Hey Will This is something I am definitely interested in pursuing once we are on island full time . Makes sense if you are able to and live on an island, to really expand your adventures. Looking forward to to the next one
Nice, i just found your channel and man i love it, A sub from me man, love the production, i was searching youtube for any rubik's cube speed solvers from Belize [ I speed solve ] and nothing showed up but your videos, and i loved it, keep it up man
What about jet skis are you allowed to have those on the island and do you need a captains license or apprentice license? Or even a dinghy 10 foot would you need a license for that as well thanks well Ruben
Great question, Ruben! You don't need a license to operate a jet ski so that is a great way to get on the water with minimal effort. Small boats that are motor powered would require the license.
@@WillMitchellBelize it definitely would make a big difference! I need to ask a neighbor if I can use their dock. Do you recommend lifting the boat out of the water when not using it?
Hi Will, I’m currently processing through the QRP programme. My intention is to import a new boat. However, i own a property on St George’s Caye and i need a second hand boat to get me to and from Belize City to St George’s. My concern is that if I purchase a second hand boat that this would be classed as a boat purchase and I would lose any benefit importing from the USA. Have you any advice please.
Hey Thomas if you were to purchase a boat here in Belize there wouldn't be any import duties so there wouldn't be any concerns there. I recommend Captain sharks boat yard if that is the path you go with
@@WillMitchellBelize i need a boat prior to importing one. My concern is that when I purchase my main boat, the tax authority could say i have to pay taxes on the main boat that i will be importing. In addition, i am looking for a good architect who is reliable and swift could you recommend. I hope to be in Belize in a month. Where is the best place to find you?

I am always surprised in videos like this when the leave out the cost side of the issue? Fees to get licenses, will you need port or harbor fees, etc.
$25BZ for the application
That’s some good info here.
