He owned any and every stage he walked on ....
..and the audience...
The man is in a completely different category; another universe. There’s never been another and never will.
Prince from another planet! 🌠

Of course you are right!
I just quoted the headline of the
New York Times, after Elvis 4 sold out concerts in June, 1972!
The journalist Chris Chase wrote:

@@alameas6358 Hi, I was just playing ;-). that was a wonderful quote from a hardened journalist, wasn't it?

It absolutly was! 🌠
This was the greatest music special in American History. He then went straight into live Vegas shows which he killed no one compared to him EVER
don't forget aloha from hawaii
@Chris Ellsworth
This is so true!
Many people don`t realize that it was Elvis who has lifted musical performances in Vegas to the next level. Other performers are profiting from his achievements to this day. (Well, Covid Lockdown excluded). Las Vegas has written Elvis Presley all over the place. VIVA Elvis :)))
I watched this live, (A singer Sewing Machine Special! :p) at my friend's house. And my friend's FATHER , who had been in WW2 LOVED Elvis. :)
Elvis the GOAT
He was and is the greatest entertainer of our time and probably will be forever! He was so cool!!
you are absolutely right 👍✌👑
Dani i agree totally. The 68 comeback special was peak Elvis. He was in great conditon vocally, physically, personally and just totally in form. From the live stage stuff (My fave is "Love me") to the very produced montage of film songs ("Let yourself go" is my fave there), this was possibly the best show by any entertainer or group ever. Elvis was just the best, i have always been out of place with how much i admire the guy, being born in the 80s i knew NOBODY growing up that shared my interest in Elvis but as time goes by it seems his popularity and reach actually grows. Really wish he had been around to see it.
Great
Sexiest man to ever live on the sexiest night of his life. Nobody will ever top Elvis on this night. I would have dropped dead if I had been in that audience. (I wasn’t born yet. Lol).
The power and charisma of Elvis decades later is unparalleled
It really is. No one is on
His level
If u want to design the perfect rockstar I think Elvis at that point is that rockstar.... Sex appeal in the black leather is off the scale..... I think Elvis that's the way it is shows Elvis the showman.... The versatility of the songs and his developing stage act and the Hawaii show is the pinnacle of a music superstar.... A musical icon.....
This was an incredible performance! The look the voice the charisma! Fantastic! 😎🎼🎶🎵🇨🇦
I agree that 68 was Elvis at his best. He rocked his early songs better than he did in the 50s! In his later concerts, he does faster tempo medleys of them. I like this better.
Agree with you 100%
4:07 The growl alone crushes the competition.
Looking at him in this special it is hard to imagine he wanted to cancel it last minute.
He was so nervous...
he thought because he had been away from performing for
about 9 years he would not be accepted. The producer guaranteed
him that if he went out there and was just himself
he would absolutely
be accepted.How
wonderful for him and us that he took the producers advice.....talk about
feeling the love❤❤❤❤❤❤🎵🎶🎸🎤
Imagine what we woulda missed out on!

