You’re not telling us anything we don’t already feel! Love your reactions. Elvis was an angel in human form. There’s no other explanation for the voice, the looks, the range, the charisma, the heart, the humility. Everybody feels it. That’s why he’s The King. Even the Beatles and other big stars of that time were in awe of Elvis. I’ve been listening to his music all my life. He died when I was 10 and I did a tribute song at school for him. I’m 52 now and still am in awe of his voice and songs and the whole presence. Glad to see young people learning about him and falling in love with him as we did so long ago.
I was 24 years old when Elvis left us. So I remembered watching the '68 Comeback Special' Live when I was 15. He was Truly Phenomenal!! He is Sorely missed! 😔

I was 13. I can't remember actually when I fell for this man. What I do remember is I used to call him Tickles and I would sit with my ear placed against our jukebox because I believed he was in there. So I basically been in love with him forever. I wrote him a letter when I was 6 telling him when I play house he's my husband. I received a Christmas post card back. I learned recently that all of his fan mail is still at Graceland. It made my ❤ melt knowing that.b

in 1974 when I was 12 years old my father came home with the Alhoha from Hawii double vynil album,I looked at the man in the album and tought who is this guy ? a couple of months passed my parents went out and I went to the record player and put the 1st disk and was immediatley drawn buy the Also Sprach Zarathustra introduction and then see see rider but only when he sang it's over was I struck deep inside. I switched all the lights in the room closed my eyes and immagined to be Elvis singing to the audience and I felt all the emotions and feelings that he felt.I become an Elvis fan ....when he died I was 15 and for 3 days I could not eat only cry and still today at 58 I am deeply touched and having lost him is like an endless desert without any water. Hearing you talking about him with such feelings moved me because you expressed all the things I kept inside. Thank you because you to have become special to me .

I'd like to see your reaction on that some time. Elvis was here in Vegas for 30 days straight and done 61 concert appearances. Any one can do the math!!! Artists today will tell you that their bodies and voices could not hold up to that, with the high energy and dancing that he puts into his performances!!!

Jane H commenting …. Elvis was a superstar, but he always remembered his fans & loved interacting with them, even if that meant holding up things for a few mins. Elvis did all of his own musical arrangements. There are some great videos on YT of him in rehearsals, where we can see him singing up close & personal. I am very glad that I was alive when Elvis was alive, & although I live in New Zealand, I think I must have seen most of his movies during the 60s, & got to see him performing ‘Live’ in his Aloha from Hawaii 1973 Live Concert, which was the first Live Concert to be beamed around the globe. Dani when Elvis died, I was a nurse going to work when I heard Elvis died. I was so shocked. I went in to get report and I cried during it. The younger nurses were like...why are you crying? Elvis is so over....tried to explain that I felt my youth died that day. Shrugged shoulders, eyeball rolling. I could hardly work through the tears. Miss you Elvis but through your eyes, you have helped him become alive once again. Thank you more than you know.

In 1992 when 'The Lost Performances' was released on Home Video we caught a glimpse of Elvis performing songs on stage that many of us never knew had been performed live. In the days before the internet and with the Elvis bootleg CD circuit still in it's infancy it was rumour, speculation and articles in fan club magazines which fuelled our imaginations.
One of my absolute favourite Elvis songs since I bought the original album back in the 70s. I had exactly the same reaction as you to 'just pretend I'm holding you' 😂

Great reaction Dani! I especially love watching Elvis at the International Hotel 1970 Vegas Shows. He was in shape and very handsome. The 68 comeback special he looked his best. I've seen all his movies and watched many videos on RUclips. I can never get enough.

Jane H commenting …. Elvis was a superstar, but he always remembered his fans & loved interacting with them, even if that meant holding up things for a few mins. Elvis did all of his own musical arrangements. There are some great videos on YT of him in rehearsals, where we can see him singing up close & personal. I am very glad that I was alive when Elvis was alive, & although I live in New Zealand, I think I must have seen most of his movies during the 60s, & got to see him performing ‘Live’ in his Aloha from Hawaii 1973 Live Concert, which was the first Live Concert to be beamed around the globe. Dani when Elvis died, I was a nurse going to work when I heard Elvis died. I was so shocked. I went in to get report and I cried during it. The younger nurses were like...why are you crying? Elvis is so over....tried to explain that I felt my youth died that day. Shrugged shoulders, eyeball rolling. I could hardly work through the tears. Miss you Elvis but through your eyes, you have helped him become alive once again. Thank you more than you know.

In 1992 when 'The Lost Performances' was released on Home Video we caught a glimpse of Elvis performing songs on stage that many of us never knew had been performed live. In the days before the internet and with the Elvis bootleg CD circuit still in it's infancy it was rumour, speculation and articles in fan club magazines which fuelled our imaginations.

Great reaction Dani! I especially love watching Elvis at the International Hotel 1970 Vegas Shows. He was in shape and very handsome. The 68 comeback special he looked his best. I've seen all his movies and watched many videos on RUclips. I can never get enough.
