Dani, I was 16 and at this concert.. Had Tears in my eyes when he finished this song.. Even at the age of 16, I was still aware that this was a love song, yet Elvis wasn't singing for or to a woman, 'he was reaching out to God to bring him home.. I get tears just thinking about that.. Yes, I have gone through periods of anger as to why others didn't try to get through to him..
@@DaniAtkinson He didn't have to like he did in the 68 Special or Aloha From Hawaii.. His Presence and his voice was so overwhelming and powerful, that all he had to do is just be there.. Goose Bumps, Cold Chills took over and that was it..
you know they did try right? point is that no one could stop Elvis from creating his own damnation, you can't tell a 42 year old man "hey don't do that or no that's not good for you" that easy.. also Elvis was depressed and tired.. the drugs, technically medicine numbed the pain
Nobody will ever have that kind of charisma and magnetism again. This was his last performance, 43 years ago, and it still blows people away. Greatest of all time.
He single handedly changed an entire culture but unfortunately became a prisoner of his own greatness. A once in a lifetime talent that gave everything to the world.
He squeezed every ounce of that God given talent he had in him to give the crowd the performance he knew they wanted to see and the performance standard he had for himself. Him, Micheal, Freddie had that pure God given gift of voice and performance and they tried to give that gift to the public to the highest standard till they died. The more i see Elvis' performances the more respect i have for him.
This performance always gives me chills, and makes me very emotional. Knowing he wasn't feeling well, and would be gone in just mere weeks. And to still put out a performance like that. Jesus. What a man.
This song is the perfect interpretation: even with his health totally decadent, it was the proof that God never abandoned Elvis, did not embarrass him, no matter how bad his health was; God helped him to take everything out of his voice and show the world what was truly a divine talent. Exciting ... I can listen for hours and cry for hours, I will never find meaning in the music of any other artist that goes beyond this interpretation of Elvis. Hugs from Brazil!
@user-sr6fi8wf1p It's your opinion, my friend, and I respect it, but I totally disagree, because no version of this song sounded as beautiful, sad and powerful as in Elvis' voice, which is actually much more powerful and moving than Bobby Hatfield's voice. I never liked Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers, I always considered it too soft (however, it's a matter of personal taste and, just as you have yours, I have mine). There are people who like the softer and more romantic tone of The Righteous Brothers, others, however, prefer the romantic sound echoed by a stronger voice with a more dramatic air like Elvis' voice sounds in Unchained Melody.
@user-sr6fi8wf1p Friend, I don't care that Bobby Hatfield, he was a countertenor, congratulations to him; however, Elvis was a baritone, he had an extensive vocal range, reaching three octaves and is considered by international critics as one of the best, if not the best voice in popular music; and listening to both, Elvis' voice sounds much more pleasant to me, not to mention the drama he gives to the music, which is extremely inspiring. As I said, there are people who prefer the softer version of The Righteous Brothers, but there are people who prefer the more powerful version of Elvis, and denying that Elvis' voice is more powerful is animalistic. I don't care what Dani thought of the Righteous Brothers version, since the video is Elvis' version, which, for me, will always be the best and favorite. If you want to talk about your love for the .... version, go talk about a video dedicated to them. Hugs from Brazil!

Someone once said that this song is meant for a love that hasn't been seen for a long, lonely time, but on this particular night, Elvis seemed to be crying out to a much higher power. What a shame to lose him at just 42 with so much left to give, but then again I feel like he gave us all he had of himself. I still get so emotional when I think about it, yet I'm always comforted by remembering these two lines from the epitaph on his tombstone.. "God saw that he needed some rest and Called him home to be with Him." RIP Elvis. The world should could use a little Elvis about now.
@@brentstevenson1484 Yes, i said he gave us all of himself and only meant HE wanted to do more...make a credible motion picture, perform in Europe, but of course we know how the colonel not wanting him to share top billing with Streisand for "A Star Is Born" and the fact the colonel was an illegal immigrant would always keep him from opportunities like that. Take care.
