This is from his 1968 Comeback Special….but when he came on the scene in 1954/‘55, most people had never seen anything like him….he had the voice, the looks, the moves, the musicianship, the personality…Elvis was the total package!
Shows you how starved a section of young women were for any kind of real sensuality in that era. Elvis allowed us to express ourselves in a way we hadn't before. He took R&B and turned it into something that was able to break through the barrier. In the 70's he didn't have the same critics to fight. He was already accepted by the world. The old American dream was white male centered, when I said "New American Dream", I meant one all inclusive without the prejudices and class privileges that exist today, a truly equal playing field for all, that is why I used the term "hope". It is only my hope that it will go that way and not into the terrible hatred of others different, the engine of fascism!

After seeing how awesome he is in so many different genres, he's definitely the GOAT when you talk about pure pop singers. The looks, sex appeal, swag, charisma, guitar playing, etc., it's all icing on the cake compared to that voice. You've got a lot of that Elvis sex type appeal, too, and a great voice from what I've heard. I'm new here, too, but are you pursuing a singing career?
