    Chrome is so unforgiving!!! Even when I think I have a perfectly smooth nail and top coat, the chrome "shows" me otherwise 🤦‍♀️

    Hi Suzie, I'm a guy who was just searching for your standard "chrome" nail polish and I happened to come across your video. I have for years, always maintained and manicured my own nails, but I had no idea the type of product you educate in even existed! So obviously, I'm new to chrome powders, but very interested! Your tutorial is really fantastic! You are supremely talented in your art and it is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for the information and knowledge you share. Now I just have to decide if I want to invest in a UV lamp and a dremel. I'd really love to try my hand(s) at it. I've subscibed to your channel, just in case. ;)

    You have the Prettiest nails I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot! I love their shape! ❤️❤️ I love this video and all of your videos. I did recently buy some chromes and micas. I’ve not experimented yet with them. I started doing my own nails in June. I started with regular polish, but I hate waiting for each coat to dry! So, I started with the mineral powder polishes (curing with lamps) everyone I follow on FB are using. Love it but it’s too expensive to buy a lot of colors. Hence, I bought the chromes and micas. I’m not a nail tech but I want to learn from your videos. You help a lot! Please keep them coming!❤️❤️❤️

    Great video and even better scientific method. I had no idea how much went into fingernail art and I learned a lot. I'm a bit of a weird guy, I'm an adult who's almost fifty and I make stuff with Lego. Lately I've been making kaleidoscopes using adhesive mirror, but it's not great on curves and impossible on anything with a compound curve shape, but fingernails have that compound curve type shape. I watched another RUclipsr using powder chrome finger nail polish for some hood ornaments that were made of resin and it beat chrome spray paints of high quality hands down! So, I've been watching videos about its use. I'm in this kinda rabbit hole now about making chrome Lego to make fun and interesting things. I'm working on a 3D kaleidoscope with huge sections of mirror, because both eyes are required, but I want to make other things that shine like mirror and I appreciate the information and effort. So, thanks! I will make some videos of stuff I make and Link to my RUclips channel if anyone is interested. Once again, great job and thank you so much!

    Dear Suzie, I love your tutorials and learned several things form you and I m grateful.
    ONE SOS HELP PLS: on Christmas I had my nails done by a salon (I did a permanent gel) and after having them removed I realized they are EXTREMELY THIN and fragile.
    They gave me a THERAPY from a well known brand but NO RESCUE.. even now they are at this same BAD CONDITION.
    -->What do you suggest I do?
    🙏🏼 thank you

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  Год назад +6

      If you had them done about Christmas time and then had them removed there after when they removed them, it sounds like they took off too much of your natural nail, which has caused them to be thin and now they’re probably a little bit sore or tender. Of course you could put more product on it to protect them, but it won’t improve them. The only thing that’s going to make them better is to let them completely grow out. Nails take about 3 to 6 months to grow out from your cuticle the free edge. And there’s only depends on the length of your nail bed and how naturally fast or slow they grow. so rest assured, give it a couple more months and they’ll be feeling a lot better

    Can you use just regular gel topcoat like gelish or DND to cover the chrome ?
    or do you have to use no wipe….. today I had a horrible experience and I can’t figure out what happened. I used gold chrome, & when I put the topcoat on it turned green. I think the no wipe underneath the chrome was old but I just don’t know it was a nightmare😂!!!!!!!!! I ended up buffing the topcoat lightly putting another coat of no wipe and then just doing silver mirror chrome and it was fine then I used a regular Gel topcoat and it seemed OK but I’m telling you I was not happy

    Hey Suzie. Thanks for another great video. I have a question though, you mentioned that it’s important to have a duster to dust the chrome off. But how would you sanitize it? Or could you use the solution that is used to sanitize the other implements.

    • @NailCareerEducation

      You could spray with Alcohol.
      We must be sensitive to sanitation but with in reasonable boundaries.
      Our hands and clients hands should be washed before we sit in the chairs. Then we spray with alcohol. So when you use a duster it’s being used the surface is clean. So keep a few dusters and spray with alcohol with time to dry.

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  Год назад +1

      It can also be from a layer of residue on the previous coach before you apply the topcoat. That’s why I say be careful when it comes to alcohol. If you’re going to use it, it’s quite advantageous to clean it up, but make sure the alcohol dries completely before you put the topcoat on. Top coats will also separate or pit when they doesn’t go together with the previous gel polish brand that you have underneath. It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it. It just doesn’t go with what you’re putting it on top of.

I paid $2800 a year ago to take a gel nail course and 4 months ago my instructor vanished off the face of the earth. It’s extremely frustrating. Hi! I’d like to avoid the extra $20 for chrome at the nail salon and just do it at home. Do you suggest I start with alcohol over the nail salons top coat to get the oils off and then go in with my chrome layer? Or should I put another top coat on top of the nail salons top coat?

    Even with dusting well, chrome gets on my top coat brush, and contaminates the bottle. I’ve tried wiping the brush between nails, but that doesn’t get it all. Any tips to avoid this?

      Honestly I don’t look like her as much as I did when I was 14 till about 30 ish

    The topcoat I have cures in 30 but even 15 makes it so that the chrome has a hard time sticking. I love that top coat though ugh

    When I put a top coat over the chrome I lose its matte effect and it becomes super glittery. Is that a mistake? Shouldn’t I apply top coat over it? Thanks for answering 😊

    Hi Suzie. Quick question; if the chrome covers the entire nail, what does the top coat adhere to? I always thought all layers needed a sticky layer to attach to.

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  Год назад +1

      This why sometimes some will lift cause it doesn’t adhere - but try a thin layer and a good quality top coat

    Could i do this with a no-wipe color? I have a no-wipe black that would be perfect as a base color.

    Do you have to have any specific gel polish or can you use any? Also, does this mess your nails up when it comes off?

    • @NailCareerEducation
      @NailCareerEducation  7 месяцев назад

      Any gel polish - chrome will not mess up your nails - just don’t scrape it off

      @NailCareerEducation okay thanks so much. To get it off so you just soak it or just let it come off on its own

    So I am a nail technician and I take my nails off the right way with acetone but my nails are still so thin and red I even went to school for this and your nails look so healthy how do you not make them thin or red