Still gives me chills, how could a man struggling to breath and speak sing like he did wow! Actually your reaction mirrors my thoughts as I am writing this in real time time to your reaction. There's a moment when Elvis looks up and he looks so like Elvis! Thanks for the unbiased review, love from Blyth, Northumberland, England. FYI this was not his last concert, his last show was roughly a week later in Indianapolis on June 26th 1977
OMG I just can’t - even as sick as he was with breathing issues and all he never lost the passion or his talent. 💖💖💖💖💖💖 To me, that little smile he gives is almost like saying “ I can still do it - I still got it”. I’m 65 now and I remember when the news came out everyone I knew was shocked because we had not heard anything about his health really,
Dani… oh Dani! This video made me cry! I have seen this performance so many times, but seeing your reaction to it, and your words, all combined to the video of the performance, made tears falling down my cheeks… I’m 35, and I have loved Elvis since I was 7… I mean really! He was dying here, and it is so darn hard to see… So, darn, HARD! Your video made me feel like I got to share this moment with you, or actually, you shared it with me. Thank you Dani! Thank you so much! It really means alot to me, more than I thought it would. Love love love all your reactions to Elvis and his music… I’m watching it all. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from all the way over here in Sweden, Europe.
Dani,i was surprised, your voice made me fall in love wt you .i thoght to myself if i could have found a😂 woman that loved me like you were singing it,i would have been the happiest man alive .you have a beautiful voice
Hello Dani ! I ran across your video just now & I have to say you touched my heart young lady ! I was 22 when Elvis gave me a job & was there till the end in 77. You brought me to tears as I watched you listen to Elvis sing & what I see in you is your love of the music & artist in your face !! Not like ones in the audience, his fans who so loved him & have been there always ! buy you feel the song & the story it tells !! You have that talent in you that God with all his wisdom puts into certain souls that walk his world. Listening to you sing before the video was so moving & respectful of Elvis you had me there girl ! Never ever give up on your talent that has been given you please ! Reach for that moon & star in your life ok ! Elvis gave me that chance & I have gone on to work & tour with almost every major Rock Bands & some very cool Country artists !! As you said in your video Elvis was so very sick at the end & he knew his time was short, he was advised by many to cancel the last tour but he would not here of it !! He wanted to see his Fans Once more before he left us. If you have not heard Wayne Newtons The Letter, take a min to listen to the song Wayne bought & believed was words to a song Elvis was writing ! In truth Elvis left it where he new it would be found & get to his Fans. Wayne did a great job but it was his words to his God ! Elvis so loved his fans that he shared his conversation with himself & God ! He wanted us to know how much he loved us all but he was done with it all & asked God to bring him home ! He gave so much of himself to the world & his fans that well Dani you get so tired ! Your love for Elvis I will never forget ! hearing you today & I wish you a long & great life, do as Elvis has done Love Your Fans girl they are your rock ! Keep God close to your heart !
Hi Dani, I am a huge Elvis since the age of 6. I am now almost 45. This performance shows the deepest of his heart. When I watch this video I still get tears in my eyes. I always had that deep feeling inside me that he knew that the end was near but never lost his humor. What you told about his fysical condition and what the press told about that was indeed disgusting. Elvis would never done that to others. Any way I still love the man deeply. Elvis Forever
It is refreshing to see a young person, like you, appreciate ELVIS music. Thank you for your heartfelt commentary. You honor him by your heartfelt compassion & commentary.
You hit the nail on the head. This song, in general, just hits different. Then, knowing this was one of the last songs he ever sang, pushes it even further. This version breaks me every time I hear it. He has meant more to me than I could ever put in to words, especially since I hadn't even been born yet. I performed this version at my first show back, after my mother passed away. She is the one who introduced me to Elvis. I'm forever thankful for that. I know my life wouldn't be as full without having him be a part of my life. You, @daniatkinson have an amazing voice yourself. God bless you. Thank you for these Reaction videos.
"THE KING" near the end, clearly not in the best shape of shape , but still delivering with his stronger than ever voice for his ever faithful fans..............Dani you ,yourself have an awesome voice, I am thinking Elvis would think the same, keep the memory of Elvis going with your Elvis reactions. As the "KING" would say himself, THANK YOU, THANK YOU VERY MUCH......
Aww, Paul!!!! What a HUGE compliment! For Elvis to hear me sing would be more than a dream come true! Get ready for Thank you, Thank you very much Thursday!!!
What a performance the king till the very end what a talent he was will never see someone like elvis again he made it look so easy i love to see you sing to your awesome never seen a woman sing it so beautifully like you wow very impresive because your singing next to the legend you can sing beautifull woman wish i wouldve been there live watching you sing
Beautifully summarized, Dani. Every time I watch that performance, I can't help but shed a tear. For Elvis, nothing was more important than performing for his fans. In hindsight, perhaps it would have been best if he had canceled his shows, gone on hiatus, sought treatment and tended to his health. But as a dedicated performer, I don't think Elvis allowed himself to take such a break.
