Hi Dani, this is your friend from Texas. I truly loved this! Lol! I really like your "thank you, thank you very much" impression. HaHaHa, that is real good. Keep doing that!!! Another great one is Polk Salad Annie from the same '70 performances in Vegas, probably just as good as Suspicious Minds. Great moves and dancing and Elvis cutting up. Thank you Danny for doing these songs by Elvis. These are songs with the Eternal truths and along with Elvis's great voice has been a treasure for America. And now hopefully you're helping to bring these two a new generation!
Once again, thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Just such a connection and understanding you have when Elvis does what Elvis does, due in part of the fact that you too are a singer and performer, so thank you for enlightening us with some technical things about his voice and how he worked it. it was just so natural for him...absolutely incredible. One of his Grammy's was for a live version of this song from his 1974 Memphis Mid-South Coliseum concert. I have two requests 1968 "Trying To Get To You", 1970 "I Just Can't Help Believin' " (a song my wife and I of 20yrs had our first dance at our wedding on the beach of St Lucia). Again, amazing job!
Thank you - I can't explain the connection I feel for him. I try to do my best with analyzing and honoring the King and really diving into the details of him as a performer. Thank you for those requests -- I will certainly get to them!
Dani know this Gospel music was Elvis's favorite to sing and you can hear it in his voice when he sings a Gospel song I'm glad I found your Chanel you're a blessing to me!
I have heard Elvis' version of this hymn many times, and I clicked on it because was curious to heer your musical analysis, AND to see how it affected you,. My curiosity was further piqued when you had not metioned your stressful morning:; even if yoy hadn't mentioned it, it would have been very obvious to me ( and no doubt others)from your demeanour, posture, tone of voice and downcast expression. I fully expected what was to come, but still, it was a joy to behold. I watched the lines of upset steadily disappear from your face, the tenson in your body lessen and a genuine. heart-fely smile return to your face. Btw, it's not yet a crime, or an admission of weakness, to say that something of a spiritual nature touched your soul, as it undoubtedly touched Mr.Presley's :-)
Elvis as a youngster used to go see JD Sumpter and his group perform. When Elvis had no money JD would let him in. Long real friendship. He also sang at Elvis funeral at Graceland
@@DaniAtkinson My mother knew the Presley's and went to high school with Elvis. It's so fun to see you react to the we same things I have thought about since I was a kid. You'd be fun to hang out with and share stories.
Love it when Elvis sings Gospel! Its incredible that the backup singers included 2 of the best bass singers around. J.D. Sumner and Richard Sturban of the future Oak Ridge Boys. Donnie Sumner, J.D's cousin, I believe, is also a great singer in the group. He has an awesome voice. Elvis always surrounded himself with excellent artists. Thanks Dani!
Thanks Dani for hearing this one out. His voice gets more operatic as he aged. Listen to the 77 live version of this song when you get time..... the notes you hit are much closer to opera. His adoration is near completion.
Love it when Elvis sings gospel songs, because they are his favourite songs to see, & he always sings gospel songs for several hours after performing, along with friends & musicians. Elvis sings so beautifully on any song, but he always has so much passion when he is singing gospel. He had a strong faith in Jesus, & always looked so moved when singing gospel. Thank you for another wonderful Reaction.
His Gospel music was always heavenly! I would hear a song he’d be singing & all of a sudden I’d be crying for no reason. His passion was what reached people’s souls. That is so rare to feel what a singer is feeling. I have yet found it today. As Michael Bublé said once, his “throat was kissed by God”. Thanks for your videos.
Hey Dani I Just Love The Way Elvis Presley Sings Gospel Absolutely Divine From GOD !!! . Just Like His Dad Vernon Elvis Presley Said On His Headstone He Was Truly A Gift From God !!! ... Elvis Once Said My Voice Is God's Will Not Mine !!! ...
I saw him live in 1974 and THIS is the song that I most remember him performing. Bless your heart and Happy Heavenly Birthday to Elvis January 8th - 2022
Thank you Dani for playing this beautiful gospel song. When the concerts were over he would sing gospel music with his backup singers for hours. It relaxed and comforted him ... You can see he feels what he sings.
