I do agree that a form of trauma can encourage someone to lower their inhibitions, but I don't think they would do anything they hadn't deeply desired to begin with - so they don't care to do it now - that said, I think this guy had a hidden desire for kids before anything happened to him, and I think he would've acted on it eventually regardless. I also think he's just using PTSD as an excuse for getting caught... Speculatively, if he hadn't got caught, how sorry would he really be? I think he's sorry that he got caught - which is why he's using PTSD as an excuse - not that he's sorry for doing what he was there to do in the first place.

This was one of the most scary ones, he tried to lure her out of the house and had weapons, duct tape and a camera in his car. I'm convinced this would have ended with an abduction and killing.

I wouldn't automatically recognize this guy if I walked by him. People forget about one guy on TV. It's the legal battle and registry that ruin him. It limits all your life opportunities forever.