I’m from Louisville, and in spring of 77, Elvis has a show at Freedom Hall,at 7:30. During the afternoon,he was having lunch in his suite, and whomever was with him,got called away momentarily. When they returned, Elvis had either passed out or fallen asleep sitting up,and was face down in his bowl of soup. The security staff came running, and got Elvis away from the table, and laid him in bed. Dr. Nick came in to tend to him. Suddenly there was violent banging at the suite door, and in came Tom Parker, his manager. He walked in the bedroom, glanced at Elvis, came up to LarryGellar and said,” Listen to me. The only thing that matters, is that man is on that stage tonight.Nothing else is important. He sings whTever it takes....”
Dani, I feel the same way you do- amazed by the raw talent Elvis possessed, saddened that his life ended long before it should have, and a little angered that no one stepped up and got Elvis the help he needed. His voice was incredible to the end. YOU have a dynamic, beautiful voice. Thank you for including some of that performance. I wish you the best!
Just discovered your videos and WOW ARE YOU FABULOUS! You mentioned you are an old soul & a sensitive soul, and let me add sweet soul to the list. Your sweet spirit really comes through the screen. You are blessed with beauty inside & out as well as a beautiful singing voice!
His commitment to delivering this song demonstrates his loyalty and true love which is " the song." You know when you love something so much how you take extra precaution to protect and preserve it because it is of such great value to you,. Dani did a good job at comparing how he was before he sang the song, while he was singing the song and after he sang the song and to his dyeing day he never mistreated a song. He would not and could not forsake "the song." It is his love of the song that people, universally, respond to so I appreciate seeing how strong of a relationship he has with a vehicle that gives so many people so much joy and appreciation to his dying days. That says a lot. "The song" is Elvis's spoke person.
Elvis was a national treasure and still is. I truly enjoy how you break down your analysis of the videos you present and allowing your emotions to be free while keeping them in check. Looking forward to the next.
Very beautifully said. I read all the comments and agree with most. It's all recognizable. What else would he have done if he had lived longer? I'm from the Netherlands and as a young child I saw this Elvis in Concert video on TV as a memorial after his death. It made a huge impression on me as a child. Since then I still often watch and listen to his concerts all my life. I'm now 58 and still sometimes sit up late into the night watching elvis clips. What is it about this man that keeps you so involved? Elvis has touched me all my life. We can only respect and be grateful. I'm not very religious but you would hope to see people you love again at some point
Elvis was definitely gifted musically. Probably the perfect music machine. You are definitely gifted also with interpretation and vocals yourself! I'm glad you are doing these videos and get to experience what so many over the years have and explaining the impact of him and his music have had on people over the years! Keep up the good work!
i just came across this. Elvis vocals were great on this song and to realalize later this was his last performace was heartbreaking. anyone wanted too help him at this time could"nt too late. I saw him in concert three times. when he passed like many i was devastated. Watching your reaction too this was heartbreaking. when i heard you sing this in the begining gave me chills , you have a fantastic voice ! i have to find the complete video of you singing this. good by Elvis we're going too miss you!
You are such an incredible singer Dani! What a voice! WOW! This performance is sad but at the same time his voice is still so strong and beautiful! Sad to see him in declining health but it doesn't take away from what he was and the INCREDIBLE life he had and legend Elvis was! What an iconic talent! Simply THE BEST. 🎼🎶🎵♥️♥️♥️♥️
Elvis was an Amazing performer and human being there will never be another! So good to see young ppl like yourself showing interest in him and his music I know you asked for song suggestions Elvis had so many but some favorites hurt, make the world go away , love me , this time you gave me a mountain
This was Beyond great.. This man is beyond beautiful and special. I love this dear man with all of my heart. Thank you Elvis for all you gave to us your forever fans.