That is a great performance of the man! I got a request for u, I'll remember you live in Honolulu 1973. It's a great song. His Hawaiian friend Kui Lee wrote this song, I believe for Elvis but I'm not 100% sure? Any way he dedicated this song to him. Kui Lee died from cancer in 1966 at the age of 34. I would love it so much if you will comment this video. And of course with the story behind. You really can see Elvis singing this song with so much love for his friend who died prematurely. This shows that Elvis really was pure. He had deep respect for people and of course for his dearest friends. Love to see your video soon. I love the way you are comment the videos with real sincere love. Sincerely Gordan
Elvis grew up in the pentacostal church but as a child he was also welcomed into the black christian churches near his home.. His mother was a woman of deep faith & Elvis carried his love of god & gospel music his whole life.. That perfomance Elvis had The Imperials as his backing singers one of his favorite gospel quartets as a child.. The only grammy awards Elvis ever won were for his Gospel Albums. It was well known that no matter what hour day or night he could be found at the piano with some of his singers & friends just singing Gospel songs nonstop. He even went so far as to have the nephew of JD Somners ( his bass singer ) create & then employ a group of 4 singers Called Voice Incorporated whose job when called was to fly to & check into whatever hotel Elvis was at & then when called .. come to him so Elvis could sing gospel songs & his band & stage singers could get sleep. Elvis had a Gospel record collection like none other made up of every album produced from every solo singer duet quartet & group that he had heard of & had listened to every one of them at least once. Elvis found peace joy & happiness in singing Gospel & he never was afraid to let others shine in the spotlight.. One tour Elvis went to The Imperials & asked If they would do him the favour of being his opening act.. They said yes of course. Glad you got to see and experience him singing this
I can’t get enough of his voice. I have to be honest it starts getting hard for me to watch his videos from 1972 going forward because you start to see his health to start to wear on him even though his voice never left him till the end. I’d like to see you react to these Elvis songs. I know your gonna try to do SUSPICIOUS MINDS when you work it out so in the mean time. 1) YOU LOST THAT LOVING FEELING LIVE IN 1970 2) COME ON EVERYBODY FROM THE MOVIE VIVA LAS BEGAS 3) THE WOMAN LOVES ME ALSO FROM THE MOVIE VIVA LAS VEGAS Love you comments and the passion you have for music especially in a legend like ELVIS Keep up the good work👍👍
Yes, you can see in this video he has a little bit more weight on him. But his voice was still sooo strong. It'll be hard for me to watch anything towards the end. Will get to those for sure!! Thanks Uncle Joey, love you!
When Elvis sings gospel, he puts his special gift in it. And you can feel the love he has for God and you can feel Heaven coming down all over you. He never will be forgotten.
You may have already heard them but if you get a chance there are 2 songs by Elvis that he dd in the movie G.I.Blues. "Big Boots" and "Pocket Full of Rainbows". They are not as well known but 2 of my favorites out of many. Have a great night, stay safe and see you at the next video.
Another great one Dani.. Thanks for sharing.. Can you do these three when you have a chance.. 1) My Boy, 2) What Now My Love, and 3) Don't Cry Daddy.. These 3 have that special, in the Zone quality like the ones you already shared..
At 3:38 JD Summer hits that LOW note .... That is what Elvis's look was about then ....Elvis loved how low JD and JD son could go .... Elvis smiles Giving JD the respect right back to him As JD respected Elvis .... Many Many video's show him and Elvis trading notes .... sorta speak .... BIG N ....
Man even the young ladies in 1973 were awestruck by this guy. What does that tell you!! No two ways about it. The king. He attracted people of all ages. Even til his untimely passing.
Elvis was soo passionate about music especially gospel music...a great song and performance...TLC...can you react to the songs proud mary (1972..live) & Never been to Spain also (1972..live)...Thankyou very much....TLC..TCB
Some think Elvis was less of a musician because he never wrote any songs, But.....what they don’t give him cudos for is his complete and beautiful mastering of his backup singers, band, and orchestra. Even tho there is Joe Gurshio as the conductor, Elvis always controls amazingly perfect cutoffs to every song. If you don’t believe me, watch carefully You Gave Me A Mountain Aloha from Hawaii and see him look to his left as the last note holds for connection to conductor. Then Elvis knows there is always a delayed reaction to his cutoff so you can see he double pumps the cutoff and nails the end. You can see this on other songs (Bridge 1972) in many different ending styles. Pure musical Genius!
Thank you. Love your. Reaction. To his gospel. That is what he loved to sing. And he put?his sweet sweet sweet southern humbled soul. Into every gospel. All for God. Thanking an praise g thru his music. Also for his sweet God loving mother. He had the spirit of the lord. When he was a you boy on the ed Sullivan. His mother wanted him to sing a gospel? Song for her. Well TV producers said no. He said. I'm singing for my mother or. I'm not going on. And he did sing it. You didn't tell him. No. God. Blessed him for the world. He has drawn people from all countries together in love. He is the world bellsheep. Rex humbard s. Wife prayed with him. And she said she paid all the time for hin to be a bellsheep. He never forgot his roots cuz his mama told him not to. He was an ANymber 1 son. He loved god an loved his mama. So so so so much. God bless you dani and be safe. TCB
At 3:40 when he smiles and shakes as if the shivers are going up and down his spine it’s because he loves JD summers deep base voice. Also JD sumner had the lowest bass voice in the world, he could go 4 notes lower than the lowest key on the piano. Elvis truly loved that guy and bought him his very own tour bus so he could travel in style with group The stamps quartet.
