I've always found adverse possession interesting when it comes to real estate. You can tell your mom is a great lawyer! With traditional financing not a thing there, are most sales done CFD (seller financing)?

I own 6 lands there and have never had to work with the central bank there. I want to buy more land What does the central bank have to do with it?
You don’t have anything to do with it. The closing agent submits a form to Central Bank requesting approval for funds to enter Belize

Hi, Giselle! My family and I have made the decision to move to Belize next year (2025). In your opinion is caye caulker or san pedro better for families? Most of my research has been for San pedro/ambergris caye but I wanted to know more about caye caulker to make the best decision. Thank you!
Hi! I feel like both can be great for families. I feel like as a kid, Caye Caulker offered so much freedom because the entire island was my playground and the community is so small, each person almost felt like an aunt or uncle. Are you visiting Belize anytime soon? I highly recommend you visit both islands before making a final decision :)
@gisellebze Thanks so much for your response. 😊 Unfortunately, we won't be able to visit this year, but we'll most likely come next year to get a better feel of San Pedro and Caye Caulker.

If a foreigner posses a land certificate for empty land parcel in Caye Caulker of which squaters then build on, are there legal actions for which a foreigner can persue?
Ooh, I'd like to know this too!! We have half of our property we are not building on for several more years. What protections are there for that empty part of our land against squaters?

A document is sent to central bank stating that funds will be entering the country and then they need to approve it :)