Dani, Hi How Are Doing, Great I Hope, This Is Dennis From Portland, Oregon. You Should Remember Me About Elvis Doing This Song And The Unforgettable Reaction You Did On Your Personality View Of Elvis And This Song, First I Have Seen This Reaction Of Yours Over A Dozen Time's And To This Date "NO ONE HAS COME CLOSE TO YOUR INDEPTH OF ELVIS'S VERSION, JUST THE SIMPLE PLAIN TRUTH OF WHAT IT TAKES TO SING THIS SONG, ON QUE YOU LET YOUR REACTORS KNOW A LOT ABOUT YOURSELF, YOU AS A SINGER, PERFECTLY SETTING THE TONE OF REACTION TO THE LESTNER BY YOU SING THIS SONG, THIS REALLY GOT MY ATTENTION, THIS WAS MY FIRST REACTION TO YOU, AND THIS SONG, WAS UNDERSTANDABLE, COMING FROM THE GREATEST FEMALE SINGER TO DO THIS SONG,,, PERIOD!!!, NOW THAT I HAVE GOTTEN THE TRUTH ABOUT YOU AS A FEMALE SINGER YOU HAVE THE GREATEST REACTION TO ANY SONG, NOW JUST TO YOU GIVEN YOUR VERSION OF UNCHAINED MELODY , IT LETS ME KNOW THAT YOU KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO DO IT, I HAVE HEARD OTHER REACTORS THAT CAN SING AND THEY MISSED THE MARK, AND THAT'S THE TRUTH, NO ONE CAN'T DO WHAT GIVE THE LISTNER, NOW THE HARDEST QUESTION ❓ COULD YOU DO A DUET WITH ELVIS, THAT WOULD BE OVER THE TOP, ACTUALLY IT WOULD BE THE GREATEST DUET, OF YOUR TAKES ABOUT YOU SHOWING AND TELLING ABOUT ELVIS'S SPEAKING VOICE AND SINGING VOICE, TAKING BACK AS YOU SAID YOU WERE CAUGHT UP WITH HIS ABILITY TO DO THIS. THIS WOULD BE THE BEST OF WHAT THE SINGERS GO THRU, THE OTHER SINGER IS YOU. THIS VIDEO WOULD BE A LITTLE BIT LONGER, BUT YOUR INPUT WOULD GO A LONG WAY IN GIVEN THE FANS SOMETHING SPECIAL.
Great job, Dani!! Keep it going to teach all. U r young but u r old. The soul..as Elvis knew..is timeless and all omnipresent and omniscient.. Good for you and it gives me hope for the younger generation. I lived it. U love and appreciate it. I appreciate u. Lovely lady..Thxs a bunch!!! 👍
That is gold melting in your throat down to the heart. This man was incredibly gifted. Thanks Dany for expressing my deepest feelings for Elvis and even more the doubts about the sincerity of his surroundings... may he rest in peace and God bless you 😘
These from his last concerts hurt me down to my soul. He was a shadow of himself just a year or 2 before. So depressed and I can relate but such a great hero to me in such a state. Tears me up
Bittersweet knowing what’s down the road but he’s still the best. Wow you have a gorgeous voice. That’s a hard song to do. You’re so talented. Elvis still gave it his very best. God bless him and now and I hope he & his grandson are at peace together with no more pain or earthly worries.
You're reaction impresses me! I'm such a huge Elvis fan and you captured exactly what I feel when I watch this performance. The beauty and tragedy of Elvis is felt right here. Thankyou for being so sweet and loving with your reacton! I'm touched.
With just 56 days of life left...to early far to early. The power but more importantly the control he had over his voice, just incredible. And with youngsters just like you (thank you) , we will never forget the impact he made, and the footprint he left behind, even though he was taken far to early... And to you personally "don't give up on your music" you truly have a God given talent, now you just need to use it in the way God intended it to be used, I mean I'm in Scotland on the other side of the world and I'm listening to you. I don't know if my heart breaks for Elvis or watching a little piece of your heart break as you watch him..Take care and stay safe...
Elvis had a stutter as a young boy and sometimes as an adult, especially if he was nervous. This was 6 weeks before he died. I've heard this I don't know how many times and it still affects me deeply...
@@DaniAtkinson you should visit Graceland in Memphis. He bought it in 1957 and lived there until he died in 1977. He died upstairs in his bathroom. Him and his parents and twin brother are buried in the Meditation Garden there. You can FEEL his spirit there!!! I love your reactions to his music. You feel it in your soul!
