- Maybach is... Back?! With the Most Gorgeous Cars ever designed, the Vision 6 Coupé and Cabriolet!
Here’s an exclusive look at the future of both Mercedes Benz and Maybach design to follow in cars like the future 2020 Mercedes S Class, S Class Maybach, GLS Maybach and perhaps even new Maybach Coupé flagships!!
Debuted at the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, The Vision 6 Vehicles were designed by Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener to display “ultimate luxury” - the name used to describe the Maybach arm of Mercedes, and his sensual purity design language. It’s an EQ Power or EV car, with 738 BHP, a zero to sixty of under 4 seconds, with a claimed top speed of 155 mph and a range of over 200 miles!
The coupé is a gullwing in 2+2 format, harkening back not only to the 300 SL and SLS AMG, but also the legendary 500K SSK! Merging retro and modern in an incredible way. The cabriolet similarly is like the classic Mercedes drop tops of the by gone era, but modern like nothing else.

One of my dream cars next to the Mercedes Vision GT Concept. This also needs a V12 with EQ power, AMG engine.

About three weeks ago this concept was at the Mercedes-Benz Showroom at the Odeonsplatz in Munich. I saw it in person: STUNNING does not even begin to describe it. I was mesmerized by it and images of the red 500K Spezial Roadster + 300SL “Gullwing” popped up in my mind. Mercedes’ need to make this. THEY NEED TO! 😍

Thats insane. cars like that make me want to go into the electric car era. I would not buy any current electric car that currently exists, cuz of sound and the fact that the world has not gone all in into electric which creates some inconveniences. But if cars start to look that futuristic with that kind of style, its retro-futuristic, i would buy electric and not even look back. It just suits that car so well. Riding silent and looking like a space ship. Where if you see an e63 amg you have to be bonkers to put an electric engine there. This particular car though would still be great with an W12 or V12 with EQ power.
Please please please may this actually go on sale looking exactly how it looks now

We have a bonnet large enough to fit a WW II aircraft engine under it, let's make this an electric car and design some fancy suitcases for all that empty space. :D Seriously though, staggeringly beautiful. There are way too many cars that focus on making sense. If you can afford a Maybach, you can afford being unreasonable, why not just go all in? Also seriously, someone at AMG has to take this and make a Black Series version and stitch two of their 6.2l V8s together, just because they probably can.

So what you're saying is that they came up with a new grille that distinguishes the Maybach cars and they're gonna plaster it on normal Mercedes cars? Just like how they've been doing since forever. You pay a million euros to get an SLR and some peasant has a similar looking SLK with 1/100th of the price. Bravo.

If I don't make a mistake, the last V12 engine was built for a special edition of the S63 or S65, I don't remember

@@jonathan6665 hmmmm not so sure, petrol, gas and diesel is not the only thing that can burn. Batteries are not going to be the future, and new energy source will come. And whether it will be giving electricity for electric engines or being burned we do not know.
The cab looks much better...
We have been reported that is going to kill the S-class coupe and cabriolet after their current generation and I can see why :
- The 4 door AMG GT and the future redesigned AMG SL could easily replace the current S63 coupe/cab as sporty and luxury grand tourers by AMG.
- They're making room for a fully luxurious line-up of Maybach coupe and cabriolet in the future
Certainly one of the most beautiful cars ever. It reminds us some iconic Zagato designs (Ferraris, Mazeratis, Lamborghinis, Alfa Romeos and others…). But making it all electric is the recipe for the disaster, as people who buy electric don’t really like cars and absolutely don’t care about character and design (i.e. millennials and other “green” brained folks). Potential buyers are certainly car lovers and would like to see a nice V12 under the hood (or at least a powerful V8) and those are the kind of people who will NEVER buy an electric car (me included). If Mercedes launches this beauty all electric it will be a total commercial failure.

Hopefully Mercedes will grow a pair and make this happen. I mean, people buy hideous things like the Rolls Royce Wraith or Dawn or the Bentley Continental. Make this and surely it will sell more. This is stunning

Have you seen the fucking size of that thing............................. Its a full on luxury car that has some performance. Tesla is pretty much just an empty shell with shitty materials. You can't compare those.
