like on your shirt/jacket lapel
最高だよ😃👍
