As a single dad trying to learn stamping for my 9 year old this video helped so much more than all the others ive watched.. and ive watched alot! Thank you so much for all the easy to understand in depth info. I now have more plates, stamping polishes and stampers coming to see if it was me failing or the original plates. Thanks again!
Just seen these, thank you for the kind words. Tbf it's either I try to learn girly things for her (as she has ADHD and ASD) or she becomes a forced tom boy 😅 I never got very good at the stamping, so I gave up in the end but I can paint nails and do her hair to a respectable level, so she still loves me 😁
@Violentkillah I love that you're studying to learn how to interact with her in this way, encouraging her in fun, historically-feminine activities 💙💚💜
Tip #11 - Dont apply too much pressure when rolling or pressing your stamper. I had this issue and I thought it was the stamper, but it was not and once I applied less pressure it worked fine 🙂 Sorry is someone already said this, but this video is 6yrs old, but its still relevant and helpful.
I find that if you use regular polish that has dried out a bit to the point where it's too thick to use normally works really well for stamping. That way you don't have to waste polish or spend extra for stamping polishes. :)
So incredibly helpful! I wish you could do more videos on using foils and loose glitter/holos. You explain everything so clearly and have such a soothing voice!! 🙏🙏🙏
great thanks Natasha :) i often use the decal method where I paint a clear coat of polish over the image while it's still on the stamper then when that's dry peel it off. also means you can cut the image up and place it exactly where you want it. although a clear stamper works, with some images I find the decal method a bit easier.
claireh0299 Thanks for the tip. I will try it because even after watching the video, I was like "well it's confirmed, I will never be able to stamp, ever."
@NatashaLee Another brilliant, well organized video. Thank you so much! I feel like I need a crib sheet in outline for me to remember all the information you provided. Rolling, dabbing, squishy or less so... I really appreciate all the time and practice you've done to get to this level of expertise.
Thank you!!! I have had issues with stamping for years now. Today is the very first time I have actually been able to stamp. This video was very helpful!!
Natasha you always have great clear easy tutorials. Morgan Taylor black is my new favorite black polish I don't see myself ever going back to any other.
God! I wish I had this video when I was learning to stamp! It was a terrible experience cause I saw so many videos and every one recommended different things like "This is the best way to scrape/pick an image/stamp" and it made me so angry when it didn't work for me. In the end I did realize that I have to change techniques and find the best that worked for me, but a video like yours would have been so much help :D
Thank you SO MUCH oh my goodness. I was getting so so frustrated. I think the most important things that helped me was the lint roller, the low scraping angle, and when I noticed you wiped the scraper off on a paper towel. I watched so many videos and this one helped the most, thanks a ton! For users in the US: I have gotten some plates from shein that have worked okay! I have found that as far as drug store nail polish, the wet n' wild silver worked really well and the sally hansen hard as nails 470 unbreakable heart worked amazing; also revlon colorstay gel envy 440 wildcard.
Thank you for this video. I learned a great stamping idea from Twi Star. Before stamping, put a thin layer of a base coat that stays a little tacky like Orly Bender or Yellow stopper on top of your polish. It won’t affect the color of your manicure but it will give you more time to stamp. Same theory as you using the lint roller paper in this video. Maybe you will try it out in a future stamped nail art video? Hope so! Take care, Rose
Thank you thank you thank you!!! I’ve been going mad trying to do this for 3 hours lol. Finally think I figured out the issue, I was scraping the polish wrong. Thank you!! I wish I could like this a million times!!
Was watching your video and I had the same issue with the plates like you have with the angel on. After much trial and error, I found that the dense stampers work best with them than the jelly ones. I found the stamper in a Chinese dollar store and for some reason it is able to pick up the stamping polish perfectly. Thanks for the great info!
I've been stamping for a while with variable success. You explained some of the things I think were messing me up when I first started. P.s. I love how you even explained which part of the stamp was negative space for super-duper beginners. Nice touch! P.p.s. Not to be THAT person but I love your accent, too! Haha.