Again..the coolest person God has ever.
If ever an entertainer had the "total package", and at the right time, it was Elvis...
If a person wants to know the definition of cool, just watch Elvis in the 68 special.
Yes this special is so so good!
Crazy but female and male fans love this guy equally !!!
Elvis being a guy one would think 60-70% of his fans would be female but he has his male and female fans who love him to death.
Love him and his singing.
Nervous guy they say before concerts but the crazy part is he's so himself and natural.
When he feels the love of the fans at a concert that's when he feels safe then he just becomes Elvis.
It's a great song and he's having fun.
He's enjoying himself.
It's like. a love fest ...
Your so true ...he always handled situations on stage like a fly buzzing around his soup...swat it away and keep eating.
This special has Elvis doing lots of his Christian stuff too.
Ya know it's sincere too even though ya know Elvis is a womanizer in real life.
Yes he was a saint and very sincere in his love for God but he got tempted and it was the weak link in the chain for him .
99% of girls I think would fall for Elvis if they were in the temptation ...
Well said !!! A love fest that lasted his lifetime and beyond....he is truly
UNFORGETTABLE.❤❤
Awesome video
His best look ever, and he had a few! lol
33-YEARS-OLD here and AT HIS PRIME !👊🏾
I've never seen you smile the way you did when Elvis came on...your to cute....Long Live The King...
He indeed came back to show all the "newbies" on the charts why they called him the King. Remember, he only had a few good television shows that were quite tame from what he was doing on the roads. The Beatles, Stones, Doors, and all others were literally kids when Presley was cutting through Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, and throughout the south during the 54-56 years. He put on shows with a whole lot more than what we saw on the Sullivan show or any other show at the time.
I think he effectively told the world on this night there was no need for a bunch of music driven songs and I'll prove it. Just him, leather, and the voice.
So true!!
Dani, I always thought that the '68 Special was the GREATEST thing Elvis ever did. And another thing the way Elvis played the guitar, I thought that was overlooked by many. If you ever get a chance to see the complete special, all the sit down shows, the stand up shows, the opening sequences, the outtakes, everything. There is just so much to this Special. It is totally incredible.
@Mark I'm talking about the way Elvis played the guitar in the "68 special, since that is what i'm talking about from this video. I know he also played the piano !!! Dah !!!
@@frank8838 Frank, I know what you are talking about because so many people say Elvis couldn't play the guitar since he used it for a prop so much. When in actuality he could play very well.
@@markmacdonald8512 Absolutely Mark !!! People just have to watch the sit-down shows from the '68 Comeback Special and they could see how well he played the guitar.
My God!!!
I really like this song, the 68 Comeback Special is my favorite .I have it on Dvd.
If I had a time machine and could use it only a handful of times, I think I would spend one of them to sit in that audience!
I can listen to elvis everyday .and I do.
You are not alone! 😊
@@alameas6358 well..that makes at least 3 of us....lol❤❤❤❤❤❤🌻
You know when I see the smile on your face, I think if he was here today in his prime, to me was the 68 come back. He would be the king in this era too. Guys dont go around saying things like this, but he was the coolest and best looking man to ever walk this earth. I would love to look like him and walk into a room full of women👍🏻😃😃😃
ME TOO.
une bête de scène vive le King merci Dani pour ce morceau superbe ❤❤👑👑😘😘
Great song from elvis
This is a great show and he looked so great his voice is fantastic he could sing anything. No one comes close to Elvis. Love him always.
Miss Atkinson, a side note to this particular segment of the show, the gentleman playing the tambourine was Lance Legault. He appeared in four Elvis movies. ( Girls Girls Girls, Kissing Cousins, Roustabout and Viva Las Vegas ). Essentially all were mere moments. While a fairly successful character actor, his voice work was of bigger note. Considered a good friend of Elvis, it is also noteworthy that at one point he became the audio tour guide for Elvis Presleys Graceland. Providing background information to various aspects of his home, automobiles, airplanes and private collections. Once again, my appreciation to yourself. Your enthusiasm and appreciation for this man's work is a reminder of just how powerful and timeless his contributions to the entertainment world and beyond continue to be. Mike Beal
speaking of his movies this show made up for all the crap parker had him do = just elvis being elvis=mel
To see and hear elvis. Is to love love love love. Him. He is so addicting. You ain't listening to him. 1. X. And that is it. No no no way. It ain't happening. You will follow him. He was the brightest. Star. In the whole world. He even didn't realize why the girls. Were screaming. He got on stage. And acted. Natural. That is pure raw. Natural. God given. Talent. With the annointed voice. Yes he was a shy humbled. Country boy. With a god lovin soul. His mama said to him don't ever forget your. Roots. And he never did. So so so so sweet. Never. Be another. He owned that stage and audience when he did that walk he does. I can see your reaction you love love him. Ok. Enuff said. God bless you and be safe
I love how he stretched his voice out and the echo in his voice. Such range
No words He is unique
Do memories from the 68 comeback special. It was awesome
Love this song, and elvis brilliant just Brilliant, why oh why did we lose this great singer at such a young age , bless him .
Nobody was ever better then Elvis was from the 68 special. There aren't enough superlatives for his performances as he nailed song after song. Despite be over 52 years ago, Elvis still looks timeless and unbelievably cool. I'd like to request Mystery Train/ Tiger Man from Vegas, 1970. Here is the link, ruclips.net/video/asN0iLQCcKY/видео.html. Your reactions are great, thanks again Dani!!
His raw talent and emotion definitely comes thru strong in the 68 comeback special.
Awesome to watch 💥💥💥
I was 18 years old when this TV special aired. We hadn't heard much from Elvis for several years. At the time, I must say that I was underwhelmed by the special. Maybe because, I was used to seeing the early Elvis. Today, watching it again, I am just blown away with how great this special is.
I was extremely blessed to see him in concert. It was and remains one of the greatest things I've ever experienced. When he walked onto the stage the entire auditorium changed. Time stood still and he sucked all of the energy out and then gave it back.
My dad treasures the memory of seeing him in concert!
Your right it is just like TIME STOOD STILL. It is something you never forget.
@@DaniAtkinsonYou need to do Trying To Get To You from the same special.
God new what he was doing when he sent Elvis Presley to use. He made the world a better place. I am happy I grew up with him.
This is from another world impossibe

