Congratulations, Jamie, on becoming a property owner! Your excitement and enthusiasm about taking this giant step are apparent. I'm excited for you as well!
I’m a Haitian American (work remotely in tech) looking to resettle outside of the US and would love to learn more about Belize! I loved watching your videos while you were in Barbados, and I can’t wait to see your journey back to your native Belize. Your videos are tremendously helpful, and I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors!
And also! Can you make a video on the cost and process to purchase land there? I am very open to moving to other Caribbean islands that are affordable to live and build. Would love to compare it to Jamaica. ☺️
I paid less than normal because I’m buying from a family friend and he gave me a really good discount! But I can do some research and see if I can make a video. 🙂
Congrats Jamie! 💜 i am so happy for you 😌 and glad to see other sisters becoming land owners. I am currently in Belize, and my husband & I just purchased our first 10 acres of land. It is so exciting! If you’re open to it, hopefully we could connect! Blessings!
I lived in Belize as a teenager I always wanted to go back and buy land build house or condos of some type for residents. But buying land is the most important first step
Congrats for starting on this path. I'm curious about Belize in general and land ownership there as well. I'll be keeping an eye on your updates. Have a blessed 2021
Congratulations Jamie, follow your dreams girl! Hope planning approved without delay! Have you thought of starting business email address for direct questions? Moving next two months to Belize myself!
Haven’t thought of the business email address, especially I’m not an expert yknow? I guess I can consider it. Thanks for the suggestion and good luck with your move!
Congrats on your purchase, hope everything go how you plan it.I am from Barbados too and would love to purchase some land down there.thanks for inspiration.

Hi Jamie, I this my second subscription to your channel since i have more than one channel...but i have a question... I live abroad but just some property in Corozal... I am planning to make the big move from the U.S. and i wanted to know if you have any company or person to suggest for the clearing and filling of the land. And any other suggestion of companies for A/C, Plumbing, Foundation work, and even concrete construction home build....etc... any suggestions i will gladly take....
WOW good Job. I'm So happy for you. I travelled around Belize to try and find a similar property to yours... however i was told that 'foreigners' aren't allowed to OWN property there. But of course, we all know the wealthy Americans buy up Land, in the best spots, put up huge hotels, and pay the Belizean staff peanuts to 12 hours days. Disgusting behaviour. I do love Belize though. Gorgeous Country and a Gorgeous Variety of People. Blessings to you.
I’m sorry that was your experience. The corruption is definitely real. I lucked out with this place because I bought from a family friend. Hopefully you are able to get a little piece of Belize!
Dont have to be a resident to buy land / property in belize. There is like a 8% transfer of title tax; or something like that. Squatters rights are very strict their also. Ppl would have to squat for like 30 yrs then jump through major hoops to clain your land. @@ladysaw9995
Really happy for you , Beliz is beautiful can I have the information of the people that selling the lot if possible? who knows we might end up being Neighbors lol iust saying 🤷🏽♀️ lol
HI Happy New Year to you and your family, I hope you were able to re-connect with your friends, great move buying land I wish you the best like the investment smarts looking forward to more details, show us more of Belize bye bye
I think you mentioned you were originally from Belize. It looks like you bought on mainland Belize. How did you decide between mainland Belize and one of the islands like San Pedro? Was it only cost or is the inconvenience of taking a boat to get to the islands too much? I am trying to decide if Belize is a place to retire for me on a few years. I am guessing there are advantages to living on the mainland such as being able to travel by car to Mexico for purchasing goods and building supplies.
Great question! I’m originally from Belize City, so I bought land on the mainland so that I can be close to my parents. The deal of a price was also a factor... property and the general cost of living in San Pedro is way more expensive. Mainland living is definitely more convenient. San Pedro has a lot of benefits as well, but for a significant cost.
@@jamierocke Outside of property near Belize City what part of the country on the mainland would be your second choice, Placencia, Corozal or Cayo for living versus being a tourist? Looking forward to seeing your tiny house adventure.
@@Harry_Lew Cayo or Placencia are great picks! Both have airports and are connected to major highways. They’re both growing areas with nice restaurants, communities and culture. So you can’t go wrong with either. It would be down to the vibe you prefer, coastal (Placencia) or inland (Cayo).
Hmmm! That’s a good question. It depends on what your vibe is and your work situation ( if you have to commute, etc) I think anywhere in the outskirts of major towns and cities is good. It’s not as crowded, there’s more space and prices are not as high.
@@jamierocke i really like that idea! That's definitely my type of vibe, in the outskirts of major towns/cities. Not to crowded. I think im going to at least take a visit to BZE in 2022 & observe. Thank you!!

Thanks! I don't have one, but land prices vary. Most options are listed by private sellers so the discretion of cost is up to them.

How much a sq ft is the average cost there
I’m really not sure. Most sellers are private and determine their rates based on personal factors.