Thank you for your informative video my husband bought me a set of stamp stuff while I'm stuck in bed after surgery because he is so sweet, I made the mistake of watching it with him and he went a little crazy because you kept saying hacks when it was more tips and tricks the most entertaining I've had in a while watching him talking to the tv like u could hear him. Again thank you so much
I don't do nails, but I do use a lot of the nail art materials for crafting, your videos are not only an awesome resource but really entertaining too. You have a great personality! Thanks for the info.
Great video! I love stamping and love the comments I get on my nails when I do it. I also find that the patches in the final pick up are due to the angle in which you scrape and also the pressure. You don't have to drag so hard as it pulls the wet polish out of the etching.
Can I just "box" your voice and take it home with me? It's beautiful. I'm new to the stamping, but learning quite a bit. I ordered a bunch of plates and a new stamper the other day and I just received everything yesterday. Now, wish me luck! Thank you so much for the video. 😊
Honestly I use the clear stamper and I've never had any problems! I got mine along with my slate and polish really cheap off of wish (maybe $6 - $8) and I love it!
This video came at the perfect time for me! I just ordered my first stamper and plates and they should arrive this week :) I'm very excited to try it out!
Thanks for sharing these terrific hacks/techniques. I've never stamped, so this will certainly help. I also appreciate reading the comments here too, thanks for sharing your hacks as well.
I had just bought the same clear stamper scraper set from aliexpress as well and was having issues with it. I found once i washed the jelly part and used an old club card to scrape it works well. Thank you for the great tips.
Hi Natasha, I'm a beginner to stamping, I usually do my nail art via freehand (mostly) or using stencils, or nail vinyls. I've not been too successful yet with my stamping technique, so this video is really helpful to me, thanks for posting it!!! 😊💅🏼
I watched a bunch of videos and tried everything to make it work but the motives on my plates didn´t stamp good. I had a lot of which didn´t stamp at all and some did. You are the first one I found to say and show that the plates could be bad. Thank you! I guess I will try other ones then.
This was one of THE BEST nail hacks and tips for stamping by far. I really learned a lot , you talked about every issue I've been dealing with, so thanks 😊😀

I thought I had zero talent with stamping. After watching your video I realized it's because of the plates! Just subscribed.
Amazing tips!! I have a few different stampers and plates so you have motivated me to try again when I have some spare time 😁 Thank you so much Natasha 😘😘 xx
Hi there, Natasha! LOVE that Hit The Bottle blue. If I may ask, is it 'Peacock Shimmer'?? Oh, and is there a US distributor for your BRAND NEW SECRET stuff?! Shipping charges to US (for a non-professional ordering smaller quantity) is prohibitive. Thanks in advance!
Absolutely fantastic tutorial, thank you. So much information it’s gone into my “Must have tutorials “ list and believe me not many get into my file of must haves ha ha ha ❤️🇦🇺
I wish this video was around when I started stamping! I learned all this through trial and error, with some massive fails here and there (I'm very glad no one was around to see those mistakes lol). Great video ^.^
Great video Natasha! I'm a beginner and the ideas are springing around in my head. I've been having trouble with the polishes. Thank you for the video! I learned great information.
Very, very helpful video... I'm knew to this and I'm very frustrated how to use the kit because I love to design my nails but I'm having a lot of challenges... thank you so much for sharing this video with us ❤
Thank you so much. I’ve just recently started doing my nails because going to the salon every two weeks is expensive and I don’t always like the outcome. I’ll call this my art therapy so when I spend money It’ll be justified. ☺️
New subscriber from Australia and I am very pleased that you have used Hit the Bottle and Dixie Plates in this video as they are both fantastic brands. I used to use many different brands of stamping polish but have cut it down to a few brands and I gave the rest away but out of the brands I kept I use Hit the Bottle the most
Thank you for the tips and tricks!! I've just bought some nail stamping polish and its ok but I may get some of the polishes on this video. I also am getting me a clear stampers as soon as I can!!
