Lilly! Don’t quit on your business now, you will feel reenergized soon, just ride the wave of self doubt out. Take some time to think and don’t make hasty decisions. You have an incredible business and following. I mean anything you do is amazing in my eyes - you have the best personality and you are a talented baker. You will land in the right spot sooner or later, be kind to yourself.
Love from Canada, a fellow microbaker ❤. I started my business because of you!!!!

I am here for your personality, so anything you are passionate about, i.e. cooking, travel, recipes, healthy habits, exercise, sprinkled within your micro bakery vlogs, sounds good to me.

Maybe working for another bakery for a period time would be an opportunity to continue doing what you love without all the stress. You have taken on an awful lot and worked so hard. With someone else providing the structure and new learning opportunities it could be a win win situation. Best of luck whatever you decide to do !

Wishing you the best in 2024 Lily! Good to hear you are ooen to teaming up with an established bakery. Folks dont realize how stressful self-employment can be. Rewarding yes, but also challenging. Regarding content, I would love to hear some financial realities of a micro-bakery. I can find very little solid discussions on income that can be generated from a cottage bakery. I'm considering expanding from hobbyist to business, so trying to nail this down before making capital purchases (like a Chandley Pico Plus). Thanks ❤

Your baking is the interesting part for me, whether for family, to sell or explaining recipes. And visiting all the bakeries with you is such fun! Your allergies and how they influence your baking is very informative. I would like to learn more about your ezcema and any holistic approaches you might try. Oh, you have me starting to drink matcha lattes!

Totally understandable. But this is only a temporary setback. All in all you should just do what you love :-) I am here for the baking and I was fascinated that you can start a small bakery from home. Thanks for letting us into your live :-) Take your time.

Hi Lily! In response to your question: I began following your channel because I'm most interested in the micro-bakery aspect, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of content about that online. As someone who has experienced a wide variety of skin issues and food sensitivities, I think hearing about your treatment approach, could be very interesting too. Overall though, how you built your micro-bakery, how you figured out how to scale your recipes (from one loaf to 20 loaves) would be the type of content I'd be most curious about. Also, a budget breakdown (are you able to make a profit? How long did it take you to be profitable etc.) would be very interesting. Thanks for all that you do and good luck with all the exciting things that lie ahead for 2024!

Hey Lily! Just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your videos - they are so calming! I would be gutted to see the end of Lily's Loaf. You've worked so hard over the years to make the business what it is and I really admire you for making your dreams a reality! I would love to see more cooking/recipe videos and maybe some more sourdough technique/method videos. I love baking sourdough myself but I am a complete amateur in comparison to you, so would love to learn more! Any suggestions for leftover sourdough starters are also really needed!! Wishing you all the best for the future :) x

I came here and watched to see your build your small business in the food world. I stayed to see how you and the business evolved over time, catching your stories. I think if you also filmed your food interests, and even the trip to Holland with your sister and also showed Dutch bakeries and foods you discovered I would still watch and it would still keeep your audience watching. If you explored the world of food that interests you, even if you take the j ob. I also really enjoy the tempo and music you use in your videos. The overall mood is really good

More staging at various bakeries for longer periods of time would very cool to see.
Your lifestyle stuff is cool too. Life in the UK, dogs, things you like or dont like.
I also really enjoyed your experimenting and trying to perfect recipes, like the vegan croissants. More of that would be great to see.
Whatever you choose, sending good vibes for it.

Hello Lily and so sad that your long awaited bakery and coffee shop, fell through. As I always say, what is meant for you, will wait for you. There is something bigger and better just waiting to greet you, with open arms. What can I say in regards to your wonderful informative content on "ABSOLUTELY NO COMMENT" but in answer to your question, how about the inclusion of BOBBY HOMEMADE TREATS. It would be interesting to see how these treats can be made with ingredients you are not allergic to. It would also be fun to see Bobby testing these goodies out as well. Enjoy your time with your sister, in Folkestone.

