Agree100%! Saw him live at 18 months old! It was at a club in Sedgewick, Arkansas, and It was a club called Bob Kings. We lived in a dry county. It was Elvis and Johnny Cash. Unfortunately I can’t remember!! 8:08
He had the voice, the looks and most importantly, and what many people forget , he had a magnetic personality. You can have the first two qualities.... but, if you don't have a personality, success will be illusive.
This is a true story, I have an older sister who loved Elvis beyond comprehension, she was a few years older than me, anyways back in 1956 or 1957 or so, she was 10 and I was 7 years old, we went to the local movie theater to see "Lover Me Tender" when it first came out. My big sister wanted me to go with her, I liked him too, I actually saw this performance on ED Sullivan live back then. I remember during the movie at the theater there was so much screaming by the girls you literally could not hear the movie soundtrack. Here's the good part, the girls got so excited that some girls were passing out in the isles and were having to be carried out to the lobby to recuperate. I bet I saw more than a couple of dozen girls pass out from screaming and just being over excited! It was, to this day, one of the most amazing things I ever saw! That was what effect Elvis had on the youth (girls) in this country back in the day, had to been there!
The year was 1972 when Mom said you're going with me to a concert I asked who and she said Elvis Presley I said No I don't think so I was in two Black Sabbath, led Zeppelin, and Bruce Lee I walked into an event mink stoles, diamonds beautiful women men in tuxedos, limousines. When he got on stage his energy is charisma his stage presence blew me away I was in awe after that I had seen many many concerts over the years that was still the best concert I've ever seen I have never seen another performer do what he did that night best concert I ever saw.
Young Elvis was the real Elvis. Right to the end, young Elvis was always there and would be waiting to pop out... especially in Elvis" last days. RIP Elvis
This is my favorite Elvis song. There's something about the way he sings this song and the emotion he pours into it that I truly love in a profound way that goes beyond music. I love music and I love Elvis but then I hear Love Me sung by Elvis and for those two minutes, I am connected to life in a way nothing else connects me to life. If I weren't in the safe presence of my fellow Elvis fans, I wouldn't say that but I know here that it goes without saying that how Elvis makes me feel and how I love this song is impossible to put into proper words.
The young Elvis was "UNMATCHED" his style, his skill level, his swag n his voice r " UNEQUALED" 43yrs since his death n still no one has come close to DETHRONING " THE KING OF ROCK N ROLL"
I love this song to bits. I am an Elvis and needless to say that I`ve seen this Ed Sullivan version many, many times. But watching your reaction to it was just precious. I had to watch it again so that I could concentrate solemnly on you :))) You are expressing exactly what I feel when I listen to him. The fact that you are so very young makes it even more enjoyable for me. Just wonderful. Thank You, dear Dani :)
Dani, I’m 71 years old and love everything about Elvis Presley. A lot of people my age keep telling me that Elvis’ draw is going to fade away after our generation is gone. But, when I see people of your age react the way you do, I know that Elvis will never die. His attraction will never fade. His fans will never forget. It was fun watching your reaction to one of my favorite Elvis songs. My wife loved it too.
Elvis Presley changed and talks about his past, but he has his fans in his mind....As you listen to Pastor Bob Joyce (Elvis) in this video when you go to 10:15 he hints about his life before! Interesting isn't it? Here are the words that he says (go to 10:15 in the video): "There is something about this man, that is so appealing to me. That I am not going to concern ... I'm not going to concern myself with what I was and what I had before. Because Jesus makes a difference in my life. There is something about Jesus that causes me not to even be so concerned about my life that I had before. Or my problems or whatever it is that I had in life. Suddenly things have changed, my mind has changed, my affections, my ah ... interests has changed. I'm not interested in how many fish I can catch today. I'm interested to see what Jesus is going to do next. Can you imagine walking with Jesus everywhere you went. Listen what I am telling you this morning is reality." YOU Always on His Mind by Pastor Bob Joyce ruclips.net/video/iYt-TN3M2YU/видео.html
lf Love Me Tender was followed by Jailhouse Rock on the radio back then? How could you believe, without it being announced that it was the same singer on both songs? Phenomenal!
Elvis was a comedian. It came out a lot in this performance. He was doing a parody of himself and other Do Wop groups of that day. The rock group Led Zeppelin went to one of his concerts in 1974. Elvis was aware of that too. He said something to the effect "Hey Led Zeppelin is in the house tonight. We've got to get it right." Robert Plant and others went backstage after the show and spent hours talking with Elvis. Of course they were big fans of him. Elvis asked what song in particular was Robert's favorite. Robert replied "Love Me." As the group left the room Elvis sang part of the song and Robert did so too back and forth. What a send-off, huh?
I think the word you’re looking for is “free”. He hadn’t been jaded by critics at this point and he just had fun and played with the music so freely. His enchantment is effortless! He just oozes sex appeal and sincerity all in one. No one before or since has been able to make you FEEL every note of every word. Ah! My heart! 💜
My parents are in their 80s and yes, Elvis is one of their favorites. They played his music when I was growing up and it became in escapable in the early 70s-mid. We all know Elvis is the King of Rock and thats coming from a guy who came of age in the late 70s and rocked to all the super groups of that time, but at the end of the day, its Elvis and his voice, his style in not only presenting himself on stage but as a real person in general..Elvis is a true blue American hero.
Dani, I LOVE watching your reaction to Elvis. You are so authentic and sincere, never change. You are now my favorite RUclipsr. I wish you the very best. Much love
Dani, thanks for reacting to this video! Elvis was so young here (21) he still had blemishes, but incredible charisma and looks. Who else could make women swoon just rolling his eyes?
Sure, he had blemishes at one time. Didn't we all? But, leave it to a male to find something to negative to say. He looked beautiful in this performance.
Thanks for the Elvis Presley video.. He was extremely affective! And addictive! 1 of the finest men that ever lived.. His face was pure perfection and his voice & stage presence, was unbelievable!
I have been a huge Elvis fan all my life. I can see that you really feel his music and his sound and his persona in the same way I do { we do}. You get him and for someone of your generation that is so cool!!!
That's exactly how I feel about him since I was a little child. Love his voice, love his moves, his faces, his appeal. There is no other, there will never be