Hi Dani....my name is Carole and I am a French Canadian from Ottawa, Canada. I have been an Elvis fan for 61 years....yes, you read correctly. I was 10 years old when I first saw Jailhouse Rock even though it had been out for a while. I was brought up in the military and often we would not get films until a while after their release. I have watched you for about 4 years now and thought I should write to you. I always love your reactions as they are soooo heart felt and genuine, I can tell this through my PC screen. The fella holding the microphone is Charlie Hodge. He was Elvis's right hand man and sang harmony with him and played the guitar with him. He also gave out the scarves and all the other little things that he knew ahead of time that Elvis needed or wanted. I had the pleasure of having dinner with Charlie back in 1992. He told me that Elvis was not supposed to sing that song at that particular time in the show, that is why you see him scrambling around knowing exactly what to do for Elvis. They were buddies since the army and Charlie was with Elvis in ALL his concerts. Charlie told me that he thought Elvis would have a heart attack right there on the stage while singing this song. He would look up to Charlie as Charlie could not help him with certain notes as he was holding the mike, which you can see shake once in a while. The last Album from Elvis "Moody Blue" there are many instances that Charlie would hold the high note as Elvis was no longer able to do so. Most of the album was recorded at Graceland in the Jungle Room. I am now a terminal patient with Cancer and I thought this was time I wrote to you to thank you and tell you you are beautiful and a great singer. I have been to Graceland also but a long time ago. I must say that one of the highlights of my 71 years was having dinner with Charlie....I kept rubbing his back as I knew he was the closest I would ever be to Elvis. Fortunately, I did not wear his suit down...lol...Love you sweetie and don't stop keeping Elvis alive. There is a song that is soooo beautiful called "Forever my Darlin'....check it out...I would love it..😊😪💘💝💖💥👍👍🤏
I have watched a couple of your Elvis videos Dani and I think that they honor Elvis's memory nicely! Ive never been a big Elvis fan but I do know that his significance and importance to the history of rock and roll can't be denied or questioned! Few performances I have seen/watched in 56 years have brought tears to my eyes quite like this performance of Unchained Melody! You can see that Elvis was tired, sick and struggling to keep it going for his fans.. For at least a little while, Elvis was a bright beacon in this otherwise dark world and we miss the light that emanated from him dearly! The world shall not see the likes of him again! Thank you my friend for making a great video even better :)
He should have been in a hospital under therapy. But, here he is doing what he does....entertaining the masses for our enjoyment. Great vocal performance to the end.
@An Oasis Can He was already in the hospital for extended periods during the last few years of his life for near overdose situations. Since it was chronic abuse, yes therapy.
Unfortunately at that time there weren't any addition clinics like we have nowadays and Elvis thought because they were prescription drugs that he was taking that he wasn't doing anything wrong. He was his own worst enemy.
@@helenludlow2331 Can you imagine had he been the first to lead the way with addiction therapy before Betty Ford? He would be here now and be responsible for a life saving cause.

No matter how bad Elvis' health was at the end he could still belt out a song. He was and always will be the greatest entertainer ever. And forever the King of Rock 'n' Roll
Elvis was, is and will always be the world's first and only real superstar.. He was exploited throughout his career but he never sold his fans short even at the end he bared his soul. He was incredibly generous because he never forgot where he came from. Elvis, our gift from God.
As weary as he was at the beginning he put his whole self into entertaining us. You would never have guessed that he had already given so much if you had not seen the beginning. THE KING!!! Thank you Dani.
For the sake of clarity, this isn't quite his final show - this is June 21, 1977 and his final show was June 26, 1977. Dates aside, you have an incredible voice! All best with your singing, hoping you stay safe and well in these difficult times.
Joe Esposito said it like this.just six weeks before his death. He still pours his heart out.To the end Elvis's greatest gift his incredible voice never failed him.
I’m so glad to see younger fans of Elvis that are discovering the greatness that is the King of Rock and Roll. One of my earliest memories was of the death of Elvis. I remembering watching TV and asking my parents what was wrong, and they told me Elvis had died. I don’t know if I clued in because they were emotionally moved by it or what, but I still can see the moment in my mind. Anyway take care and keep on keepin’ the memories alive!
I am a life long Elvis fan and knowing just how bad his health was, I find it incredible Elvis had the strength and will to actually go on tour and perform in front of cameras for a TV special. Elvis should have been in a hospital not on stage.
Dani Atkinson and everyone who posted comments! If I could a little back story! Rehab in 77 was nothing like it is now! Elvis was hospitalized for no less then 7 time, in Vegas and in Memphis, in the end, his nurse in TN was hired to be with him, these hospital stays were to ( help with his addiction) but he was getting them there as well! there were a few people who really tried to intervene, Priscilla was trying but her contact with him was made limited and begged him to cancel the final tour. There were 2 fired bodyguards that wrote a book in 76 about what was happening with Elvis and it just crushed him! they stated it was written to try and motivate him to make the changes he needed to make! Ginger Alden his girlfriend at the time of his death! I’m not sure how much she did as she had moved out of Graceland prior to his death. And as you stated that maybe there were people who could of done more ( The Memphis Mafia) it really isn’t controversial these guys took there orders from the Colonel no matter the cost get him on stage! So there were factions in the camp fighting to do what was right and others who he was there meal ticket, Elvis new who cared and who didn’t! That alone must have been hurtful, with all he did for them. He was so broken and so lonely by this point he had no passion and the fight was gone! Maybe if earlier on he took more control, Lisa Marie and Priscilla had multiple wrongful death suites filed! Enough of all that just wanted to give you some in site of the back drop of what was happening! That book really devastated him from what his fans would think! In the end we were blessed to have him and seen him! The greatest entertainer ever!! My anger comes from the ones who really tried to help and were pushed out, what if? What if Elvis could of helped himself?Hope this is not rambling but a lot of facts I felt I had to be said! You’re keeping him relevant and as a huge fan I thank you! Let’s keep passing this remarkable man to other generations! God bless, you’re a talent in your own right! Great job!! By the way My Mother was a huge Elvis fan, I was seven or eight years old at the time and she took me to see him in New Haven Connecticut, I still have the ticket stub! I just remember him being awesome, Thanks for reading and again for all you do! Ted
First, what an incredible job you did! Wow! Thank you for sharing That! Second, Thank you for your very emotional, very real reaction to this song. Recorded just 6 weeks before he passed, his incredible voice never failed him....