When Elvis recorded this song he had never heard it. So Ray Walker of the Jordanaires had a hymn book in his car and he brought it in and Elvis read the words and recorded it one take.
When spoke of his facial expression saying how he was acting like he was singing & how in tune he was. The funny smirk on his face was due to J.D. Summers cause of deep base in his voice. Elvis always was amazed by J.D.'s voice
During one of his vegas shows someone yelled out you're the king Elvis, he said thank you I'm getting ready to sing about him and sang how great thou art
Hi, I would very much appreciate your reflections on Elvis’ What now my love v/s “What now my love with the philharmonic orchestra. The latter being professionally overdubbed with the orchestra. Thanks again for your efforts.
Another cool little thing about this: Richard Sterban, the incredible bass singer of The Oak Ridge Boys, is seen at the 3:22 mark. I believe he's singing baritone here, but he can crush those low bass notes like JD, too.
As a musician myself, I really like how you observe and pick up on a lot of things. And I to notice that not just gospel music, for example also when he does in the ghetto which is serious subject matter, he does transform and have this gravity and humility about his delivery. Totally the opposite of Polk Salad Annie and suspicious minds and so forth. And yes, that is borderline operatic at the end, and if you haven't already reacted to it or heard it, he kills a cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water. It's also quite operatic near the end. You could also throw what now my love and my way in there in the same vein. Luciano Pavarotti once said that if Elvis hit had any classical training, he may well have been one of the Great opera singers. But at any rate, Paul Simon heard Elvis do this song at Madison Square Garden and basically threw his hands up and said, well it's Elvis's song now! m.ruclips.net/video/mLbOBoa8vD8/видео.html

Aw wow, thats powerful.
Elvis certainly knew how to end a song the passion and emotion he put into that performance amazing stay safe 😷✌
That was an incredible ending! Thank you, you too!
Gosple songs were Elvis Presley passion. The rock a roll he sung we're just for his fans. This is the real spiritual religious Elvis Presley.
Loving the way you appreciate the man and his music.
Thank you, Kevin!!
Beautifully articulated... Elvis lifts your spirits or satisfies your emotions! ✌️❤️
He changed me whole mood!
Thanks Dani for hearing this one out. His voice gets more operatic as he aged. Listen to the 77 live version of this song when you get time..... the notes you hit are much closer to opera. His adoration is near completion.
Wow thank you!! Yes, as he got older he sang with more bravado!
Elvis is and wasThe greatest that’s all I can say they will never be another Elvis
One of the greatest Gospel Song written. The Old Rugged Cross by Elvis is another Gem delivered by The King.
Elvis never recorded The Old Rugged Cross. There are some recordings out there that sound similar to Elvis but it is not him.
I will always cherish his 1966 version of the hymn. It was beautiful and reverent.
I will check that one out!
Wow that is such a true quote!
Elvis'music and his movies can lift me up out of a bad day for sure❤
Has the same effect on me!
I can't find any Utube videos or others of Elvis singing Blue Eyes crying in the rain. I would like to hear you analyze that song. So dynamic.
Thank you for playing Elvis Presley 🙏 good song love it 🙏
This is my all-time favorite song!
Thank you Dani for
playing this beautiful
gospel song. When
the concerts were over he would sing
gospel music with his
backup singers for
hours. It relaxed and
comforted him ...
You can see he feels what he sings.
I wish I was there for those sessions. He was just the coolest.
The best performance of this song ever!
You are the best in your reactions, great attitude!
This song gives me goosebumps every time
Very nice his voice got stronger has he got older he is like no other star 🌟 🌹
His voice is so distinctive!
Elvis had the greatest drummer!.. Love watching him. He gives his all. He always gets the biggest applause when Elvis introduced his band.
Elvis loved Gospel and he loved to hear his guys sing it.
Elvis sings How Great Thou Art, and when you think the song is over, he sings the last verse again
He was something like that! Always full of surprises!
Have you thought about doing a duet with Elvis like Celine Dion and Helene Fischer?
@@phillipvaldez5990 I love that you said that! Yes, I have thought of it and I am working on it!
@@DaniAtkinson can't wait to see it 😊
@@phillipvaldez5990
Do you like Helene Fischer and the duet with Elvis?
Thank you very much ❤️
Elvis grew up in the pentacostal church but as a child he was also welcomed into the black christian churches near his home..
Glad you got to see and experience him singing this
Bravo to you and the king!!!
Dani, thank you, thank you very much, for doing these videos!
That really made me cry. He is so in it!