Couple hundred years from now... people will still be squinting at these black and white vestiges of early television and still marvelling at the creative vocals of this early rock n roll icon. Less is more..and he got them wanting more doing that..I think he invented the term, "leave them wanting more"..because he sure knew how to do that..His passing away had the same affect I think because He is still being talked about and I dont think he will ever be forgotten...Which is fine by me...I think I was born in the wrong era

Hi Dani it's called charisma and Elvis had that in spades as well as his god given talent to sing, you know you cannot get enough of him and there is more to see especially on all these videos that keep coming from people filming him on stage.
It's always great to watch you, watch him "at work"! 😉 It's like looking in a mirror for me. Same feelings, since 45 years! 💓 As you said, he almost didn't move, but these little moves are on point and your/our hearts starts to dance! 🎶 🎶

Yes, indeed, true gem. Some simple lyrics, with all the Presley add-ons.
Simply the best. ❤
Can anyone imagine having a voice like this at 19 years old. The man was a gift from God. Love him.
And the devil took him down, ugh. He left a catalogue of music for us to forever enjoy tho.
A gift from God is truly the only way you can explain him.

He is perfect
No one like him. Never will be. Just perfect and handsome
How in the heck did he remain so comfortable and natural on stage?? He’s *live* on the Ed Sullivan show for heavens sake!
Elvis was one of a kind
If his twin brother hadn't of died, he'd been two of a kind. Double the greatness.
Is! IS one of a kind! Elvis Presley is alive! look up Pastor Bob Joyce on RUclips. Look at the photo overlays and above all listen to him sing!
Thats what makes Elvis the greatest ever. He literally had everything.