Thank YOU so much, Roe!!! You can catch the full video on my channel, I also linked it into this video! This performance brought up so many emotions for me, I can't believe how close it was to his passing - -breaks my heart!
Dani i was 18 when he died but know one knew this was the last time. I cry my heart out .Still breaks every time i see any part of this show. It aired on tv after he passed. It was so sad.
Nice reaction my friend. I was fortunate enough to see him live in person in June of 1977 2 months before he passed. His health was not good but his voice was still amazing and the sold out audience still loved him very much. It was a magical experience for a 12 year old kid and fan. I will always cherish it and remember it in my life.Keep up the great work! Check out his vocal performance of how great though art in 1977 sometime. His vocal power and passion was still there.
That was one of his favorite songs. The night/early morning he died, he went to his Raquetball court out back of Graceland, played Raquetball bith his cousins and his girlfriend for hours. After that, before returning tonthe house, he sat down at the piano in his Raquetball court, and he played and sang this song, a song called "Blue Eyes Crying in The Rain" , and a gospel song. Then he went to the house at around 5AM....he and his girlfriend retired to his upstairs bedroom/office/bathroom suite, and later that afternoon at 2:33 PM, his girlfriend Ginger found him passed away. Sadly, it was clear he had been gone for hours and even though his enterauge and paramedics attempted CPR, they couldnt....he was gone for too long. It was estimated that he died somewhere around 8:00/8:30 AM. At the time Ginger found him, his enterauge was downstairs getting ready for a tour that was supposed to kick off the next night, August 17th in Portland Maine...instead, they held Elvis' funeral at Graceland. He was prepared and put in his kasket at Memphis Funeral Home (that was the name of it) and taken to Graceland for viewing and funeral services.
I love your honest reaction to Elvis' songs and your description of him when he sings. Polk Salad Annie from Vegas in 1970 is a real good one. He has a lot of fun with it!
Gday Dani. I watch it was first aired in Australia. I was shocked at his appearance. But the great man voice never failed him. Ps I also stutter when I’m nervous. And your version was fantastic .keep up the good work keeping Elvis memory alive.
What a lovely singer and a lovely human with a heart of gold the king will never be forgotten. And there will never be anybody to take his place. So hope your with your mum and a piece good night up there xx

He knew he was dieing, so he gave his all for his fans..... One last time..... The brilliance of his voice is earth shattering... LONG LIVE THE KING..... MAY HE REST IN PEACE!!!!!
@@earlwalker4668 I know not to make dumb comments on here without researching which is what you did. Realize this . Just because you think something is true in your imaginary world doesnt make it fact in the REAL world. Show me one documented instance where Elvis told someone he was dying......oh that's right, you cant because its only real your bubble.
I am amazed a person such as young as you, can clearly speak and convey the power of his song. He was clearly the best of all-time. There will never be anyone in our live time again, never again.
Amazing when you think that this was a mere 4 years after the phenomenal Honolulu show and what happened to the man in that time. He carried a lot. You are amazing by the way also, i feel as though we can feel what you are feeling just through the emotion that your face shows. Thanks so much.
Everyone, let’s not forget he was gone 6 weeks later, he was playing piano while singing AND he hit notes like this - with this kind of raw power, passion and depth WHILE SITTING DOWN!
Really have enjoyed your Elvis reaction videos and have now stumbled across a few of them. You are very sincere and authentic in your responses to watching Elvis. Obviously in some ways this one is a tough one to deal with and I totally get the emotional reactions to it. However once again you demonstrate that in simple words you basically really 'get' Elvis and you do it in a compelling way. Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you for recognizing my sincerity in my reactions. Elvis touches my soul and to honor him I love doing these reactions. I love connecting with people over our shared admiration for him.