My favorite genre from Elvis is all of them. Haha
Mine too!! Hahah
Bravo KING 👑 THE MOST BEUTIFUL VOICE THE MOST BEUTIFUL MAN.
1) YOU LOST THAT LOVING FEELING LIVE IN 1970
2) COME ON EVERYBODY FROM THE MOVIE VIVA LAS BEGAS
3) THE WOMAN LOVES ME ALSO FROM THE MOVIE VIVA LAS VEGAS
Love you comments and the passion you have for music especially in a legend like ELVIS Keep up the good work👍👍
Yes, you can see in this video he has a little bit more weight on him. But his voice was still sooo strong. It'll be hard for me to watch anything towards the end. Will get to those for sure!! Thanks Uncle Joey, love you!
Isn't it the lady loves me!!🤔🤦🏻♀️
When Elvis sings gospel, he puts his special gift in it.
Aw, great, I definitely want to watch some of his movies also! Have a wonderful night! Thank you for always being here Randy!!
the greatest singing voice ever recorded
Another great one Dani.. Thanks for sharing.. Can you do these three when you have a chance.. 1) My Boy, 2) What Now My Love, and 3) Don't Cry Daddy.. These 3 have that special, in the Zone quality like the ones you already shared..
Great! That sounds awesome!!
NOBODY HAS NOR EVER WILL MATCH THE MAJESTY AND TALENT THIS MAN POSESSED.
And he gives credit to the ONE TRUE KING
Who blesses us everyday.
Great song, great performance and a great reaction.
Listen to the 1977 Elvis in Concert version of this. He looks unwell, it was 6 weeks before he died, but the power in his voice was even greater.
Oh wow, will do!
Love your reactions you are beautiful and very talented and very smart
Thank you so much!!
BIG N ....
I was wondering who hit that low note!
Man even the young ladies in 1973 were awestruck by this guy. What does that tell you!! No two ways about it. The king. He attracted people of all ages. Even til his untimely passing.
Best version ever...
Thanks
I loved it!
I love singing this!!
Elvis was soo passionate about music especially gospel music...a great song and performance...TLC...can you react to the songs proud mary (1972..live) & Never been to Spain also (1972..live)...Thankyou very much....TLC..TCB
I LOVE the song Proud Mary...I know that Elvis covers it, but I've never seen it! You read my mind!
♥️♥️♥️♥️🎼🎶🎵Excellent!
A powerful performance
Hi Dani I'm a huge Elvis fan I love your videos and channell x
Incredible!
He is a super. Genuine genius. Plus the dull package. An more more
3:37 Elvis reacting to JD Sumner (Bass Singer) hitting the low note! Chilling!
When spoke of his facial expression saying how he was acting like he was singing & how in tune he was. The funny smirk on his face was due to J.D. Summers cause of deep base in his voice. Elvis always was amazed by J.D.'s voice
Takes your breath away.
Truly!
Excellent review! You are beautiful and very knowledgeable! I'm a Hughe Elvis Fan!
Thank you, Marty!! I will check it out!!
What a powerfull song
He LOVED J.D. Sumner (bass) and would sing with them at home many nights a week!!!
A great gospel song performed by a exceptional artist. Thank you for your comments Dani
O elvis my god you are my life loved you since I was 5 years old my god
Elvis Gospel, yes!
If only these Young kids of today would Belief in the Lord again!
I know they would be a lot happier.

The Lord was using Elvis through the song. What you were feeling was God's peace and His love for you.🙏❤️🌹
yeah gospel was definitely his specialty
Your voice is so sweet
My favorite gospal song from elvis! Did you know the only awards he won was his gospal albums.
It is incredible!
Elvis was an incredible performer!
Hi Dani, great song and reaction. Elvis is Great. If you get a chance check out his songs The Wonder of you from Las Vegas 1970 or I'll Remember You from Hawaii 1973. Beautiful songs I think you will like . That's my request, you choose . Take care 👍😀
Thank you so much!! Will do!! I’d love to!
THIS is how "Great Thou Art" is sung.
You are so pretty Dani💖😇
I would love 💘 to meet you someday you are gorgeous💋💖😇🙈🙊🙉😁
Mary Christmas Dani have a blessed night💖💋🌈😇
Elvis is no longer an "old " outdated singer or so called legend.....Elvis is a historical figure. A great one at that. And that greatness has been unmatched ,yes even with mj lol, till this day. Elvis by his first name alone is a national and worldwide historical treasure
He is incomparable, truly! I agree! I believe MJ was influenced by Elvis as were many others!
@@DaniAtkinson I'm glad that many artists were influenced by Elvis. It gave the world even more!! Elvis will forever be the king of music and influence. He wasn't a perfect person. None of us are. But he loved what he did,he did it everyday, and he was great at what he did!
