- in the rolling hills of France stands a magnificent structure that has seen civilizations rise and fall. Built in the 13th century by knights this castle hosted esteemed businessmen, eminent personalities, and renowned poets who found inspiration within its walls, over time the castle just became too much to maintain ultimately becoming abandoned with everything still left inside like a true time capsule.

If I could do anything in the world, I would travel and see different styles of architecture and homes from different eras. Turns out, I’m broke and stuck in Kentucky 😆 thank you for bringing us these videos. They kinda allow me to escape and see parts of the world I’d likely, otherwise, never have the chance to see. You never fail to impress!

Alabama here. The room you went into off the kitchen would have been a Butlers Pantry. The small staircase from there would have led to the Servants Quarters. Beautiful place!
Loved the video, beautiful castle. My favorite was definitely the huge display cabinet in the beginning. Gorgeous. If I can though, please go a bit more in depth. I would’ve loved to see the stable, even though it’s empty. And inside more cabinets etc would be great to see

I first saw this jaw dropping castle when Explomo, Moreno and Ramon, explored it and still is one of my top 5 European spots. This history held within the library is incredible!!!

Great Chateau. One point...those antique keys are often called Skeleton keys but it really means a special master key shaved down to the minimum needed to turn the lock. "On a skeleton key, the serrated edge has been removed to allow the key to serve as a master key to open many different warded locks within a specific system."

I'm from Alabama. Beautiful explore. My favorite was the huge piece when you first came in. The dishes displayed were gorgeous.The piece was massive, such a waste to be left to go down with the castle. Beautiful pieces throughout the castle. I can't imagine the beauty when people were living there. I love this explore.

I think the room with the birdcage off the kitchen with a door to the outside may have been where servants butchered wild game and domestic animals.
The cabinet in the kitchen, the “bat” bed, and the stone staircase are my top 3 favorites.

13th century keys were often up to one foot long! they had various length and were heavy, and the woman of the house wore the keys of all rooms on her hip

Indiana here. Love your videos, I have seen this castle explored by Adam and in the little girl's room to the right of the bed is a door that takes you to a small like play area it is cool. The door blends in with the wall.
I noticed that panel!! Theres a crack above the panel that makes it visible as a door ...I was yelling at the tv telling him to check there (no one ever listens 😸) so thanks to your comment I now no wats behind door number dammit look behind there!

Did a little research after seeing the family crest in the castle, I guess it's the Bardon family crest on the left and I'm assuming the family crest on the right symbolized two families (marriage) but I'm not sure. Letum Quam Lutum is loosely translated as death before defeat.

Awesome place! MO. Bat poop is called guano. It looks like bird poop on your windshield just bigger piles. Be careful if you are someplace where there is guano as it very dangerous to humans. My favorite room was the library with the second being one of the other rooms on the main floor. I would say the "other" room would have been like a parlor. I could picture a grand pianos, couches, chairs, little tables...people listening to someone play the piano while others are chatting & playing games. My mind went to daydream heaven on this place! I think those rooms with several twin size beds in the rooms could be the servants rooms, cause a house that size had to of had for sure.

Hi there! I've seen some of you're video and i love them. In some, where you visite old castle and mansion you've notice some strange things like double kitchen, double staircarse but one is metal and spiral and so on. The more elegant parts are the owners living quarter and in the other part is the maids, stewards and midwife living quarter. And the midwife or in french "la nourrisse" as the baby room attached to hers.