I love your nail polishes and the plates are really nice I like that rainbow polish I am struggling in finding the right regular nail polish that stamps
After a thousand of video on youtube, FINALLY found that video and on a 0:30 s i made a facepalm....what was the problem with my stamping? well.. only Natasha says about protective film. THANK YOU!!! It could be obvious, but not for me, i didnt pay attention why my plate is blue...
Hi Natasha thanks for this super video. Liked and subscribed. I have some tiny stamp designs on plates outlines of cartoon characters and I have tried every which way to get them up cleanly but they simply will not pick up well. Any videos on those tiny outlines stamps or more tricky plates? I use most of your suggested hacks already just for a super sized clear stamp pad for reverse transferring like you love the clear ones. Also which stamping polish do you find best? I only use MoYou at the moment.
Thank you for your vid! I have a clear stamper and tried some plates but the stamper didn't pick up the polish :( What do I do wrong? Is it in connection with the remover? What should I do?
Hi Natasha! With the Apipila stamping plates I find that they stamp better when I use a metal scraper and the regular hard Konad stamper. :* I love your videos.
That's a great idea! I love my metal scraper. I've been using my set for almost 20 years. I don't want to scratch my new plates. Thank you for the tip!
hii I have a question. Alternatively, I think freezing the polish for a few minutes beforehand works too
Stamping polishes are highly pigmented. They are the best.
I've noticed that matte polishes also do a good job for stamping as well 😉
Any polish that is highly pigmented and dry fast works well as a stamping one. 😊
@@kamillagirl awesome thank you for the tip how long do you put in the freezer
So incredibly helpful! I wish you could do more videos on using foils and loose glitter/holos. You explain everything so clearly and have such a soothing voice!! 🙏🙏🙏
I would love a loose glitter video from here I have seen a few from others that aren't as good and kinda hard to follow
These are more like tips/advice rather than hacks, but they're still pretty helpful. Thanks!
Thank you for your teaching videos. You never make us non professionals feel stupid while showing your tips & tricks. I appreciate that.
great thanks Natasha :) i often use the decal method where I paint a clear coat of polish over the image while it's still on the stamper then when that's dry peel it off. also means you can cut the image up and place it exactly where you want it. although a clear stamper works, with some images I find the decal method a bit easier.
claireh0299 idk how making a decal is easier than just stamping straight onto nails..
claireh0299 Thanks for the tip. I will try it because even after watching the video, I was like "well it's confirmed, I will never be able to stamp, ever."
Same here! Uhh I hate putting effort into stamping only to have the image crooked.
You literally answered ALL my questions and now I can actually stamp my nails! LIFESAVER!!!

Oh my Gawd, I love your voice so much! I could listen to it all day long!
Thank you Paulina ♥️
@@NatashaLeeDivine You are most welcome!
Thank you that has explained why I'm having issues stamping. May need stamping polish as mine are thin and dry out before I can capture the image
what a lovely video! this was to the point and gives great advice to beginners. great job! 👏👏
How do you keep your top coat from smearing the image?
Wait 10 minutes before top.coat and do so gentle
Thank you! I tried stamping and I was so disappointed. Now I know a few things I was doing incorrectly. Can't wait to give it another shot.
Great hacks! Thank you. I have messed up a couple stampers because I used acetone. Using a lint roller from now on! 👍
Hi Natasha! With the Apipila stamping plates I find that they stamp better when I use a metal scraper and the regular hard Konad stamper. :* I love your videos.
Thank you so much! I loved the tutorial! You always do such an amazing job!
I never had a problem with metal scrapers, I always put Scotch tape over the blade and it worked wonderfully.
That's a great idea! I love my metal scraper. I've been using my set for almost 20 years. I don't want to scratch my new plates. Thank you for the tip!

Thank you. I am new at this and you helped so much.
Brilliant thank you - you explained it all so well
Great demonstration. You got down to business without all that crap talk that many people carry on with.
