I saw a video with Mayor Willy and he said they have broken ground for a Hospital 🏥 there. 🤔
I was quoting a sign found on Caye caulker :). We don’t have a hospital as yet, but we do have a clinic

Some that you left out- insects, rough dirt roads, only basic healthcare, and limited selection of items in stores. So if you want to follow a recipe here, forget about it. You probably won't find over half the items you need. I'm hoping they can get the Tren Maya to come here from Mexico so that we can possibly have more fruits and vegetables available.
That would be awesome. At least Mexico isn’t too far depending on where in Belize you are.

I am looking for somewhere to move to when I retire next year ( 2025) and here are my most important things I am looking at. I want to know that there is plenty of potable drinking water? I also love playing disc golf, so are there any real good sized city parks where i can spend the day throwing my discs? ( 15-25 acres in size is ideal ) Can I work as a janitor for some business part-time / Full Time while collecting my social security? Can I get by without owning a vehicle or scooter?
Hi! I’m not really familiar with parks in Belize being 15-25 acres in Belize. In fact, we’re not real big on parks in Belize. You can work as long as you apply for a work permit. I’d contact a lawyer to assist with that.
how is the wifi coverage? is there decent signal across the islands?
Honestly, on Caye Caulker, it’s not the best. Digicel is probably the better option if you’re on the islands

I tried to buy eggs in the city and all the eggs were stored outside and not in a fridge and i got sick from it… which supermarket keeps eggs in the refrigerator?
We eat fresh food we don't have very big people here
Yeah that’s pretty common in Belize. It never crossed my mind as odd except when they give you the individual eggs in a plastic bag lol!!

@@reneemills5558 The brown seaweed that is super-proliferating in the ocean now. It washes up on beaches in huge piles and rots and stinks. It's an economic disaster for the Caribbean, and I'm not sure how Belize is going to cope with it.
9 years in. Biggest thing that sucks is things are expencive and have no quality. Like a fridge ot tv washingmachine. Warrenty till the day it goes in. High importtaxes on goods. And the tacos suck its not like tacobell taco but snotty little greasy rolls.
The government does need to do something about the high importation taxes

Excuse me.. there are malls and hospitals in Belize I just had to stop u right there because this sounds like u talking in general ever heard of Dibary etc.
We definitely have hospitals. Dibary isn’t a mall :)
I agree with Giselle. I love Dibrary and Mariabs but they are like department stores in North America, not shopping malls with lots of stores.

Belize is the dustiest country i have ever been to. Every village has thick sandy dirt road and when i go in the house everything is filled up with dirt
Which country have you went to that's not dusty? You do have your preference and I do hope you find a country that's dust free
I have been to england jamaica, cayman, and almost all the caribbean islands and belize is the ONLY one that has so much dust …..all the villages in belize is full of dust ….. when you drive you have to make sure the car windows are up or you will be filled with dust… try driving to see the minnonites and see how much dust roads there are…. Your government need to pave the roads to get rid of the dust

Belize has a lame exchange rate with the US dollar 2:1 ...totally artificially fabricated for the value one gets...it should be 18 :1 or 23 :1 for the type of economy Belize is .

Show me where you get two large meals fully prepared, cooked and served to you on a plate for $1 in America.