I remember several months after he died I was with a group of people to watch this last concert. When he did this song we all cried because we felt he was saying goodbye to the World.
Your critique of this performance was done with such honesty and real motivating questions. I guess because you're an excellent singer yourself, you know every feeling and have a unique 360 view of it. Thank you for an excellent heartfelt review!
No one ever will be able to perform like him look and sing like him one ot the greatest if not the only true icon of the 20th century elvis forever rest in peace
Excellent reaction video Dani, I love your version of this one as well. Very sad to see Elvis in 1977 during his last concert but he was Great and had a powerful voice right up till the end of his career. Take care 👍😀
You were at this concert? That must have been very emotional!
@@DaniAtkinson He didn't have to like he did in the 68 Special or Aloha From Hawaii.. His Presence and his voice was so overwhelming and powerful, that all he had to do is just be there.. Goose Bumps, Cold Chills took over and that was it..
@@DaniAtkinson just seen your reaction to this. No one could have analyzed it better. Well done that lady 👍 X
you know they did try right? point is that no one could stop Elvis from creating his own damnation, you can't tell a 42 year old man "hey don't do that or no that's not good for you" that easy.. also Elvis was depressed and tired.. the drugs, technically medicine numbed the pain
Wow my mom was at this concert too! She was 12 years old sitting in the balcony behind him!
He was dying, but he still gave it his all.
Your face throughout this dani says it all....!!
Joe Esposito said it best, how do you help someone who won't help themself.
Yes he was
Totally! Very poignant.
Joe was a guy carrying Elvis Presley's suitcase as the king gave him employment when nobody else would.
He was so sick, but still gave his all! He's singing with the angels now! RIP, Elvis
Elvis final performance was in Indianapolis IN at Market Square arena...thank you Elvis, you are so loved and missed..love your heart felt reactions ❤
His majestic voice never failed him. There will never be another like him. He will always be the king, no matter what...
@user-sr6fi8wf1p
Friend, I don't care that Bobby Hatfield, he was a countertenor, congratulations to him; however, Elvis was a baritone, he had an extensive vocal range, reaching three octaves and is considered by international critics as one of the best, if not the best voice in popular music; and listening to both, Elvis' voice sounds much more pleasant to me, not to mention the drama he gives to the music, which is extremely inspiring.

"God saw that he needed some rest and
Called him home to be with Him."
RIP Elvis. The world should could use a little Elvis about now.
Powerful words. Yes, when he said "God" it sounded like a plea and cry for help. Broke me.
Did'nt he GIVE Enough

Thank you! I am so happy you can relate to my reactions!
OMG I just can’t - even as sick as he was with breathing issues and all he never lost the passion or his talent. 💖💖💖💖💖💖 To me, that little smile he gives is almost like saying “ I can still do it - I still got it”. I’m 65 now and I remember when the news came out everyone I knew was shocked because we had not heard anything about his health really,
A great man
A great legend never be forgotten
Thank you for this. O am crying . Loved him so much as a little girl, wrote to him, brought his albums to school….miss him
Hi Dani, I am a huge Elvis since the age of 6.
I agree he never wanted to let his fans down fantastic job he did on this song

Thank you! It is truly heart wrenching! No, I think he worked himself to the bone. I wish he would have taken care of himself.
Breaks my heart to see him like that Dani , he'll always be the king of rock and roll in my eyes , what a performer and a guy with a big ,big 💓.
Dani you are so spot on. Elvis's rendition of Unchained Melody was so sad, yet so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
He never lost his voice and stage presence. In his worst health his voice was still Great.
Elvis was a national treasure and still is. I truly enjoy how you break down your analysis of the videos you present and allowing your emotions to be free while keeping them in check. Looking forward to the next.
Thank you!! I try to honor the King the best way that I can.

Oh, I didn't realize he had a stutter at a young age! It is just impossible not to be overcome with emotion during this performance.
There is a song that is soooo beautiful called "Forever my Darlin'....check it out...I would love it..😊😪💘💝💖💥👍👍🤏
Elvis’ remarkable voice never let him or his fans down

No one else could pull this performance off but Elvis! One incredible moment in music history!
I wish he would have put himself first.
He did say to Linda tho I am self destructive!!! So I think he knew what he was doing!!!
I love your voice!! Beautiful
Thank you for the Elvis videos!!!!😊
Thanks Elvis for the Moments . Danke. You are the King. Forever.
The true King!