Are you shutting your business down because of this setback?? Don’t give up! I want to see your RUclips follow your journey from home micro bakery to successful bakery/coffee shop. If you can’t find a commercial premise for a coffee shop what about next step small factory space and still continue with deliveries or pickup from there till you find the right lease ….. xx

Dealing with Lawyers generally is debilitating (I do it all the time) and it's no surprise that it's been a bit soul destroying when you have a rosie outlook on the business and your plans. What you have to do is treat them for what they are, a service provider who you are paying. They are not gods. Tell them what you want and make them responsible for making sure it's done. Or find another one, they are literally a dime a dozen

Hi Lilly! Honestly, I love anything you post, but I would definitely love to see some content about those lovely walks you sometimes post on instagram, with your cute dog 🥰 I don't know, maybe you could film a day off work, kinda thing. Anyway, I hope you keep posting because these videos are just so calm and peacefull ☺️

Also, no one really has anything to do with your decisions, but I hope you don't give up on your dreams because of this setback...I mean, you have come so far, you inspire people so much...life is going to throw some rocks at you but you should keep going, I'm sure you'll find some other place to open your little bakery! I'm not even from the UK but if you opened a bakery near my home, I would be there every single day eating something delicious and having a nice coffee ❤️ The only reason I'm saying this is because I've been in a place in my life where I needed a little push from the people around me and I was very lucky to get that, so maybe that is what you need right now...a little push, to keep building your dream!

I have eczema. I had it as a child, but I pretty much out grew it through diet. No sodas, dairy, perfumes directly on my skin that includes detergents and body soaps, meats because of the antibiotics they give them, and processed foods. aloe Vera is very good for ifch both topically and internally. Cool bath with a hypoallergenic fragrance wash that has oatmeal in it. Glycerine soap is good too. That’s what I did as a child. I still use caution about soaps and food, but now, I can eat whatever I want but in limits to avoid becoming acidic. I love coffee, but I drink it once every month or longer because I don’t want to get in the habit of over consuming. I hope this helps

Hi Lily, I don’t usually comment, but I have been following you since I started my research on which oven I want to buy for our small bakery I plan to roll out for my wife’s organic food farm. Our rm2020 is to arrive this week btw 🎉 but thats bot why I wanted to place a comment.
You triggered me talking about eczema - breab/baking was more of a hobby, but “irl” I am a classical homeopath in Leiden (near Amsterdam) and treat plenty of people with severe eczema/allergy’s and my advise would be to find a good one in your region. If done correctly it can help really a lot. If you want to know more about it you can always ask!
Be well and love your channel!

So many questions, where to start? My biggest concern is your allergies and how that would work in someone else's bakery. I'm sure they have established product lines. Is there any dangerous conflicts for you. Also, importantly, you have created a successful "Brand" around your allergies that is the whole premise for your bakery. If it is their desire to open a second location, following your business model, and you held the reins with little to no interference, it could be a blessing. Otherwise I see conflict. Don't give away what you have worked so hard to create. Though my primary interest is to follow your growth in the business world, a window into your personal life would add depth to your channel. Remember working for someone is completely different than working for yourself. Often it becomes their way or the highway. You've earned better.

Hi Lily, I’ve been wondering for quite awhile, but up until now thought I should mind my own business, is there a light industrial area on the outskirt of London where you could rent a space? This is happening in Sydney & some new adventures are proving to be quite successful. Or, like Julius, would you be prepared to move away from London to set up a business in a regional area? I’m sure you’ve explored these ideas but I’m interested to hear your thoughts. Frances

so unsolicited $0.02 - food based allergy causing eczema - can also be auto immune reactions - and the flare up completely points to stress of business decisions and the out break. -I am speaking from a similar place with stress induced alopecia areata outbreaks - learning to let go of things not in my control etc etc helps... has the food allergy been with you since infancy or is it relatively new - for example when you became vegan? interesting because vegan diets are sometime the suggested 1st step to combat eczema. i wish you luck because Auto Immune illnesses suck big time... answer to video content- I like the recipes thats why. i watch....i wish you good health but for me secondary to the actual baking - bc i love food and baked goods...