I was 6 years old when this was on and we watched it and loved the whole show. Elvis had a voice like no other person he could sing any song any style of music he truly was the King
Hi Dani, this Elvis 68 Comeback Special was the most watched TV Special that year. And now, 2020, we are still watching this show or segments of it on youtube or DVD! In my opinion this TV Special is the best TV SHOW ever. ELVIS music and memories of this man will never ever die, as long as we keep the memories alive! DANI, so you do your part of that, so thanks again, for your charming reactions of the videos from THE king! Please react to THE MEDLEY FROM THE 68 SPECIAL: HEARTBREAK HOTEL/HOUND DOG/DON'T BE CRUEL and also from that show:
CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE,
LOVE ME TENDER,
BLUE SUEDE SHOES. Thank you.
Elvis' close friend, Jerry Schilling, once said, "Elvis didn't try to be cool, he just was.".
Baby what you want me to do are fron comeback special 🤘🤘🤘
This part of the show was based on Elvis's jam sessions with the guys. Steve Binder would see and hear Elvis jamming and said that he had to put them in the show somehow. The 68 comeback is iconic. So iconic that NBC did a special tribute to it on it's 50th aniversery.
Elvis reassembled his original band for this show.
"THE KING".....................
So beautiful and so handsome.
WOW ! What is a Show Amazing 😍 👏👏👏
He is the prince from another planet!
I was watching on my phone the show Elvis lives. I have the DVD and it is very good. It says it was played around the world Japan England Germany. And everybody loved it. Today I watched on my phone the Sao Paulo version. Everybody was applauding I love it. I guess Elvis is still the king no matter what language
I agree this special was just that SPECIAL he looked great felt great and of course sounded great. I also like a lot of his 1970 live shows he was still on top of his game. This special was so up close and personal so you get to see him as a person. His humor his personality his charisma and his swag all smack you right in the face. Great job reacting you just get Elvis. ❤️❤️ from UNCLE. J MAN
I love each and every song from start to finish his life.
Hi Dani it's Dave, your reaction to one night with you was great Elvis and his music back then ws incredible and still today it never seems to be out of place meaning it's still as refreshing to hear. I personally feel his music what a talent. Please Dani keep doing what your doing its so nice🎶👍
Love you Dani.

You can't beat Elvis in the black leather god he was so sexy awesome of course stay safe 😷✌

