Just a quick FYI, the background check that Belize does takes about three months, so plan ahead. This program allows you to apply BEFORE you are in Belize so I suggest start early! QRP applicant, enjoying the Belize Vibe 👍😁👍
thanks for the info but that sounds like a lot of hassle just to visit the country for a few months a year I will be going again to Belize but I will stay as a tourist
@@Sluggo01 Sorry that reply went to the wrong comment. You would need to get international health insurance for your visit. In most situations, Medicare won't pay for health care or supplies you get outside the U.S. The term “outside the U.S.” means anywhere other than the 50 states of the U.S., the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
@@WillMitchellBelize any inside help you can give me will be appreciated thank you and you have a great video. 68yr old male good health, degree in electronics.
Will-- I am planning to move to Belize via the tourist route with my OLD campervan motorhome. I have a 10 yr RV TIP in Mex-- what do you think is the best way to import it affordably? Was initially considering doing runs to Chetumal for new 30-90 Belize TIPs until permanent residency, but it's looking like it won't matter when I import it. Will I qualify for any exemptions if its old and I'm not doing QRP? I am seeing mixed answers regarding how long the TIP will last (usually 30 days and extendable up to either 3 or 6 months?)
Moving to Belize is always a good choice lol. You can stay as long as you like you just need to extend your tourist visa on a monthly basis at the immigration office
Hey Austin I recommend a call to go over all of these really good questions. Shoot me an email at will@remaxbelizerealestate.com to schedule something!

Hey Jason, great little tip!
Do you need a background check for a two week vacation?
Love the change-up in the setting/backgrounds in this video. Would be great to see more of Mahogany Bay in future vids 😊
We're working on integrating more vlog style movement to the videos! Glad to hear the feedback
Good information. We just received our approval. It took about 4 months. We had to have every required document notarized.
Thank you, Cherri!! Great news.
Hey Will thanks for all the information
Can you also do a video for people that may qualify for the investors residency
We would be happy to put that together!
I remember the Fiat they sold many models like that and some convertible like Spider
The QRP age requirement has been lowered to 40 this year (2024) rather than 45. So instead of it getting harder, it's actually getting easier.
Yep this is all good news! We have a video on this with the tourism board that we recently released.
I appreciate the video and information.
Thank you very much Franklin!!
@@WillMitchellBelize planning a trip late this year, I'll contact you then.
$200 USD a month to stay. Use to be like $50.
That 24K of income means what? What happens if i have $250,000 in cash in a bank account? Does that allow you to qualify?
Great question the $24,000 would be gross and the $250,000 would need to be invested in something in Belize
$2000 / month , not 200 ( as someone in the comments wrote)
I'M A CITIZEN OF BELIZE LEFT IN 71' NEVER BEEN BACK I GOT 4 MORE YEARS TO RETIRE THEN BY U.S. I BELIEVE I GET FREE LAND NOT SURE
Can I buy a golf cart there, and if so, about how much would it cost? Also, any Amazon deliveries? Thank you!
Hey yes you can! About $7,000 for a used golf cart
@@WillMitchellBelize Thanks.
Why you love Belize so much?
What's up with the "approved foreign currency" ?
Do Belize only want QRP applicants from a select few countries ?
Can you qualify for the retirement program and still purchase investment property?
Yes they can!
@WillMitchellBelize Awesome! Very interested and plan to head to Belize in December. I'll be contacting you soon.

Yep many people choose to go this route!
Great channel, thank you for all the info. Question is that income for a single or will it be double for a couple?
2000 for the household
Great info
Thanks as always, Cassandra!!
If I generate 24k in crypto currency and convert to USDC or something like that, would that qualify for this program?
Do they honor Medicare as a healthcare for age 65 and older
@@WillMitchellBelize ok, welcome, do they honor Medicare in Belize???

Hi will, as the video was published one year ago, is the retirement Visa still offered as today May 2024?
Check out the new video we’ve done with the tourism board on the retirement program
Hi Will. Does going the QRP route quicken the path to getting Belizian citizenship?
Is the $2000.00 per month for each person, or does it cover a couple? My wife and I are considering Belize for retirement.
$200 per month per person. Great question, Mark!
Is that gross or net
What is the cost for qrp. An can you renew it annually
You did not mention Canada in the long list of countries where people can come from to retire in Belize ….
Canadians absolutely can come
Yes he did. Commonwealth country. Are you new here?
