The new MBUX Hyperscreen have thanks to artificial intelligence a display and operating system adapted completely to the user. It will make personalized suggestions for numerous infotainment, comfort and vehicle functions depending on the situation. 😉
I’ve sat in one of these and it’s just plainly uncomfortable to be in compared to my S Class Grand Edition. Until they wake up and put Mercedes luxury in the electric cars, I’m not interested in sitting in one. Mercedes must know what S Class customers want and that they couldn’t care less about screens. We want comfort and reliability for 4 years, at which point theses vehicles start to go wrong in all manner of ways.
Automotive industry is in constant tempt to invest so much effort and money to something, which Google already utilize, scanning physical boards in the era of GPS and full time internet connection seems to be a bit odd, just use Android auto and say, OK Google, and your gonna know whatever you desired to, and yeah, it works almost anywhere around the globe, with unmatchable database of fresh information about everything.
If you want to learn how to design a real interior that is not aimed at 12 year old kids at an arcade hall but instead is non distracting, relaxing and the easiest/fastest to read, like what should be the case in a car for adults, then look at your own old designs from the 70/80/90's.. Then you will also learn what actual luxory is and how quality feels. Hint: Its not a giant iPad touch screen surrounded with creeky/flexing, thin/brittle feeling plastics.
@@MaticTheProto Yes if you want things that look "cool" and "flashy" maybe. But not for any practical reasons if you're actually going to use the car on the road. Also, there is 0 reason for any sane person to prefer bad material quality and creeky cheap feeling platsic over the old solid feel.
@@martinsvensson6884 there’s arguably less plastic in Mercedes today than there was 20 years ago, plus it looks way better nowadays. And believe me, anyone who knows how to use touch screens will prefer the modern interior. It’s not just flashy but also way more practical. If you wanted buttons for all the offered functions then the interior would look like that in an airliner cockpit. For instance no automatic car really needs a rev counter. Even in the a class you can just switch it out for a map so you don’t need to look at the middle display. And even less tech versed people shouldn’t have any issues as it isn’t required to know all the features to drive and everything important is always on the screen. And you can literally drive using the HUD alone.
@@MaticTheProto No there's far more plastic now. And the worst part is that its extremely cheap feeling plastic. Even the w210 that was said to be a low point for MB is far more solid feeling inside than for example a w212 already. Not to talk about much worse w213. Haha no :) Noone that is going to actually drive the car, and is a sane person, prefers touch screens in place of regular buttons. Its highly unpractical. Its objectively a worse and more attention grabbing way to control things. So doesnt belong in a car. Even if your 12 year old self thinks is "cooler". But that type of people shouldnt be MBs customer base. You can use screens for settings that you do once. But not for things that you use while driving. The problem also is that the new instrument clusters looks like an arcade hall. Extremely distracting and the information is very unclear. Its chaos. You cant even find things quickly. Look at an old w124 or w140 for example. How clean, clear and easy the instruments are to read. You only have to glance down from the road and you have already read them. Screens are very stressful and tiring for the eyes also. Especially at night. Older MB:s didnt even have a rev counter. But if it had one it was always smaller than the speedo. It can be useful though to be able to see the revs. Then you know some things are ok with the engine and gearbox.

Why don't we have the hyper screen in the GLE plug in hybrid ?
So they put a badass spaceship interior….. in a Prius? Looks like a $120k Prius. GL with sales.
Hope one day we will get extended wheel version and luxury just like the petrol s class

You are welcome! 😊
@@MercedesBenz also why are the w212's seat control on the door in my country its the normal one?
We confirm that our models can be equipped with the adjustable seat controls inside the door. Please refer to your dealer for more details. 👍
Besides screen size , What is the advantage between hyperscreen and normal MBUX?

Too much screens and informations disturb the driver.
Less is the best.

As someone who has actually seen a modern Mercedes interior, as well as the old interiors, I much prefer the new designs