The most handsome man to walk this earth, and what a voice.
We've got to remember this was 52 years ago, unbelievable 👏
Great reaction stay safe
Thank you so much for reacting to one of my and many other requests on this 'Satuthursday'! 😉
I know that you tried "Trying To Get To You"!
Ha, you tried trying to get to you 😂
But seriously, i know that it got blocked, but this one is also a great one! Have you ever seen such a cool but hot guy? Absolutly amazing!
His matured, raw and rough voice made him a rockstar!
Not only the King of Rock'n Roll anymore, the King of Rock!
It actually was the sitdown sequence, but he was like a tiger in a cage, he has to move, he must move!
He did and the plug got pulled,
but no problem, plug in, his little boy smile! and he went on! So What?
What he did in this show, after 8 years making movies, was awesome!
Like you said, actually everything from this show is great!
Btw, i'm very familiar with this show format. The small stage and the audience very close.
Here in Germany we had a very famous music show called DISCO.
It had the same format, with a small stage and the audience all around.
It was aired from 1970-1982. When i saw the Special for the first time i thought that they stole 'our' show! 😆
But i would change 12 years DISCO into the Elvis CB Special immediatly A little chair somewhere in a corner only to look at him......heaven!!!
I must come to an end, i know but when it comes to Elvis....... 🌟🌟🌟
Thanks again Dani for this Saturday gift. Hugs and love to you, take care and have a nice weekend! ☀️🌻
Only one question, have you ever seen the Comeback Special Bloopers? 12 minutes only laughter with Elvis! So funny and we know how silly he could be!
A must for every CB Special fan! 😁
Thank you Dani for your introspect , your obviously a young lady and we need more people your age to discover and honor this incredible man.
This version makes me swoon! All the takes that didn't make the tv special really show his artistry, his grit...what people were drawn to in his early days!!
Every woman wanted him & every guy was jealous...but then he is the King!
All I can say is goooorgeous man. Beautiful voice too!! I agree with you about the 68 comeback special is my favourite too
Elvis
Crying in the Chapel
Crying in the chapel great song early 60s voice was at its best so was his health
Elvis had the moves and at that time, nobody moved like that. I am 86 and remember. Even when he shook his shoulders, girl's went crazy 😂❤😂❤😂❤
He will always own me...completely.
The 68 comeback special was supposed to be a Christmas show, but Elvis and the director had other plans
Thank God
I first heard Elvis in 1956 as a 12yo when my female cousin played her copy of the Heartbreak Hotel single.
I was rapt..until then the popular stuff was Nat King Cole, Perry Como etc and while great singers, not in the same league for entertainment or charisma as Elvis. As a male, Elvis was my hero and I have remained a fan since then.
I thank you for helping to keep his memory and legend alive.
Cheers and best wishes .
Awesome set up with the split screen. Much success, you are a sweetheart!
68 Special is also my favorite. Elvis was Vocal God.
The one thing about Elvis is . His VOICE!
I might have told you this once before the best concert from Elvis Presley 1970 Vegas the best ever
I am a huge country music fan and I live in Nashville, so I have been lucky enough to attend the Opry a number of times. Bill Anderson is one of country music's biggest stars and he is a member of the Grand Ole Opry. When I went it was mostly in the 60's and back then the Ryman Auditorium, where the Opry was held at that time, was not air conditioned and in the summer, it would be sweltering hot, and the windows would be standing open to let in any stray breeze that might be stirring. Of course, with the "cool air" that came in, also a lot of bugs came in because there were no screens in the windows, and they were especially attracted to the stage because of all the bright lights on the stage. One night Bill Anderson was singing, and a bug flew in his mouth. He merely swallowed the bug and kept on singing. Elvis when his guitar became unplugged and Bill when he swallowed the bug knew enough to just keep going because they were true entertainers and they had learned that "the show must go on!"
There was Elvis.....and then everyone else.
He stands alone.
GREAT job on this reaction. Elvis rabbit hole...good one :)
I love an honest and very personal review of ELVIS..I can tell that YOU are real !!
You’re reaction tells it all, you love him
That’s OK you and a million other women feel the same way
My absolute favorite!
One of a kind talent
No one above The King 💫
Another gem Dani. As good and as raw a performance as this is, I actually prefer his rendition from his 12 August 1970 midnight show. Elvis really was on fire during that show and it was the second song in a six minute fifties segment, featured in the original "That's The Way It Is", and in that there are still traces of that rawness in his voice. Thanks again for another super video Dani.
I too prefer the version of ONE NIGHT from the original That"s The Way It Is.
He was like a caged panther yearning for release. "It's been too lonely too long." That line repeated several times had its meaning taken over by the sentiment of "I've been locked away in these largely stupid movies. Now I can finally get in front of people and entertain which I have always longed to do." He still had to do a few more movies after the Special, but he could taste the freedom that was about to be his --no more padlocks.
You took the words right out of my mouth Tim!
He finally left the cage and you can see it on his face!
His joy to be surrounded by his old friends from the very beginning.
His joy and freedom to sing what he want to sing!
I'm so happy for him, that he could do this show.
It literally saved his career!
I hope you're doing well my friend!🌻🤗
@@alameas6358 We are of one mind on this Alamea. I'm fine. I'll let you know if I need help with another German song.
Most of the movies were not bad .... Tim .... People keep saying that .... Because they heard it so they passed it on .... Yes some were just to get movies out .... While the iron is hot as they say .... No-one knew if he would stay on top as he did .... The big reason was Parker's Gambling debts .... As Elvis grew, so did Parker's gambling debts ... And his personal bank .... Yap .... The king himself .... I tried to find the video I saw YEARS ago where Elvis told his dad and Parker he would always owe Parker no matter what .... Elvis was true to his word .... He did know some of those movies were just for Parker .... But Elvis .... Being Elvis did them .... Elvis was always great in those movies and did not let his fans down .... Parker did .... But he did not care .... He had become a gambling fanatic and had lost lots of money on the tables .... In that video it said one night he lost .... IT ALL ... What does that mean .... ? A-Lot for sure anyway .... I wish I could find that one video that had it on there .... But I would think it has taken it down ....But I will say I thank GoD .... We have every bit of his talent recorded were-ever it is displayed .... Be it a SO_CALLED ] Bad movie or not .... He was- is-And-all-will -be -the Greatest ....BIG N ....
