OMG! I've just learned a great trick from you " no noise it's open, noise it's closed" Thank you. BTW the short set screw is to avoid it getting tangle with the insulation when it turns.
Hvac contractor wanted 1200 to replace this! Thanks for showing how easy it is to change.
You have really helped us; thank you for posting this video/info. Much appreciated.
Thanks for sharing 🍻
Great video, thank you so much 😊
Should the ac system be turned off before installing the motor or does it not matter?
Also how can you be sure that the valve is open once you replace it? The system in my house doesn't have the big hole that you can look through like yours.
Any feedback would be helpful, thank you.
This might be my problem my upstairs vents barely blow, but my downstairs blows hard af. I have 1 updated dampener motor but a 2nd old one mayb that's why!! They changed the 1st one but left the 2nd old one
Great video! Can you explain what that red button is for? It has 0,1,2,3 selections?
I have the same question
@@Klove1024 Based on my recent experiment, I've found that the red knob controls the damper's opening in the "closed" position. Setting 0 means it's 0% open (or 100% closed), 1 is 16% open, 2 is 33% open, and 3 is 50% open. So, when the knob is at position 1, the damper is fully open when it should be, but it only closes to 16% open when it's meant to be closed.
I have the same question is this so that you can set it to stay slightly open when fully closed?
@@alvarezz09 Yes, that is correct!
Thanks mine stays open and basement gets cold while its working its way up to the 3rd floor
With the new motor can you manual adjust it as well so when it’s fully closed you can have it still slightly open?
Yes it is adjustable. You can have zones opened when closed , three different angles.
where did you buy the dampers bro ?

Why doesn't the red OPEN light turn on? I have the exact same dampers.
Red light means it closed .
Mine has two lights. The one for open never lights up when it's open.
Also, when the thermostat is off, should it close he damper or does it stay open? My garage thermostat is off, but I still get AC out there when the main floor turns on.
@@HeavyMetalSonicRM need replace the damper
Is that a gas furnace?
Yeah. 90% furnace. Look closely , the exhaust vent is actually the big pvc pipe coming out of it ......it's more efficient vs the regular ones. It's a communicative system with a ECM blower motor which allows it to adjust the airflow/cfms according to temp....