Another German fan? 🤗
Dani Atkinson yes,
I have been a great fan ever since l was very young and now lm75 and still can't get enough of the king. Never be anybody like him . What about him singing in the ghetto . Wow what a man loved him then and still do xx
I love him so much too! Imagine music without him!!
@@DaniAtkinson l still feel his presents when l have his music on loved the man. The leather suit looked fab but unchanged melody wow send shivers down your back
Well dani. I think every one of the Kings song were fab couldn't imagine life without his music in it and lm talking about a long time as lm75 and instead of putting my feet up there is not better in life that listening to elvis love it
No matter how bad Elvis' health was at the end he could still belt out a song.
It's straight from his heart. I wish he had done this more often. It's sad and wonderful at the same time.
For the sake of clarity, this isn't quite his final show - this is June 21, 1977 and his final show was June 26, 1977.
Dates aside, you have an incredible voice! All best with your singing, hoping you stay safe and well in these difficult times.
Dani, I am still a huge Elvis fan. I love that you are too. You did a great version of this song also!! Best wishes to you.
Yes, he should have been getting the help he needed.
Ted
Came to listen to Elvis but Wow 😳 one hell of a voice, great rendition of unchained melody . Your voice pitch is awesome.
@@DaniAtkinson Thanks!! I'm going to watch now!!!
Interested to know, would you consider reacting to subscribers singing ?
Thank you so much! What a memory that must be for you. The music was his heart and soul! I will check that out!
Elvis 🙏👉👑👈🙏
Elvis is such pain, but through it all he stuck it out and lived to make others happy with his music ❤️
So devastating. Hard for me to think about.
I love your honest reaction to Elvis' songs and your description of him when he sings. Polk Salad Annie from Vegas in 1970 is a real good one. He has a lot of fun with it!
Thank you, Diane! That has been a very popular request! Look out for it later this week
Unbelievable i can watch this every day briliant voice even though he was ill 😘
Another WOW moment with the King! Wow, wow, I was stunned. You did great with it too in that little singing clip!
Thank you, Gene!!! You can check out the full video on my channel also! 3 new videos were just posted!!
@@DaniAtkinson Ok great. This was emotional too, I agree with you.
Gday Dani. I watch it was first aired in Australia. I was shocked at his appearance. But the great man voice never failed him. Ps I also stutter when I’m nervous. And your version was fantastic .keep up the good work keeping Elvis memory alive.
The greatest man to ever live no-one even comes close to him rest with God and your mama elvis I will love you forever
So very sweet.
Me too❤👑
Elvis would tell you there was a greater man. He disliked King said only One True King Jesus Christ.
What a lovely singer and a lovely human with a heart of gold the king will never be forgotten. And there will never be anybody to take his place. So hope your with your mum and a piece good night up there xx

Nobody even dreamed that this man would ever leave us. It was incomprehensible. That's why it was such a shock when he passed.
He knew he was dieing, so he gave his all for his fans..... One last time..... The brilliance of his voice is earth shattering... LONG LIVE THE KING..... MAY HE REST IN PEACE!!!!!
Elvis did not know he was dying. Stop making things up
@@cptathensjohnclaba8705 that's how much u know.
I actually know alot.....not like some ppl🤔🤔🤔😳😳
He was feeling great here. High as hell. Thought he’d live forever. Only a fool would think Elvis knew he was dying.
I am amazed a person such as young as you, can clearly speak and convey the power of his song. He was clearly the best of all-time. There will never be anyone in our live time again, never again.
Aw, thank you!! I agree with, he was totally one of a kind. On another level.
Presley's smile and voice never let him down.
You did a great job singing it.Elvis will live forever.
Thank you sooo much, Truman! You can catch the full video here:

I remember several months after he died I was with a group of people to watch this last concert. When he did this song we all cried because we felt he was saying goodbye to the World.
Your critique of this performance was done with such honesty and real motivating questions. I guess because you're an excellent singer yourself, you know every feeling and have a unique 360 view of it. Thank you for an excellent heartfelt review!
Thank you! It moved me so much, I was so upset after watching this. I had to react from my heart.
How do you protect a man from himself? Elvis’ greatest gift, his incredible voice never failed him!
No one ever will be able to perform like him look and sing like him one ot the greatest if not the only true icon of the 20th century elvis forever rest in peace
Other that having some shortness of breath, Elvis’ voice never gave out. Just as strong as ever.
Excellent reaction video Dani, I love your version of this one as well. Very sad to see Elvis in 1977 during his last concert but he was Great and had a powerful voice right up till the end of his career. Take care 👍😀
Aw, thank you! You take care as well, stay safe!
