Hi guys! It's Romina, welcome back to my channel. Today I want to share with you a video on how to stamp with chrome powders, if you've seen these products before, you will know that they are recommended to be used on gel to last longer but it's also possible to use them with regular nail polishes and get a beautiful result.
Remember that on regular nail polish, these nails will last only a few days but it's a great nail art resource!

Ok so you stamp over a matte topcoat..
@@jenpierce2385 that's one way to do it, and the easiest one. I also showed that works if you stamp over a fast dry top coat or over powder. The idea was to test different powder applications too and see if they work (brush, another stamper, powder directly to the stamping plate, w/regular nail polish, etc) 👍
I'm wondering if a similar thing could be done with gel polish, since that's the only kind I ever use. Thx!
@@andriaduncan5032 I haven't tried with gel yet so I couldn't tell you the steps 🤷🏻♀️ but it should be easy to find some videos about that on RUclips. I hope it helps 🤗

I don't know why I'm seeing this so late but I wanted to stamp with pigments so I had to come back to this wonderful and helpful video..I thought using 2 stampers was genius for placement then use the other stamper to apply the powder BUT ALL OF THESE IDEAS WERE GREAT.. I really love watching your videos old or new..

I have a tip I saw that I have not tried myself yet with all the bright summer colors and no time. But I have the products and wanted to share. When doing a chrome powder you pour a small amount of nail dehydrator into a dish. Add a bit of chrome powder and stir. Then polish the nail! It’s simply flawless and mirror texture- no grainy finish! If you try it tell me how it worked! I’m so busy I don’t have much time to play.

I struggle with stamping powder and want to try the eye shadow stamping. 1 question,,, on the option with orly bonder, how long do you let the bonder dry on the nails before stamping on the nail. Im definitely going to try these options out with my next mani. Thank you. !
Thank you so much! That's so sweet, I'm glad you found my videos useful 😊 Normally when I use orly bonder, I let it dry for 30-45 s before stamping. If it's wet, it's not going to work but it has to be still tacky. You can check with your fingertip 😊👍 I hope it helps

I know this is a bit late but thanks so much! I was looking at a different video on using the chrome powder and stamping and I was having no luck. The putting the powder on the stamper and then using black stamping polish on the image was the ticket! I have beautiful fireworks nails for New Years! Have a great holiday season!!

@@TinyFingersnailart I did! It gave me the confidence to try the chrome powder that came in the Maniology LBH box... without running to the local nail supply store and buying a no wipe gel top coat. And then of course I would have ended up buying other little things 🙄You saved me money haha

On option #4 do you cure before brushing away the excess or cure after removing the excess? Love the video!!!

Excellent! I'be been experimenting with the Hit the Bottle sticky polish and pigment from a PPU and it really helps to have some options to consider. I'm struggling a bit with finely lined images but will keep trying with some others to figure it out. Thanks so much for the ideas! 😍

Excellent video! Do you think this hack can be covered with gel top coat tu cure it in lamp? So the design can last longer...
Thank you! So, normally it's not recommended to cover regular polish with gel top coat because the regular polish needs air to dry and in this process there are also fumes being released in the air. If you cover it up with gel and it's not fully dry, that can encapsulate moist and lead to other issues in the nails. Some people wait at least 24 hours before putting gel on top of the regular polish, but it's not something I'd do. Hope it helps 🤗👍

Absolutely wonderful tutorial!!! I can't wait to start experimenting. Do certain stamp plate images work better than others....hope I didn't confuse you. I saw a video and something was mentioned about negative space images work better. I don't understand what's a negative image.....help please.
Thank you! I'm glad you found the video helpful. Well, it's true that sometimes some plates might work better than others but I haven't noticed any difference to be honest. Negative space images are the ones where you don't pick up the outline of the design but all what's outside that so the actual image is left blank. I hope it helps ❤😊 thanks for watching!

Can you use gel topcoat on top of the water-based top coat to seal in the powder
Well, I don't have experienc with gela but if you use base coat, color and top coat gel, it should be fine 😊

Could you apply sticky base coat to the stamping plates (and powder on the stamper) and transfer the image that way? Wondering if it would work. Basically, treat the sticky base as the stamping polish.
Hi! I haven't tried so I wouldn't know. Base coats are thin in general so I don't know if the designs would transfer very well but it's worth a try. I hope it helps, thanks for watching 🤗❤️

I tried this, but when my base nail is completely dry, the stamp doesn’t stick at all or doesn’t stick 100%. I assume the nail has to be completely dry with the base polish or else the extra chrome powder would never brush off. What is the work around here?
Yeah, the base color has to be completely dry and matte preferably so the chrome only sticks to the stamping polish. You need to work fast with stamping, if you wait too much time the polish is going to dry and not transfer completely. It's better if you use stamping polishes but in the video I also used regular polishes so it's not impossible but you have to do the transfer fast. I hope it helps 🤗
Hi. Thank you this nice video. I followed your instructions but my powder stuck into my matte top coat as well. Maybe it is not a hight quality or I don't know.
Glad you liked it! I'd say the matte top coat wasn't completely dry. They are not fast dry top coats so you'd need to wait longer before applying the powder. Hope it helps! 😊👍

@@orsolyaszentjobbi653 I use the Sally Hansen miracle gel (it's just the name, not real gel) and it has worked great for me 😊. If not, you can use a fast dry glossy top coat and make sure it's completely dry. It should work too 👍
